  • It may be too late to comment on this, but as far as your vinyl top, the best thing to use is some spray called "Black Magic". It is a clear oil and best for the vinyl top. I used it on my 87 Chrysler New Yorker. Kept the moisture in from the Texas sun.

  • That's a beauty!

  • @JetBlackHorror Thanks man!

  • I love these cars I'm hoping I can find a really nice one one day. Clean ride!

  • I have a 89 ls brougham that is almost like your. same color but with a red interior. last year a deer smash up the passenger side so don't feel bad man shit happens i guess.

  • You are one ignorant person, why would you bother to even comment, or better yet, watch this video?

  • That is one ugly car.Why would you bother to make a video about a clunker?

  • when the chance comes to you to just ride it you will know why people prefer it

  • you my friend have a beautiful car there, a true masterpiece. you have no idea what i would do to be able to get my hands on one as nice as that. they are becoming harder and harder to come by. especially in original condition. so many of them have been completely ruined by ass ugly orange, green, blue, ect . . paint jobs, and ridiculous rims and hydrolics. . . .you have one of chevys finest cars, so please please keep her clean and original. best regards. .

  • keep up the good work!!!!

  • idk why some people think cause the paint and interior is not redone, ur not doing anything to it, it doesnt make any sense to do tha interior and paint if tha car is not running right or sounds like shit and giving problems, thats why u start under tha hood first then move on to tha inside and out, but she's getting there mane keep up tha good work bruh!! Im looking for one myself an 87 to 90 year hopefully i can find one soon!!.

  • My 1985 has the chrome ventshades. My Dad got them from J.C Whitney just like you. Luckily my top is perfect. I got new weatherstriping on the front doors. I love the tint job. Wisconsin wont let you do it very dark so I have put that off. My headliner is good yet. I need to get a new stereo for mine. Original is failing worse and worse all the time. I also have a 1981 Bonneville that isnt quite as perfect but still very good. Got to keep these alive.

  • Check out my 88 and 95 parkavenues

  • Either way you look at it this is a nice ass caprice I'd like to buy it,but I've been drivin parkavenues all my life, hell I had 4. What's in it 305 or 350

  • Seems like in the 2 years ive seen you with this car you have only tinted the windows and put vent shades up. It cant be that expensive to have a upoulstry shop reglue the fabric to the headliner. As far as body, you can sand the rust down till its not there anymore and put alittle white rustoleum on to prevent it from rusting further. It will look decent until you can afford to paint the car.

  • @drfelgood5 Trust me big guy. I've done a lot more than tint the windows and put vent shades. You don't gotta go provin anything either I know everything I've done to it and put into to it. I've invested well over 2,000 into it since I've owned it. Not much to you probably but too me it is. Mostly engine work. It's why it has NEVER given me problems since the day I bought it!

  • I was just wondering if you could put in a new seatbelt reminder which would be the pause music from Battletoads?

  • @Jac2Mac what in the world are you talkin about?

  • @88BroughamLS Since the chime in your caprice doesn't work anymore, it would be really cool to replace it with the pause music from the NES game Battletoads and have the fasten belts light blink to the pause music from Battletoads.

  • @Jac2Mac Nah I'm OK with that. The chime does work it didn't come on because the wire in the seat belt buckle came loose and I barely got around to fixing it! It works now with a new GM style chime in it. Just wait for the next update.

  • fixin that rust spot on the rouch is not to hard at all its pretty easy u just need some basic tools ie grinder filler, bondo, hardener and some paint oh adn a sander

  • great looking car man glad you still have her, love to see people respecting and keeping the classic 80s American cars alive!

  • @civicaccordhonda Thanks man! She gets driven everyday like it was back in the 80s. Still drives like 1988 too.

  • love it, how will you fix the doors on the right side?

  • @goochon Sorry bout the late response!! Well what I plan to do is either get the dents pulled out and bondo them(not my first choice) or get new door skins and slap those on there when I'm ready to repaint the car! And when I repaint it, I plan on replacing the top at the same time!!

  • Shame about the surface rust im getting some rust forming cause i work right on the ocean and all the salt blowing around. I put the front header panel like yours on mine now too so now i got the front and rear tail lights like yours, i like those better then the 83 model ones i had.

  • still excellent

  • If you pull the headliner out the car yourself, buy the glue, & materal then $50 but if you want us to pull it out the car & reinstall it $200

  • Good to see ya still got the Box & still doing updates Im not sure where you live in AZ but if you near PHX I can fix the headliner 4 you 4 the lolo

  • @100SpokeRiderz How much?

  • I like Your Vent shades!! I might get some. -BOGAR!

  • Indeed there is nothing quite like driving one of those old "land yacht" style caprices from the late 80s like urs; they just don't make them like that anymore cause stuff from the 80s was built with QUALITY!!!!! in mind! :)

  • @matts6887 You can say that again!!

  • nice interior color what sucks is that if you get a stain in there it aint comin off. my 85 crown vic has a dark blue interior, perfect for hiding stains lol.

  • @chingongil which stain?

  • @88BroughamLS no IF you get a stain. i hear white interior absorbs liquids and leaves a permanent stain.

  • @chingongil Oh yeah bro, I know exactly what you're talkin bout!

  • @88BroughamLS good luck keepin that clean when there's kids around. thas why i like my dark blue interior on my crown vic. hides a stain just like u can hide a kia rio in the trunk. lol

  • coooo keep me updated i love this car

  • @taecamperva Fo sho man thanks!

  • dude, your car is falling apart!

  • @Opinionatedguy1989 what falling apart?

  • i'm sure you'll fix her to showroom condition. i have faith in you.

  • What mpg's do you get?

  • @MooseBaker 16 City/ 27 fwy

  • That right side makes me wanna pout a little, but she still looks like a camp!!

  • @JakeDaSnakeFilms I love her to death no matter what!

  • Nice update vid man. Sorry to see u have rust spots. I have some on my back window area and under my license plate. Rust loves older cars. I've also been meaning to put up updates on my caprice but cant find the time. I may do it sometime this week. Later man.

  • @Beanoman90

thats cause older cars were all metel

not plastic shit on the road today

only reason new cars weigh as much as old ones is cause of all the safety equipment lol

  • As always nice video!!!.. Car looks nice and clean and about those rust spots man my car has had them as well good thing is that they don't really grow much. Hey did your fuel gauge break or did you add an extra gas tank?. Take care man and also that's a nice head unit what I really like about Pioneer's is that you can add a cable for the ipod and it's easier to control it from your head unit, I have one in my Mountaineer.

  • Those introduction clips look So Familiar!! It is obvious in the video by looking at the car that you really take the time to be detailed with it. I can sure appreciate that. And i know what to do with your rust problem i will tell you later. And your car looks 2 years old in that ending picture not 22 years. And you must have had an awesome day when the last picture of you was taken and the lighting was perfect very RETRO feeling!! Talk to you later paL, -BOGAR!

  • @j45007 Wats up Bogar! Yeah the car looks about 2 years old. I like the color and the interior.
