  • love the song!'

  • Amazing! :)

  • Good stuff, I checked your site and a few vids. LOVE YOUR MUSIC CHOICE! :)

  • 550ex or 580ex ?

  • @aboha6 read description... 550ex. im too poor for 580ex

  • @aboha6 Dont get caught up in what pights was used, light is light .. any speedlite could do the same job.

  • @rickjbradbury

u understood my question in a bad way, but thanx anyway

  • dude that is very very creative!!!

  • great shots! I have to ask whats the title of the background song though. :))

  • Damnnn Great' good Job!

  • Although, I'd put the 580 outside, since its weather proof and all that! :D Good work.

  • @darknova666 weather proof isnt water proof ;)

  • damn cool!

  • @chriscombe I'm pretty certain god doesnt produce anything.

  • lovely...

    smthing different :)

  • I thought it was really good, even the outfit. I think the sweater accent the out of focus rain drops in the background perfectly. The model is adorable. I'd compare it to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blood Sugar Magik, album; organic. I watched it a few times. Thanks for posting. Can't wait to purchase some speed lights. Saving my coins

  • Tune!!!!!

  • wow ... on a xsi... it makes me feel good about my t1i :D

  • I love this Song, and your work. Great Job and God Bless!

  • Im just getting into high speed photography concept... the important part are the flashes right? I´m guessing normal flash doesnt cut it?

  • great job :D

  • I understand everything except how you produce the rain.

  • @rezrocknj I didn't produce the rain... God did :)

  • @adrianvilcan so you had all your equipment in the rain?

  • @adrianvilcan ok so you set up lights in the rain? i don't understand.

  • @adrianvilcan I'm an atheist

  • @rezrocknj Great question...even better answer :-)

    b/b)O(

  • awesomeee job thanks for the tips!!!!! now theres no excuse when its raining outside =D lol

  • loved it, wanna try it too

  • how many flashes were used?

  • @disruptfam Two, a 550EX and a 430EX

    triggered by CTR-301P

  • good stuff, thanks!

  • Nice 1 - thanks for the upload. Note to self - slip a clear plastic bag or two into my kit!

  • @colliedogjoy oh yes yes yes! do that.. rain shots are awesome.. but not worth ruining gear for .. haha, thanks for comment!

  • The black and white at :54 is particularly stunning. Amazing work!! Thank you for sharing!

  • @ltcell Thank you! check out the flickr set, you can see it better quality :)

  • Diagram of the set-up is excellent. Very clear and concise. Good job!

  • @08ZXRider thank you for the encouragement, I have plans for upcoming videos :D

  • Love Kim Walker!

  • Great pics and great song!

  • its cool i guess, but her outfit sucks. it doesnt fit at all the style that should be accompanied by falling rain and the atmospheric look that that brings

  • @leviphillip thanks for comment.. i dont mind the clothes, all have different personal tastes. however still thanks for comment! :)

  • awesome photos want to try it now :)

  • @devchonka18 do it! do it! (remember to cover your gear)

  • AWSOME!!

    i just love the photos!

i getting into lighting now, so im definetly going to try this one day!

    thanks!

  • like the shot and the music!!!

  • If only the model would spread her arms out and smile to the sky. Cool shot!

  • @ucheucheuche : agree

  • I've watched this video a few times over the past year just to keep reminding myself of images I like and would like to reproduce. You wouldn't happen to remember your camera settings would you? 1/125? 1/250? F8? ISO 100

  • @Mexico911 for all shots i had ISO200 and 1/200 (used CTR-301p ebay triggers) for some closeups i had f2.8 but for most, f4.5.... when u do don't forget to cover up ur gear to not get wet :)

  • @Mexico911 i would guess it would depend on the light. the canon syinc speed is 1/200 so to get the dark background i would start there with iso100 and prob about f16 then adjust the f number up or down till you get the shot you like :) also a tv of around 1/60 gives nice trails on the water if you don't use flash, makes for an intresting portrate shot :)

  • Cool photos! I like how you illustrate the technical aspect of it, very informative. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together.

  • @chuda99 check out my other strobist videos, they all have diagrams and examples.

  • good job man

  • so nice!

  • great photos, always wanted try these kinda of photo but instead of rain we get sand -_- and hows the taron lens, thinking of getting a Tamron 70 - 200mm f/2.8

  • @windtalker2005

thanks! for the same price of the tamron 70-200mm you can get the Sigma.. i recommend it because it has HSM :) so faster focusing

  • @adrianvilcan

thanks for the info, am going to be using a nikon d70 and hopefully nikon d700 this spring :)

  • @windtalker2005 whenever you do.. share it I'd like to see what you come up with :)

  • Awesome shots there. Did you have the back flash gelled? It looks blue in some of the shots. I have to try this. Hopefully my gear will stay dry.

  • @StevoDisaster Thanks! No i did not use any gel.. however when i chose the right color balance i think it might've made it a little blueish image. if you put a transparent bag over your flash and wireless you should be fine.. :)

  • Nice pictures... Ive been looking for someone to post up tutorials. Thanks a bunch

  • @wngjapyng you're welcome.. keep checking in, whenever ill get a good idea worth sharing.. ill make a vid for it :)

  • might try this with all the snow right now!

  • @caphics did you do it ? when we had some snow I took some shots.. see the description of vid for flickr link.

if you tried to too share the pics.. i'd like to see em

  • very cool!

  • Great work!!!

  • thanks
