Wrong picture! This one is - as you mention yourself - too good to show the strong effect of curves. What a pity of this - well meant - tutorial.

it's nice! well done, however people would expect more from the curves... u should explain what are those dots that u placed, what do they represent, and the 2 halfs alongside that line which enlight and darken the picture... moreover you could say how to get rid of unwanted dots on the s-curved line because people tend to do mistakes at first and they may get confused and probably hit "cancel" then try again... xD hope I rang a bell there... try doing a more advanced tout. people would love it!
