@hardvvood Definitely not. The StorCenter device is yours, set up on your private network, and doesn't have any contact with Iomega whatsoever. The only external access would be set up by you, and that would be, for example, if you set up a cloud backup like Mozy. Even then, security is completely under your control.
@ayala314 That is correct. You attach the StorCenter device to your network, then it's possible for everyone on the network to upload/download - even remotely!
regreted to buy this piece of trash. When I call iOmega support... it's 1 of the worst. Now my ix2 is just a piece of metal junk sitting there flashing blue light. Whoever thinking about buying this piece of shiit... please think twice.
@contrau617 I'm very sorry you had a bad experience with technical support. If you can tell me what is wrong with the device, I can try to help troubleshoot here or send you to the proper resource to get this resolved...
@iomegachannel : What happened was everything was running fine ...then i need to power it off to move it to another location. Now when I plug the power cord back in... it's not coming up and the blue light in the front keeps on blinking non-stop. I have about 1.5 TB of data on this device and I don't want to lose all that. If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
@contrau617 Wow – that is strange. Please give our Tech Support team a call so they can help you get this resolved. I'm going to private message you with some details...
@neverdairy I am sure sure what resolution was offered to @contrau617 for this issue, but I am sure our Tech Support team can help you with this issue.
