Hi. Nice picking. I also have a D2H. not sure what G is for - German Spruce top? Mine is just standard. These guitars have great separation and projection. They are an absolute treasure.
@mmatth2194 I have changed my mind about the Cleartones. I still think they sound better, but they seem to break more often. I have gone years without breaking strings and had a rash of broken ones with Cleartones. At 14 dollars a set you'd think they would use better steel.
Beautiful tone Bro! I played a Winfield yesterday at First Quality Music in Louisville, and will not rest until I own one. I've never played a better mahogany flat top. You are a good musician. God Bless!
Haha, that would be cool Mr. Rockefeller ... Congratulation to NR. 2! I play om my and it opens more and more: how wonderful it is to play a guitar like this ... :=))
Yes ma'am. Collings number two. I love them both. What a blessing this wooden boxes are! You simply must come to Texas one day. I will take you to the factory, you can meet Bill Collings himself. I have twice, and see how that lil wooden treasure of yours was built!
well you can talk to Kevin at Hill Country Guitars, who treated me really well. It was around 3600 new. You can find used ones for less of course. Does your wife cook? LoL....Good luck on your hunt!
The sounds coming out of this guitar amaze me. The harmonics, the layers, the complexity. I CANNOT BELIEVE that you sold this guitar.

What do you like about Cleartones? Great sounding guitar.

I like cleartones because they sound a little clearer to my ear than elixirs and do not feel as "sticky". They don't seem to last as long though

dare I ask how much you paid for your collings guitars? And will I have to sell my wife into slavery to get one?
