  • 8 -| ( my face )

  • I like that this video is only four seconds long. iI learned that the moon does rotate and that the pause button olny does so much.

  • lame go get a job bum

  • THIS IS AWESOME INFORMATION!!!

  • Ohhh okay

  • the moon moves because it is in a fixed gravitational pull with the equator of the earth so it shares the earths rotation cycle of 23.7 hr, Like they both share the same axis point, BUT FACT IS THE MOON DOSE NOT spin or rotate on its own axis and we always see the same side. Which completely goes against any argument of how the moon got to be in its current position. It would have had to have been placed in orbit already in the gravitational pull of the earth like a satellite

  • @parrhesiastes2012

Well, the Moon does rotate. In fact, the Moon takes 27.3 days to turn once on its axis. But the Moon also takes 27.3 days to complete one orbit around the Earth. Because the Moon’s rotation time is exactly the same amount of time it takes to complete an orbit, it always presents the same face to the Earth

  • @parrhesiastes2012 Of course the moon rotates, and yes, it rotates ON ITS OWN AXIS. Who told you otherwise? If the Moon doesn't rotate ON ITS OWN AXIS, then neither does Earth.

  • @parrhesiastes2012 Correct... But many people are fooled into thinking it does rotate on it's own axis every 27.3 days... it rotates with respect to the sun every 27.3 days but NOT on it's OWN axis... also it rotates another once every 24 hours with respect to the sun because of the earth rotating on it's axis once every 24 hours with respect to the sun... and one more time every year with respect to the sun for every time the earth goes around the sun every year.

  • amazing video, now i can argue with nasa

  • Oh... So that's why we see one face. That made a lot of sense... Very interesting. Thanks for the video.

  • Moon doesn't rotate at all!

Center of mass of the moon is closer to "our" side, or side we see all the time. So, gravitational entanglement between center of mass and center of mass of the Earth causes that moon only librate, but not rotate.

If one day moon begin to rotate (and it may be possible), we all will be in big trouble - massive earthquake all over the world. Not to mention volcanic activity, tidal anomaly and other nasty stuff.

  • way to fast?!?!?!?

  • maybe you pay to much money for uploading?

    change internet connection

  • you only see 1 face it spins like a clock

the back side is relatively smooth but never seen from earth

every 28 days it has a wobble

1 6th of the earths gravity

and has some atmosphere maybe 5 %

    there is mining going ???

  • Uploaded in Mexico.

  • the moon is rotating much slower speed than the earth due to the distance within the earth's attractive ring. Its not really moving thought. And i swear i didnt watch the vid further than errmm... 1/8........... anyway thats why we see the same face of the moon, over and over again. I think 1 moonday is equal to about 15-20 days so that would mean the moon is rotating between 20 & 30 times slower than the earth !!!

  • I did read your words above and Im understanding it to be just another one of these coincidences that we see the same part of the moon all the time and it also rotates but the speed perfectly works out so that it matches up perfectly? Its not even off just a little bit that we might see a different part of the moon say every few hundred years or so? Not even by inches? What are the numbers and the calcs?

  • What a coincidence. Just as odd that the size difference of the moon to sun works with the same number in distance TO the sun makes it possible to see the corona perfectly during an eclipse. (the relative size difference and then the relative distance are equal, you can look up the exact numbers) Just another perfect coincidence for us here on earth.

  • @tautogg dude in space EVERYTHING is super-giga-accurate and complex theres no coincidence, its like that and its not the only thing

  • wtf, why is it so fast?

  • thanks!!

  • u have to hold the seeker and then go

  • i CAN'T

  • i CAN EVEN READ WHAT THEY ARE SAYING!!! IT'S GOING TO FAST!!

  • I will say it simply, the moon rotates and twists in comparison to every object in our univers, apart form US.

As the science guy below says, there is an 18% wobble, but NO ONE on this earth EVER sees the dark side.

If we put a space station in space, we ned THRUSTERS to PREVENT it form rotating.

Why doesnt the moon need thrusters ? Why has it never started rorating, even when hit by MASSIVE asteroids ? (check the CRATERS).

NOTHIGN, it seems can make the moon rotate, in comparison with earth

  • Both rotate. Moon used to be much closer to the Earth and were not synchronized like today. There is no dark side of the moon, all sides get light equally. It's not made of green cheese. Although, Wallace and Gromit would beg to differ.

  • cont'd.... and if you are religious, it would also mean that EVERY word in the bible could be absolutely TRUE.

If a past civilisation ruled us from the moon, or even created us, then suffered a rebellion, and the survivors of both sides made thier way to earth, they could easily be battling it out right now.

Or, it could just be a miracle that the ONLY moon on ANY planet we know of that doesnt rotate, is OURS.

The ONLY object which NEVER rotates compared to its host planet, star or ANYTHING!

  • The moon's rotation around itself is about 29 days, the moon's orbit around the earth is about 27days. The moon is NOT stationary!

  • Erm, didnt she just say, we NEVER see the same side ?

All i am saying is, it never rotates compared to the earth.

NOW, of course it rotates compared to SOMETHING else. EVEYTHIGN is moving, so even if it stood still, it would be rotating relative ot other objects.

all i am saying is, that this is the ONLY object we know of (and we know quite far now), that NEVER takes its eye off the earth.

If you dont think thats intersting, ask yourelf WHY ?

Ar eyou taught NOT ot be curious ?

  • We can see 18% of the other side of the moon during it's rotation. What makes you think the moon is a 'control center?'. The are no such evidence to suggest such conclusion. The burden of proof lies within the claim.

  • Yeah, but the moon rotates only in respect to it's rotation around the earth. Meaning that if it's rotates only that much, relative to the earth it does not rotate but relative to the solar system, it does rotate. It is a little puzzling at first, and probably at second. And, no the moon did not stop rotating, it was always rotating.

  • More to the point. By her own words, wherever you are on the moon, your view of Earth will remain the SAME.

If anyone did want to use the moon as a control centre, it would be a lucky coincidence that this should happen - VEEEERY lucky.

Also, imagine 100 yrs ago, someone telling you that you would be walking around with a mobile, or driving a car, or a plane.

    OPEN your mind !

If you have ANY suspicion taht aliens even MAY exist, then you have an obligation to take my comment seriously !

  • And thats because its a giant space ship.

It is the ONLY object ANYWHERE that does NOT rotate, in comparison with the orbit of its neighboring planet, and the odds of it having an EXACT orbit liek that must be bazillions to one !!!!

It IS a spaceship, or is at least manufactured, and stabilised !!!!

  • I'd like some of what you're smoking.

  • I must admit, the more i smoke this stuff, the more sure i am.

  • Mars 2 moons share the same type of synchronized rotation as Earths moon.

  • DOH ! I dint know that.

I think you may have crossed wires though. Do you mean that mars only ever sees one side of these moons ? they NEVER rotate fully, so the moons always have a "dark side" ?

As far as im aware, our moon is th eonly object of ANY kind which did this. Im no scientist, i just read it somewhere and became intersted.

If you moved 2 coins areound eachohter, in an elyptical orbit, you will see its VERY difficult to kepe them this way, so it just seems strange.

    cheers.

  • Phobos & Deimos are in a synchronous rotation with mars, meaning that Martians only see one side of the the moons like we only see one side of our moon.

  • wicked, thanks very much.

in that case, there are 3 death stars in our galaxy !!!

  • All the moons have some kind of synchronized rotation. They are not all 1:1 however. The sync is a result of tidal forces over a long period of time

  • i STAND BY EVERY WORD I HAVE SAID.

They have now announced that the moon is covered in LOTS of water. Also, you may be able to BREATH on the moon.

Remeber, they have been telling you for CENTURIES that it is dry and baron.

The only reason they are opening up, is because BILL COOPER told us that you coudl walk and breath on the moon, and its all over you tube.

I woudlnt believe ANYTHING they tell me on TV any more.

EXPLODE on the moon, due to the huge vacuum - now we can BREATH on it !

  • @mikeybrumbrum You with dark side the hidden side? Since the dark side is always pointed away from the sun and on new Moon happens to face earth completely.
