I have fond memories of getting this tune as a Christmas present on a cassette tape called "hits for kids" The rest of the tape was mostly Beatles covers and the like but this tune stood out at the time.
I went on to be inspired to learn to play guitar and got into making electronic dance music later on. Funny how you're earliest influences reassert themselves. I can't make clear enough how obsessed with this tune I was back then. I used to listen to it then rewind the tape It was SO different.
