He surely would have gotten beat running against Bolt in the 200 in the World Championships, but he would have put up at least a 19.40 had he run in it. Plus he let up at the end of this race. The only problem with Gay is that there's always something going on. Whether it's his groin, hamstring or some other body part, he's almost never 100 percent.

I think Tyson Gay would give Bolt a good run, not beat him, but at least offer some kind of challenge. I'm not so sure Bolt would have been able to run that 9.58 if Gay wasn't in the race. Bolt doesn't consistently run in the low 19's. When he races, he normally goes about 19.65 as he did the other day. I'm not quite sure of the number, but Gay has run under 19.70 at least a half-dozen times. He's not a bad 400 meter runner either.

English schools winner for your age group would be about 11.1 - 11.4, perhaps better, but to qualify you would need only 11.8 I think (it was that about 8 yrs ago when I was running). You've got another year, so don't worry about it. You need to run 11.5 to be competitive.
