  • If not the Most... one of the Most boring songs I ever crossed my ears on.

  • Whoa, I remember downloading this video from Kazaa 8 years ago. Haha...oh Kazaa. Thank God for youtube. Can't believe Kid A is almost 12 years old. Oh and this song was the reason I first said the words "hauntingly beautiful" out loud. Love live Radiohead!

  • Dear god, I can't believe that someone dislikes this song...

  • 7. burst into tears

  • i'm in my favourite part of youtube

  • @Badhead90 amen

  • I want that Bass line..

  • Hipster Colin : Wearing Hipster Glasses before they were cool.

  • qué maravilla...

  • Colin has never ever looked at the crowd. lol

  • reading through these comments and ones on other videos seems no one can take a joke i mean i like radiohead just as much as you idiots but c'mon relax a bit .....ps justin beiber rox :P

  • What to do while listening to this song?

    1. Take a seat on your favorite place

    2. Put on your earphones

    3. Be sure that the volume is at an appropriate level (loud enough to silence all the crap in the world)

    4. Press start

    5. Close your eyes

    6. Get ready to leave your problems aside, to forget the world and to visit places no one else has visited before

(The song has ended, open your eyes and go back to the reality, just to realize that drugs are not needed when you have songs like this...)

  • This is quite probably the greatest song (ever). It's not a cheery song by any means but I cannot help but shut my eyes and grin at the sheer splendour of it. I feel happy that such beauty exists in the world.

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111

  • Dear people of the world, I present to you what is known as "music" none of that ke$ha or beiber crap.

    Radiohead FTW!

  • The most beautiful song ever written...

  • what i would give to see this live for myself...

  • what is that beginning riff on this video, its familiar because i first saw this video 5 years ago, but it bugs me that i don't know what it is.

  • @jorgepeterbarton It's probably Jonny with the Ondes Martenot and Ed doing some sort of sound with his guitar.

  • wouldn't you love to be a bass player in a band like this? 4:26

  • This is a real piece of Art. A piece of Art that you can think and fly to the most unexpected places in your (un)consciousness. A piece of art that let you know your own mind. (and no..I'm not on drugs xD)

  • THIS SONG TAKES PLACE IN DUBLIN...I WOULDN'T WANT TO BE THERE EITHER

  • i love the bass line and weird sustained note through the first verse

  • this is best alive performance ive ever seen!

  • love it

  • don't even mention that joke of a musician's name, this is real art

  • who doesn't feel this amazing song has some weight in their lives?

  • This isn't radiohead, it's actually a group of super intelligent alien beings sent to perform for us from a nearby galaxy. Their purpose is to expose us to the perfection that music can achieve. It was done in good faith with the expectation that we will rise up and revolt against the crap we call "music"

  • @rhinovb14 ahhhahaha you funny fucker.

  • @rhinovb14 I always knew the aliens hanging around here were introspective and depressive.

  • This is up there with Bieber.

  • @danieljamesmead Dont mention the B-dude here plz

  • @danieljamesmead how insulting..

  • @danieljamesmead i wish bieber could disappear completely

  • @danieljamesmead if this is "up there with Bieber", then can you tell me why the musicians in this video show emotion? Wait, so why aren't the audience members killing each other over right to be thom's husband? Oh wait, this isn't up there with bieber.

  • @squiresuzuki Was kinda being sarcastic my friend

  • where and when is this ?

  • I was brought here by ~aclesax. :D

  • The most beautiful song ever written, in my opinion.

  • where is this?

  • save a soul. share this song.earn heaven.

  • One of the best songs ever!

  • stupid noise

  • @Nightchild100 You fucking faggot ass whore you need your teeth knowcked the fucken out.

  • @Nightchild100 stupid noise ?? shut up you suck

  • FABULOUS, FABULOUS, FABULOUS, FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know what year this was from? I'm assuming it was dublin, coz of reaction to the Liffey line.. basically i'm trying to find a mp3 version of this.. does anyone know if it even exists? Yes, i know about saving FLV files to mp3, but the quality sucks like that. I want something like a proper 128 version, but wpi;d prefer 192. So.. if anyone knows, could you send me a PM? Thanks in advance guys. This version is sooo good that i must have it.. and yes, i've bought every album of theirs!

  • @ex0duzz I believe this is on the "meeting people is easy" video.

  • @ex0duzz this is from the first of two nights in glasgow, scotland. the date is sept. 28, 2000. i have my own personal recording of this show as i was there that night. i remember seeing this footage on the viewscreens that night (i was really far away from the stage) and i remember reading that the band had that particular show recorded (both audio and video). there should be a good version of this show floating around somewhere.

  • the greatest song ever!!!!

  • Five years ago this song rang in my mind every day. Looks like the melody is back in my head.

  • Anybody knows the name of song that sounds before the radiohead' song

  • @jsantonio81 It's all the same song.... It's Just Johnny fucking around with the Ondes Marrionete.

  • epic.

  • Where was this recorded? Was it Dublin?

  • @colm147 I think so, they cheer when Thom sings, "I float down the Liffey"

  • oh, come on, release this new CD at last...

  • vota por mí!

  • that squiggly line shit is the bee's knees.

  • @drlovelifephd I lol'd

  • UNA DE LAS MEJORES CANCIONES DE RADIOHEAD, CUANDO ESCUCHO ESTA CANCION LO UNIKO KE PIENSO ES EN MI MADRE Y MI PADRE.. LAS PERSONAS MAS VALIOSAS QUE ME DIO DIOS.. DESDE LIMA-PERU >>>>>>>>VISITA MACHU PICCHU<<<<<<<<<

  • I just recorded a blend of Radiohead's 'How To Disappear Completely' and Thom Yorke's 'Hearing Damage'. I'd be interested to see what Radiohead/Thom Yorke fans think of it?

    It's on my channel...

  • This is by far, the most influential concept of art that the 20th century has bring to us.

Thank God i´ve seen them live, now i have something to tell to my grandchildren...

  • the first 4 seconds sound like Nick Drake's guitar.

This performance is unvelibable, I think that in the future even robots will feel the angst of radiohead's songs.

  • such a great live gig.....music comes down to earth with radiohead...

  • the intro sounds like hearing damage yeah!!!!!

  • anyone here have any idea how you can reproduce that wave display, what is it they are using? hardware? software?

  • johnny = art

  • johnny is a genius

  • The Ondes Martenot makes me so happy.

  • The Ondes Martenot is such a mind blowing instrument when well used.

  • This is absolutely unreal. What a band! What a fucking band! Johnny Greenwood is an extremely special musician

  • this is "THE" version. Those Jonny' synths arrangements are sweet ...the way they played in that kid a/amnesiac tour. Amazing

  • Johnny play all the instruments with telekinesis

  • wow

  • That is what I call Metaphysics

  • That there ... Martenot waves that is.

  • Beautiful song...definitely something I can listen to if I'm feeling down.

  • i'm so jealous a friend of mine got to see them live, also kinda resentful he didn't tell me sooner that he was going to see them live so that i could get tickets before they were either sold out or the prices had sky-rocketed

  • @brucelee6790 i`ve seen them 7 times since the 90`s, and will go every chance i get for the rest of my life because after the concerts over you feel enlightened.

  • One of the most haunting and fragile songs I've ever heard. Once my boyfriend made me love Radiohead. He disappeared completely. But Radiohead are still there.

  • :) He gave you important stuff :)

  • Simply stunning

  • This video reminds me the time when Youtube did not exist and I dowloaded this perfomance in Kazaa using a 56k modem. I was like sixteen and Kid A was the soundtrack of my days.

  • @Reverly oh dude.

  • @Reverly Haha, same here. I have this burnt onto a data CD from high school. Still a great performance

  • @Reverly Yes.

  • The music right at the beginning is 'My Beautiful Friend' by the Charlatans.

  • @Reverly Totalmente cierto.

  • one of the most beautiful songs they've made

  • It is so thrilling, so sad, but still...

  • speachless

  • I think all reactions are crap....this is simply an amazing performance

  • haha colins little smile of satisfaction when he pulls off the bass lick at 4.29 :P

  • What an awesome live version. Thanks.

  • they are AMAZING!

no unusefull lights, just necessary ones and a voice...what a fucking good voice...thom's voice...i float down the liffey

  • i agree. they never overdo things on stage. their performance is all that is really necessary. and i hear all this talk from my friends about how amazing coldplay was live because they dropped balloons onto the crowd....BALLOONS!! : /

  • really loved the performance

  • Dear Santa, can I please have 1 billionth the talent of Thom Yorke. And a nice bike.

  • @slaphead99uk its not just Thom Yorke, is Radiohead!

  • @slaphead99uk He is not of us...and we are not worthy!!

  • I was expecting something different at the beginning maybe a better one. Anyway, it´s great. Radiohead is great. thanks!

  • love Colin's glasses!....O-O

  • this is the best thing they've ever done. possibly the best thing anyone has done.

  • Kid A is by far Radioheads best album.

  • I like Ok Computer better.

  • I agree with you...but bottom line....it's what we are in the mood for....tonight is The Bends night.....

  • i think Kid A and Ok Computers are both amazing albums, and are also veeery different in their own ways. While I prefer Kid A any day over Ok Computer, it's still a five star album and it all comes down to personal preference. there is no right or wrong. Kid A is clearly the best "rock" album of this past decade

  • i think ok computer is way more of a rock alum then kid a....

  • infact optimistic is the only song that even comes close to being rock lol

  • YUOR AZAMNIG MNID

  • no siht

  • YouTube + Radiohead = a lot of happiness. Thanks to both.

  • I agree with u

  • this is the soundtrack to my life, and its perfect in every way and it scares my half to death to know what song i want played when I die, but its also calming in a way

  • Yes, this and, "Everything In Its Right Place". The last thing I will hear.

  • i agree its one the most deep and crazy....but they dont play it live....at least last year was not in barcelona:(

  • Is this in Ireland? They seem to enjoy the Liffey reference

  • yeah it was.

  • Comment removed

  • Thom Yorke said in a interview, this song is the most beautiful work they have done.

  • I agree with thom :)

  • and Thom agrees with you too!

  • Espectral, profunda, sumisa, meláncolica, irritante...: los adjetivos sobran, solo es necesario esucharla y punto.

  • the bass is really simple but i fucking love it.

  • how in earth can anyone write such a epic beautiful song

    its just amazing

  • the music of radiohead always gives me the idea that it can not be done life....untill you see them..amazing

  • Thom said that if they were to be remembered for one song it would be this song. He said it straight away and said its because its the most beautiful song they have ever written.

  • This song is so amazing. They played it live last summer in LA and I just remember being entranced and swaying my head back and forth and letting the music flow over me. So gorgeous.

  • i certainly wont'!

  • Fuck off,... just fuck off, your comment should be tortured man

  • They absolutely nailed that. Its probably my favourite song.

  • this is so fucking good.

  • don't panic... you all get frantic by just reading the headline... actually they plan releasing more internet singles and EPs in future

  • Absolute perfection. No more albums from Radiohead though :(

  • How do you know this?

  • they are working on one

  • this is art

  • Does anyone remember watching this on it's broadcast on MTV back in 2000?

  • don't talk about the jonas brothers in a radiohead discussion ever

  • HEY, guys, I just uploaded another live version of this song, with a long outro. I made a simple video to it. If you wanna watch it, check my channel for it!

  • i love the bass,,it sounds very powerful...

  • Greatest radiohead song

  • Radiohead seem to be able to catch a moment of human fraility and some how make it touchingly beautiful..

  • absolutely incredible.

  • god i love this song

  • i actually disappeared once, justo close your eyes and imagine that you are in one place with no floor no roof and no walls

  • I LOVE RADIOHEAD....

    HOW TO DISAPPEAR

  • very cool

  • Best Kid-A song by far

  • More like best Radiohead song.

  • INCREDIBLE, i cant get enough of this song

  • wonderful

  • Awesome!

  • Amazing!

The most honest yet sophisticated and deep band alive!

  • Why don't you just rip it off of Youtube?

  • How fucking good is this versiion!?

  • very? lol

  • this song made me cry when i heard it live...

  • In an age where making music seems to be about sampling music already created by others, writing deriviative, corny lyrics laid over simplistic guitar chords, and having an image rather than quality music to sell (Cases in point: Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers), Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, Colin Greenwood and Phil Selway are Gods among musicians.

  • TRUE MY FRIWND> VERY TRUE

  • well i think as long as Miley Cryus and Jonas Brothers are promoting good morals and standards theres really nothing with them, and theres nothing wrong with simplistic chords, like this song, and i believe Radiohead and many others sample music and i can respect that., I believe all music has its purpose, leave Miley Cyrus for the unguided kids who just need a good infuence, (they'll just have to watch themselves) and leave Radiohead for you and me. :)

  • Dunno why you got 5 thumbs down, you're right on mate, all music has a place it's art not sport and because of that nothing can be better than anything else

  • i guess people just hate Miley Cryus
