Love the riff! Glass Tiger was so much more than "Don't Forget Me". Listen to the power and the mesage of "Thin Red Line". That will tell you right there that they weren't just about singing to their female fans! Any band that shows the respect to the fallen veterans has my respect! Well done!
The next generation, by definition, always rebels against their parents and intentionally are into music that is different and that the parents hate.
But now with 2 generations behind us (almost?), will today's children feel the need to rebel against the grand-parents too? Is there hope for happy music to make a come back?
It's nothing but either angry or whiny or I'm-so-hurt bullshit after bullshit after bullshit the last few decades !
badmarthafocker...Haha, I missed the 80s era (I was just a baby) but i love the 80s music to death. And i know we dont have the kind of fun our parents did when they were young, it's sad the way things have gone...good mainstream music and good ol' fashion fun has died. (you need to go to a small town for a good house party and cars are too small to screw in nowadays....lol)
This is clearly the last of big hair. Without ( despite the lack of ) the air time. GT is an awesome band. give it another 10 or 20 years to make it big ( this song) some remake band will make it bigger and better. look at Gwen Steffani. ETC...
hey GT still rocks for sure!! ya know this opening riff was so cool..still remember the 1st time I heard it!! way underrated guitar player.....no any on else who can make it sound like bagpipes....check out "Te Thin Red Line"
@DunedinP Just between us, I have devised a machine that will allow us to travel back to the 80's. It's been disguised as a Hot tub. I shall call it... a Hot Tub Time Machine!
I saw an episoe of "Where You At Baby?" last night, and even though I NEVER watch that show, last night it was about Glass Tiger, and I swooned probably more than I should have.
Great Canadian talent....we lived in the best musical era...wtf do they have, milley cyrus and the jonas bros....lol...do they even have house parties or screw in cars anymore...lol
Interesting you say that because Bryan Adam's '91 album was produced by the same guy who worked with Def Leppard.
With Bryan producing one of their albums, it's interesting to see how both Bryan and Glass Tiger got bit by the Def Leppard bug.
But, damn, that opening riff was really hard. It almost reminds me of Dimebag Darrell from Pantera (no joke, I'm being for real). Seriously, what an edgy riff. It's a shame they didn't explore the route of making dark music with non-romantic lyrics.
Damn, Alan is sexy as hell here (Well, he always has been sexy) but I love the hair style) but I do miss the '80's hair. Wish he'd do a video with his shirt off. Yummy!!!
I saw Glass Tiger last month in Peterborough and they were awesome. They still sound great and Alan Frew still sounds the same. They put on an amazing show and made a lot of new fans that night.

@a1mint It regards fraud, not music. Corrupt money for marketing crap products. It's not something you listen to, it's a scam tool.

It never had any air time in the people's republic of Madison Wisconsin.

The thing that's always killed me is that Alan sings with no accent, but when the talks, it's really thick.
Great song, great band.

They change the look from a "Pop Duran Duran" to a "more soft rock".
The song is great, but sounds more like Deff Leppard or something like that
