Holy shit, the kid is blues soul throug and through, love watching B.B justen enjoying himself with a piece of blues future, Love the music people, stop writing all kind of senseless trash. This pure joy of the blues.
I just came across Quinn while searching Buddy Guy videos and am the same as GymFloozie (but obviously not speechless). Thoroughly enjoying and admiring his style and talent and makes me love Buddy Guy even more for "mentoring" him. But mostly I'm commenting to push the trash talk down further on the page so it doesn't distract or take away from something lovely and good. Hat's off to Qunn, Mr. K and Mr. G! And a hearty thanks for the post!
this kid does not have soul and either does buddy guy. Buddy Guy appeals to whites because they think he's the "real deal" or something. blues is the easiest style to play on guitar. prodigies play classical, not "twist and shout" on that queer Ellen's show. this kid looks like a jackass strutting around with that guitar and stupid hat. Hey, I know a midget that can play "mary had a little lamb" on the flutophone, I guess that makes him a "prodigy" too.
@CoreyCooper75 Wow, now we see more into the soul of Corey Cooper....homophobic too....your character flaws BECOME more obvious as you express your opinions....POST SOME VIDEO OF YOURSELF so we can see how good you are....oh that's right you are too busy with Don Henley...If he only knew what a moron you are he would kick you out of the imaginary session you are doing with him...keep talking so we can ridicule you some more....it's fun.
@rokrol9 First, I don't know what inspired you to talk about homosexuality, please, enlighten me. My brother is gay and your moronic statement couldn't be any further from the truth. Second, I don't post videos because I'm not in videos, I'm on Grammy-winning albums. Third, YOU opened your mouth about "race card." I'm questioning the YouTube claims that an affluent 14 year old knows anything about the plight of black people, or could in anyway be the embodiment of a black man's soul.
@CoreyCooper75 I think "Queer" is a derogatory term for gays last time I checked. You said your brother is gay...do you call him your queer brother? Calling a kid names and pretending to know what "soul" means is kind of ridiculous from a 36 year old man. Its all R and B...speed it up its rock and roll...slow it down and its blues... You dont' have to have been a slave to play blues you dope. Ask clapton when you are with him next time in the studio. By the way Don Henley was a hippie.
@CoreyCooper75 Just looked up Bonnie Raitt's Nick of Time...did you change your name because you are not listed....let me check the Branford record...will get back to you.
@rokrol9 oh wow idiot. Richard Starkey wasn't on "A Hard Day's Night" and Robert Zimmerman wasn't on "Highway 61 Revisited." Astounding research. Your sick mind is "derogatory." I don't know what part of the world you live in or what resource you're checking but you're out of line. Don Henley was a hippie, yes. What he was and is not is a scum. And Eric can't play the blues either. Copycat. Ciao to you too.
@CoreyCooper75 I DON'T SAY THIS VERY OFTEN ON YOUTUBE IF EVER.... BUT YOU ARE A PIECE OF SHIT LOSER... WITH NOTHING ELSE BETTER TO DO THAN BE A FUCKING LOSER. HE'S A KID PLAYING WITH TWO GREATS.... YOU KNOW NOTHING OF MUSIC.
this kid is the real deal, the blues is not something you can play mechanically,, you have to feel it, and young Quinn has it in his soul. what a tremendous honor for him to play, as an equal, with these legends
Quinn Sullivan.... he just phenomenal here on stage with these two legends. BB & Buddy seem to be acknowledging passing the torch to him as they recognize his amazing talent and that he's going to become the future of the blues, if he so chooses. I'm just blown away by his sound, fluidity and ease... Wow, Quinn is some amazing talent.... Keep on truckin' Quinn... you convey the Blues like no other.
UnFreakinBelievable.... Quinn "The Kid" Sullivan will easily become the best blues guitarist ever... The two legends he's on stage know this is true. Who would ever believe a kid this young with Irish blood could play the Blues like that... he's simply Phenomenal .
Is this what Bonamassa was like when he was little? I mean, there's a big difference between reading about some guy who was a prodigy and jammed with B.B. King and Buddy Guy and whoever else when they were young, and then actually seeing it happen. Damn, this kid has got the right stuff to play the blues.
As much as he obviously loved jammin' with these legends, he won't come close to appreciating it as much now as he will 20 years from now. What a gift from above!
I hate the way all the "reporters" ask him "uh yur like only 8 or 10 or 11 and you know you need to have life experience to play the blues, you haven't lived enough, don't you think" namely an -ex- football player "a joke by the way, he is" THE BLUES is in your blood , soul, spirit, and your bones. your either born with it or you acquire it with life lessons. so the next reporter doing his or her research for your interview, please ask age appropriate questions. remember, hes a musician and kid
I've been watching Quinn videos here for the last half hour. I've seen a ton of "prodigy" kid guitar players on youtube. This is the only one that has left me absolutely speechless. He's the real deal - and B.B. and Buddy know it.
@GymFloozie Totally agree man. This kid has blues flowing in his veins. I really like the sound of his guitar. I hope he does not get lost and keeps playing this way.
@GymFloozie RIGHT! as a general rule these "blues prodigies" leave me wanting something. they got the Technique or you know that when they grow up they're going to be great, know what i mean?! Quinn! THIS kid would be a good argument for incarnation! got more SOUL than most folks 5 times his age! every note MEANS something! he's not just up there wacking off, playing all the right notes! he's got IT! we're looking at the next Joe Bonamassa or Derek Trucks, no doubt about it! ROCK ON! little man!
Again I say, The kid is amazing. I would love to hear that kid with a Gibson like BB has. I just love the Blues coming from a Gib. Keep the vids coming!
