A default on US bonds is not allowed by the Constitution and would be an impeachable offense. If Obama is not able to negotiate a debt ceiling increase, the Obama Administration effectively goes into default. Congress holds the pursestrings and must abide by Constitutional priorities. Debt must be paid first. A huge cut in federal employees is the only option. I suggest cutting Departments of Education, Labor, Transportation completely with drastic cuts to other depts.

Most economists agree that you want to INCREASE spending in order to return the economy to an equilibrium (i.e. avoid/correct a supply or demand shock). This can be done either through government spending or private spending.

I think what you fail to realize is profits=someones job.
So we would need to decrease the population if we stopped being consumers.

Yes profits do initially create jobs, but the more successful a company becomes, less and less of its profit goes into creating new positions, and instead goes into the back pockets of the company executives. Why do you think that a majority of chief economists encourage taxing the rich? Because the money is not re-invested into the economy.

A government only reflects the society it rules. Obama claimed he could change Washington, but what if people don't want to change? They have an established system that protects the wealthy, why would they allow change.

A default on US bonds is not allowed by the Constitution and would be an impeachable offense. If Obama is not able to negotiate a debt ceiling increase, the Obama Administration effectively goes into default. Congress holds the pursestrings and must abide by Constitutional priorities. Debt must be paid first. A huge cut in federal employees is the only option. I suggest cutting Departments of Education, Labor, Transportation completely with drastic cuts to other depts.

Most economists agree that you want to INCREASE spending in order to return the economy to an equilibrium (i.e. avoid/correct a supply or demand shock). This can be done either through government spending or private spending.
Perhaps if you were even slightly aware of what exactly the GDP is, or what it entails, you could actually render a worthwhile comment.

Though you are right about cash circulation through the federal reserve, none of the government's spending is counted towards those figures. For instance, if you made your own shirt, it is counted as production but doesn't count toward the GDP because it was never sold.
