  • Althought this is really good, the tapping technique is different fromt he UK than in the USA?

    He never did the old above the eye routine, and he says to hum a tune, count to five, hum a tune again.

    Bit confused... maybe its not about pressure points. Maybe its just about believing in something by doing things that clear the mind.

  • We know about Richard Bandler and John Grinder and the "Amazing" James Randi. Paul was on the Howard Stern show a few years back when he was junst a young up-and-coming sprout in the UK (long before Derren Brown.)

  • Ahh that went wierd :) anyway, im 13, slim, but want to lose weight. I know im probably too young, dangerous blah blah, but thats the whole reason this one sounds so good! its not dieting or anything! its all healthy! and so last night i read the book, and listened to the hynotising - CD thing, and i can honestly say i now feel REPULSED by chocolate, and not hungry! OMG! i was wondering...how long does it take until you notice a difference? and, does it help to listen to the CD every night? x

  • Hi guys I started this way of life but not the same as shown in this vid all from the book in Jan 08. I have had some slipp ups but its so easy to get straight back on it I have lost 32pounds and its been so easy I walk about an hour a day and I had 2 months in spain where I drank and ate lots this a great way of life and i dont seem to miss out on anything.

  • This is much like NLP, pain and plesure and some hypnsis. Still is good aplication, helping people to reduce body fat and weight.

  • yeah i did it for about 3 weeks and i lost like 10 lbs, then i went on a trip to spain where they fed us like crazy, when i came back i had lost another 3! i couldn't believe it but this really does change your body and your mindset!

  • McKenna has refined this message to a great art form.

    I recommend his "I Can Make You Thin" book in my medical counselling practice. Not as good as he is live, so thank goodness I can post videos like this on my blog for my readers!

  • what am i doing wrong i eat fresh natural foods only when im hungry and stop when i even get a hint i am full i walk for miles every day and work out but i am just bulking up. i have so much muscle it is making me cry,it makes me look Fat!can any1 help please?

  • If u excersize more with stuff like lifting weights, ur going to, ofcourse, build more muscle, if u do excersizes like aroebics, walking and running, then ur probably going to burn more fat w/o gaining so much muscle.

  • Have you ever thought that the problem might just be your perception of yourself? Body dismorphia afects more people then any other condition, hell there are plenty of things i would change about myself. If you know you eat well and excersise and are healthy then that is a place where you are already rich. Maybe you need to reframe your image next time you look in the mirror?

  • Keep to the system.

    "Fresh natural foods" may mean you are breaking rule 2 Eat what you want (NOT what you think you should.)

    Are you eating consciously eg quarter the speed and putting down your knife and fork (or sandwich on the plate)?

    Are you checking hunger vs thirst by having a drink of water first?

    Exercise is not an issue, except that it seems to have distracted you from more important areas to focus on like those above.

  • As a lifelong binger the biggest thing I've taken from his new show is to EAT WHEN YOU'RE HUNGRY and to EAT WHAT YOU WANT, and that eating what you WANT does not mean eating strictly what your pallate wants but what your heart, muscles and intestines want as well!

    Always eat. And always eat what you (all of you) want!

  • Obese people confuse me. They complain about being overweight, yet continue to eat and do little exercise.

    Just stop eating all the junk, cook proper food in a healthy way and only eat what nature intended.

    Go for a walk for 30 minutes everyday and watch the weight fall off. Easy :)

    Interesting video anyway. Nice to know Paul is still around. I used to watch him on TV in the 90's

  • Don't be confused by "obese" people. As someone who's a bit "obese" myself, it's more emotional than just shovelling shit down your throat. We're all trying to work on it so please do try and encourage us rather than discourage us. Thanks!

    i feel more alive and more energy

    u just have to kick your ass out the door and get moving once your moving and walking your metablism will start going

    and u will start feeling great :)

  • I would never Want to use this technique ... when you can use an other and still "like" chocolate! You can always take away the want , the need. not the enjoyment but the emotional unneeded consumption of chocolate. That way the occasional Chocolate can still be enjoyed

  • It's an easy thing to do, but people rely on diets to help make them lose the pounds. When really they can do it themselves. This man is finally telling people that they can stay healthy, by eating until you feel you get full.

  • The majority of problems we have are in our minds and we are all basically a huge electrical network so Paul's way WILL work (in most cases). Paul has blended ancient teachings from all over the World (e.g. tapping for Chakra/meridian cleansing) with modern ideas and he's done it very well. I have to say,it's great to see him use these gifts to help rather than just using them for entertainment. He does deserve an O.B.E. Others get it for doing nothing!

  • Until I learned Paul's method, nothing else had EVER worked. I lost and gained the same 40 pounds over and over for years. I've now lost 6 pounds in two weeks. (Painlessly!) I eat off a smaller plate than my BF, and still pass on leftovers to him. Luckily, I live in a neighborhood where I can walk safely, and do 2 1/2 miles every other day. Feels great! I'm not big on hypnosis, but the tapping works for me. I don't remember when I felt this good, and I've only just begun. Thanks, Paul!

  • his book and cd helped me when everthing else failed.i use the cd every time i feel a bit down it makes me feel better

  • I never feel like eating when i watch this show. it's weird. maybe i should put a big ol' picture of Paul on my wall.

  • Not everyone is a good candidate for hypnosis. For some, like myself, it just doesn't work. (maybe some folk are just too tense?) The people present here were no doubt tested before they went on. However, the EFT tapping method shown by Paul WILL work on anyone and you don't even have to believe in it at all.

  • Actually, everyone is capable of being hypnotised. The only thing that can cause you not to be hypnotised is FEAR. Sure the audience was probably tested, but they would given a pre-hypnosis talk and then tested for suggestability. Being tense has nothing to do with it, you can be hypnotised without any relaxation whatsoever, you just have to take the suggestions in and beleive they will work.

  • ngullage; That sounded abit contradictory. Surely if you ARE fearful then you are NOT a good candidate. If you are tense then you can't relax which means one wouldn't be able to accept the suggestions because your fear is blocking the way. You have to reach alpha- trance state to be hypnotised. It can't be done if you don't relax. Paul says that you DON'T have to believe that his ideas work.(you say you do have to).

  • Gary Craig's tapping technique (originally called EFT. Emotional Freedom Technique) is quite remarkable. His films are on youtube. McKenna is great, very positive although this prog is done like those cheesy "Audience With..." shows.

  • Not actually Gary Craig's idea. It was originally formulated by Dr. Roger Callahan who taught Gary Craig.

  • I watched his show on sunday as well and followed his four golden rules. I found that I am eating foods that are much better for me and am getting fuller easier by eating slowly. I am satisfied and still have food left over on my plate.  I have even started putting less food on my plate so that it doesn't go to waste and eat it the following day. This is a new way of thinking, I am learning how to retrain my thinking of eating properly. Thanks Paul...I am looking forward to your next show.

  • I'd be eating that chocolate so fast, hair and all! Just brusah it off! LOL Mom's can tune these "gross" things out. Associating gross things w/food. Hense change a poopy diaper with one hand while eating lunch with the other so making a food item seem gross doesn't work for some.

  • i watched it sunday also!! it DOES WORK..i left food on my plate for the first time in for ever...and i actually ate less because i allowed myself to eat whatever i wanted wen i felt like it and stopped wen i knew i was satisfied

  • I watched the first TV show on Sunday. I comitted the four golden rules to memory and tried it first thing Monday morning. I was actually shocked that it worked! I have never left food on my plate. I became satisfied halfway though my breakfast and pushed the food away. This really worked for me. Now, if I can continue this method each meal and each day it will be great. I can't wait for his next show. It is a series of six.

  • I dunno I tried the self cognitive therapy but You have to keep up with it so just to not get bored with it requires will power. All us fat people are just doomed unless we fully commit to diet exercise and life style change.

  • I'm going to watch this show on Sunday - but it looks like absolute bullshit to me. How some guy on the TV can claim to make me thin, while requiring no will power is beyond me.

  • oh it works and the results are amazing!!!!

    the thing i enjoyed the most about this weight loss system was that i actually love food now because i dont fear it and also i eat when hungry so it tastes way better

    im never bloated anymore either

    also is it just me or did other people actually start eating healthly foods as a side effect to this?

    i used to eat junk but now when i really get hungry only a nice balanced meal hitts the spot and im almost in awe of how good it feels when eating it lol

  • yes i never used to think about what i ate but after using the paul method i just love natural foods not really interested in tinned or frozen any more and im mad for lentils lol

  • is he really that great? I've tried virtually everything to lose weight since I was 8.. since I heard that his show is premiering march 7 on TLC I thought I'd give it a shot.. how long does it take to see any results? does it actually work?

  • His last weight loss event is on 29 March this year. Why don't you try it? I went and it worked for me!

  • After mentally bashing myself for the last few days again about my weight, I have woken up this morning feeling calm and more postive. I have listened to Pauls cd about weight loss twice. It is great to feel happy this morning. The book is called 'I Can Make You Thin"

  • this man is amazing as soon as i heard about him i thought wtf hes lying but i went on holiday and i thought i wud giv it a go and i went 2 an all inclusive, i literally had fried breakfast evryday but following this i woz 14 stone 12 pounds when i came bak i weighted 14 stone 5 pound what a man

  • It's really fun to watch NLP practitioners and hypnotists do their stuff after you yourself have studied the subject a lot. I can see Paul working the crowd right from the start with use of NLP strategies such as affirmation and passive voice. Powers used for good rather than evil though :)
