I bought my one in January 2000 and laid it up in March 2001 and finally sold it in December 2001. I loved it and it never gave me trouble and always did at least 60mpg. My only gripe were tyres were expensive and so were other service items such as chain and sprockets etc. But in my opinion, the best 250cc bikes available based on cost, useability, performance, reliability etc. I sold it and replaced it with a Yamaha Townmate T80 in order to save money.
I used to own one of these for nearly 2 years. I loved it. Never gave me any problems. The only pitty was the exhaust was of bad quality and it fell apart. Much better than the CBR 250 when you consider the servicing difficulties with them. The ZZR 250 was very fast too.
its not that its slow (it is a bit) but to get anything out of it u have to ring its neck and it couners well so u can carry a bit of speed in the courners
Hello there, nice ride. I own exactly the same bike mine is a 1993 model. I have not taken it past 130km. I don't know if it can go any more. But I doubt it will do 170km. If that is your bike in the film, it is in very clean condition. I am a learner rider and I would recommend this bike to all, I am 6ft 4 195cm's and it's the most comfortable bike out there for a 250cc.
mad video lol

ZZR250 looks like rides like most 400.. Enough power & Great Fuel Consumption for for daily driving.. I own a GPZ400R so I know how Kawis perform..

It's a nice bike and all but it's certainly not 'bad-ass' if that's what you think your ZZR is...

God thats a nice bike :)
i want one for when i get my learners
should i get a 250? or save for a 600 or something better? i know you need a 250 for learner but im thinking long term

If you are rather economically in the gas-consumption, I recommend a ZZR 250.
Topspeed is 174 km per hour. Fast enough, in order to collect tickets! ;-)
In the entire, the ZZR is 250 thriftier than her big sisters.
