hey it could be handy say you need to go to the bathroom lat eat night and what do you usually do in a ohtel room get up stimble around finally get your bearings straight and get walking and then WHAM theres the end of the bed right on your little toe with the switch it gives you light so you can see. just a thought though
haha i just noticed down below that you got all the SPICA mad at you now!! HAHA tell them to climb the fence back home & stay there:) joke=why dont mexicans have an olympic team? =all the mexicans that can run jump & swim are already here!!!! HAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH FUKKIN WETBACK SPICS!! go sell chiclets in the streets!!!! electrical is for WHITES your all too stupid + you cant fll out a job app in SPRAY PAINT!!!!!
dude thee Wetbacks what did you expect! its no wonder why mexico is the poorest most worthless piece of crap in the world! joke= why do birds fly over mexico upside down? = because theres nothing worth shitting on!!
i think its like a night light. so that if you are in bed and need just a little light to see something or maybe even walk to the bathroom you don't have to turn on the bright ass lamp right next to the bed.
I lived in a house in Mexico. The whole damned house was wired in the same colored wire. Some fool just went out and bought one spool of black wire and "got 'er done"!
You are Chief Investigator for Project RECNEK... loverly.
The golden colored cable is not electrically connected to the terminals of that wallswitch, guy... somebody merely screwed on the wallswitch cover plate over that golden colored cable that has nothing to do with the bathroom light. The installer should have moved cable away from cover. But I enjoy how you've taken the time to show the world how easy it is to make foreign things seem dangerous and stupid.
BTW it is not cool to trash the reputation of mexican electricians, or the reputation of any other country's tradespeople. If you are a tradesman contractor, you should be ashamed of yourself for doing this, if in fact you went out of your way to film a lie on YourTube. Tradesman's Code Of Ethics there.
Whatsamatter... did you lose your yob to a mexican electrician, and so you are on vacation down in some whitey sector of a snowbird mexican town, and decided to create this lie for the bigots?
Trouble was there were several things "wrong" with the installation, not the least of which is that a two wire zip cord was apparently feeding the light above the bed and in the bathroom, No ground wire. Bad thing is people do this type of thing every day. People need to leave electrical installations to someone qualified or get the training necessary so they don't kill someone with their mistakes.
Too bad he didnt mention if there was a second switch in the bathroom haha would of proved your point a little better. Also i didnt see anything wrong there. That overhead light was a plug in fixture there for has nothing to do with a electrical code in any country because most people dont hire an electrician to plug something in.
Okay...Yes you are right, it is a three way coming from the corresponding three way switch installed in the washroom. But am I the only one that is able to identify that the lamp cord is just running behind the switch plate, so it is tight to the wall. It has nothing to do with the switch feed! I hope this person who sent the video is not an electrician, I would hate to have him troubleshoot something for me!
this is not a three way switch because when this switch is on, you cant turn the bathroom light off with the switch in the bathroom. the switches are wired parallel and only one switch will control the light at a time. the cord that goes into the wall and then back out to the lamp does feed the switch because when I unplugged the lamp cord the switch stopped working. I should've showed more details, but I was recording on a cell phone that could only do a few min. of video.
The code exists, its the "NOM 001 SEDE 2005" the problem is that the inpections only are mede in the big construccion sites, the residential or small busnies are not check in the small details, only de substasions and the primari panel bords are check.

Yeah what's funny is that parts of Mexico have adopted NFPA 70 which is the standard electrical code here in the US and Canada.

Next question why does the wall mount Light fixture have a cord going to a receptical?
northerbrewer 3 years ago
Does Mexico even HAVE an electrical code? Probably very simple-
"Wire shall be used. Insulation to cover such wire shall be used if affordable."
"Overcurrent devices such as fuses shall be protected with a properly-sized coin."
And so on...

Properly-sized coin :P Priceless...
Well, what's sad, it's that coins, pieces of large diameter wire, nails, screwdrivers, etc... are actually used as fuses!
I remember that someone saw nail glowing in dark, because of all that current. Luckily, the place didn't catch fire.
