Why does everyone complain about somebody putting stickers on a guitar, its decoration. You might say it looks ugly, But when you look at Rivers Cuomo's old guitar, or Billie Joe's guitar, It looks "sick" or cool? Leave these people alone, if they want to "ruin" a guitar let it be.

stickers have been on my guitars for years, when i took them off, there is still a mark were the sticker has been.. how do i get it off?

@SuperXchloeX That's the issue with other sticker products. Most are designed to be permanent, so the adhesive is aggressive, and often uses solvents, which can react chemically with your surface. You might want to try a mild soap to remove any residue…

Sticviews use low-tack water based adhesives, which are very forgiving, and facilitate clean removal. They’ll protect your surface, so about the only thing to consider is the fading/aging/scratching of the rest of the (unprotected) surface...

@liamzuid the adhesive is a bit stronger that a post it note. If your paint is not already flaking off, then sticviews wont take it off either.

you could do something interesting with either whitestic or clearstic. That's Landon Austin applying whitestic sticviews to his guitar. Whitestic is like a vinyl post it note, it's great for everything.

He could have placed a clearstic sticview on the white area between his pickups. Any design printed dark would be quite prominate. Any white areas of an image appears clear when printing on ClearStic material.

@maecallate Wrong. These are sticviews, they're akin to a vinyl post it note. Totally safe: indoors or out, for years.

Beware of more aggressive adhesive products, and don't ever use a product made for car wraps, even from one of the big name brands, which IS a good way to ruin a guitar.
