According to Melanie Henderson (Kathy) there was talk about the Short Circus going on tour. They did appear on the Tonight Show.  The third version performed at Lincoln Center.

Watch out for The Blob! Look your doors! And since they say the only way to kill it is to eat it for dessert have your knife and fork and a can of whipped cream handy! LOL! This was on The Best Of DVD (Vol 1) and before it was a skit with The Mad Scientist and Igor (the first one I think) where they created a blob that they were gonna have for desset but it got away, and this song came right after, so I assume the blob in this song is the same one? LOL
