The doc told him that he couldn't speak and he had to preserve his voice unless he wanted to cancel his concert instead of postpone it. The voice needs rest and when her voice isn't totally recovered, it shouldn't be pushed with something like an interview. It was either the talkbox thing or screw up another few weeks of concerts for this one interview.
