before Danny Kirwan joined Peter Green was going to leave music, he was getting little help from the band: Danny joined & wrote half the songs for the new album, even taking over lead guitar much of the time in the studio & on stage: Peter stayed as a result & this freed him up to produce his best music ever, including this classic: Peter now says that it could not have been without Danny since he changed the course of the song when Peter was trying to write it: making it the song we love.

This isn't a remix of the original version of Albatross. it's a re-recording of the song by Chris Coco and Peter Green. It seems that Chris did his own cover and there are versions with Peter Green playing with him. These are all recent recordings.

This isn't the old Mac...I'm pretty sure. If anything, that's Christine McVie on keyboards. So, post Peter Green...unless it was from the time after Jeremy left and Peter filled in...any details on when and where this was recorded? But, I do like it. Would be great to have on an alarm clock to wake up to.
