Rob- Have truly enjoyed your SK series ! You're a great speaker and indeed an excellent keyboardist, these are some of the better YT demonstrations I've seen. I'm a recent CS70M owner which shares many internal similarities to your instrument. Have recently completed rigorous overhaul and was compelled to say that from what I've learnt, you need to be certain to thoroughly lubricate these Yam slider controls. They're definitely not as robust as an indestructible mechanical Hammond drawbar.
Yes, the Organ section rules! I run the Direct Organ output of my SK-30 into a Leslie 147.
Please go to my Youtube Channel (1980scoverband) and watch the video "Jumping jack Flash" and you will hear the SK-30 Organ sound in a live-band. The SK-30 cuts through all the Marshall amp guitars with no problem.
@1980sCoverband I did check it out thanks! Man, that sounded really rich in that recording... I'm hoping I can shock some folks in future gigs with my combo... I've had one or the other out, but together will be sweet. I have a Leslie 710 and 760. The 710 doesn't leave the house for obvious dingy/denty reasons.
