  • when was the last time you said "i love you" and ment it, for me it was this morning when i opened my eyes and saw my tokio hotel poster

  • I hate german. It sounds like the people are always cursing and screaming, it's so ugly... But when he sings in german it is so beautiful and soft <3

  • I live in texas too!!!!!((:

  • German is a beautiful language.

    <3<3<3

  • Only one problem with this, backing music is Way to loud for the word D:

  • I think when Bill sings in English a lot of the feelings he has gets lost because in thei german songs the lyrics are so much more meaningful and actually shows the real meaning and background of the song!I understand both language,i am german but speak english perfectly (used to live there) and i the german songs mean so much more to me!I love it when Tokio Hotel speaks german and when Bill sings it,it's beautiful because it is their mother tongue! <3

  • @DeutscheTHFans @TheMeghan1228 hallo! ich kommst aus Singapur. ich liebe tokio hotel! <3 im learnin german, and TH totally rock :) and i read ur conversation down there, doesnt that TH hv a concert over at germany every 2 years or so? thats what i heard. but DeutscheTHFans could u give me some tips on learnin german? cos im havin problems with sentence structure n verbs. hilfe! danke :)

  • I am german and trust me when Tokio Hotel first came out in Germany they were so amazing, everyone talked about them, they were always on TV and i started talking to random people i didn't know on the streets about Tokio Hotel and i hardly knew any girl between 8 and 20 who wasn't a TH fan back then!Everyone was so obsessed with them,it was incredible. But then they started going into different countries,it started with France and then Europe, then America and now they are hardly ever in Germany...

  • And i know you guys are all not german but i just find it so sad that a band that comes from Germany and is so famous because of their german fans just leaves them to go off to America ect. i know they will earn more money there and its more interesting but i just think that TH should be more thankful to their german fans and come to Germany more because we supported them right from the beginning and we made the life they have now possible,so anyone who agrees with me..thumbs up! It means a lot

  • @DeutscheTHFans I think that is really true and they should do something to balance it out and not stay in all the other countries. And hey I live in America and I'd rather be in Germany, just saying haha.

  • @TheMeghan1228 Thankyou! This is like the only positive reply i got, there's people saying im selfish and that i want Tokio Hotel jut to be in Germny when i never even said that and the only thing that i'm trying to do is to get my favourite band that i have liked since the past 6 years to spend more time in germany and i dont think that that's selfish or mean,do you?!

  • @DeutscheTHFans No i don't think thats selfish at all. I think they should remember how they got as big as they are now and think about how their german fans feel. And I'm not hating on them either for the record they are my favorite band ever.

  • @TheMeghan1228 Thankyou!Yes they definitly should, they are my favourite band as well..i love them all especially Bill! <3333

  • @DeutscheTHFans Oh my gosh I love Bill too haha.

  • @DeutscheTHFans im from america and have never been to one of their concerts, but you are right! the boys should go over there more often as a big thank you. if it wasnt for the german fans, TH wouldnt have gone international.

  • @biohazardvoice Yeah you're right! They should be more thankful,i went to a concert in 2006 and one in 2010..they were both amazing but 2006 was a bit better because Bill talked to the audience more..you should go to a concert :)!

  • @DeutscheTHFans no money :(

  • @biohazardvoice How much are they?! The one i went to in 2006 was about 40 euros or less i think :L

  • @DeutscheTHFans i have no clue...they have been in my city but i didnt know them at the time >.<

  • @biohazardvoice Oh that's a shame but i'm sure they will come again..where do you live? And if the tickets are too much just go ask your family for money,go baby sitting or get a job somewhere :)!

  • @DeutscheTHFans lol i live in texas, america... my parents dont let me get out of the house much only for school stuff. they would never take me and i cant go with any friends so... im screwed. DX but one day, i will go!

  • @biohazardvoice When you're over 18 you can do whatever you want :)! So go then,i'm sure Tokio Hotel will still be famous then! But depends on how old you are :P

  • Comment removed

  • @biohazardvoice Is that when you're 18?!

  • @DeutscheTHFans no, but its when im old enough in my parents eyes to make my own choices in life.

  • @biohazardvoice Aah right okay :)

  • Toller Song!

Aber Tokio Hotel soll wieder nach Deutschland kommen, sie haben gesagt das sie die deutschen Fans nie vergessen werden aber genau das haben sie getan!Die meisten songs von Humanoid wurden noch nichtmal ins Deutsche übersetzt und das finde ich echt beschissen!Ich liebe Tokio Hotel und bin auch noch ein Fan aber sie haben ihre deutschen Fans total vergessen und ohne uns würden sie jetzt auf jeden fall nicht so bekannt!

  • Tokio Hotel FUR IMMER! :D

i ADORE their english songs (i can perfectly understand only the english lyrics, as i don't have a clue about german yet) but i have to admit that their german lyrics are PHENOMENAL.

i put the song and started scrolling down to hear the german lyrics as i was reading your english translation, and i was....BLOWN AWAY. wow!!! :O :D

yes, their english songs remain AWESOME for me, but the german songs are special!

gosh, i have to start learning german SOON!!! :DDD

  • @CupcakeSparklyMouse

German is such a fun language to speak and learn :D

  • @hadesblackbloodangle i'm already having lessons with my aunt, who knows german quite well ;)

I TRULY hope i'll be able to learn german, it seems hard, honestly xD :/

  • @CupcakeSparklyMouse

Nahhhh, it's easy. It's very similar to English actually. You just need to keep up with it. And use it very often. I speak German about everyday

  • @hadesblackbloodangle thank you SO much for your supportive words :)

    i'll go for it! :DD

  • @CupcakeSparklyMouse

No problemo! If you have any questions just stop by with a message. :D

  • @hadesblackbloodangle thanks sweety! :D you are so nice!

  • @CupcakeSparklyMouse

Awah shucks. :D I try, lol

  • Alright everyone! I'm addressing the confusion about the song! Lass uns laufen means let's run but hinterm horizont (or Hinter dem Horizont) means behind the horizon. So in German the song is let's run but they do say behind the horizon. Clear things up :)?

  • ich liebe dieses lied!

    ich liebe tokio hotel!

  • Tokio hotel Guth und Ich liebe Tom Kaulitz

  • How

    Guth die Video ;)

  • oh my gosh. Reading the closer translation is bringing me to tears.

Dont get me wrong, but Why isnt the English version this beautiful?

  • @4thfuzzed Because... (In my opinion, anyway) the German songs are better because that's the boys' mother tongue. The lyrics are coming straight from their hearts and minds, whereas for the English version, for us to understand it, they have to change some words and it often turns out completely different from the German version. I prefer the German songs. <3 TH. <3

  • pretty

  • did you made the lyrics?

  • Hey Canadian fans! Let's get the boys back to Canada! Sign the petition - petitiononline(dot com)/m1k3y22/petition(dot html), or google Tokio Hotel Canada Concert Petition.

Danke shon! Any non-Canadian fans, your support would still be appreciated :-)

    Tokio Hotel fur immer!

und danke fur posting this! I'm trying to learn German, and being able to read the words while hearing them helps a lot :-) so danke!

  • wießt ihr das ich euch mag

  • Their songs are so much more poetic in their original language. German > English. =D

  • german versions are always better to me! =)

  • @xxxSlitzxxx1 Lol, ALWAYS. I was just going to say that. =D

  • @DizzyDior12 i know right ^^

  • went to find out the meaning when i first heard the german version

was surprised how this song truly speaks to my heart

i got so excited i even tried it on my piano while this song is playing

although i can relate better to the english version, but german version is good too

ich liebe dich Bill Kaulitz and tokio hotel

just hope Bill kaulitz can hear me say this

he has a five star personality, always inspiring people though lyrics and the words he speak during interviews.

  • Even i can't understand,this is awesome!

  • Doesn't Lass Uns Laufen mean Let Us Run?

  • @oddity9 I think it is!

    star21 . com / translation

  • @oddity9 yes is it:)

  • wow i never knew they two versions of the songs were SO different lyric and message wise.......they are pretty much 2 different songs that just sound the same musicaly. wow.....i wish they would have done more direct translations for the english CD. i mean i LOVE the message and lyrics of World Behind My Wall but the REAL translation is so much more powerful. am i making any sense? hahaah. thanks for the vid

  • Sie haben eine erstaunliche Arbeit auf diesem Video und ich bin eigentlich ziemlich überrascht, dass Sie haben alle Worte Recht. Trotzdem, gute Arbeit, und halten Sie diese gute Arbeit!

  • totally kicks the english version's butt

  • oh shit wasn dat fürn scheiß????

  • @MyTomKaulitz1989 that's really creepy, hun. You're listing off personal experiences to total strangers. Not to mention strangers that don't want to know what you did with Tom Kaulitz :)))

  • Can you do Automatisch? I love Automatisch...

    Your videos are great btw

  • (L)_(L) :P:P

  • Shouldn't the song be called 'behind the horizon'? I think that's closer to the English 'Behind my wall', but I assume the song was done in German first?

  • @Nightlightknight

yes, it was done in German first, but they had to change it so it fit the rhythm of the music.

  • @JigokuShojo1331

I did my own english version of it. Lass uns Laufen

means Let us Run, which is the name of my english version if you wanna hear it, my goal is to get as many views as possible, I hope that Bill, will hear it <3

  • @Nightlightknight it means in english:

Let us Run :) Lass uns Laufen :)

  • @Nightlightknight on wikipedia,it said ''let us run''.sooo...is it 'let us run' or 'behind the horizon'?

  • @WeirdCandy98

Lass Uns Laufen means "Let Us Run" So yes, techniqully it is "Let us Run"

But, Hinterm Horizont means "Behind The Horizon"

So the real name is Lass Uns Laufen (Let Us Run) But they do say Hinterm Horizont (Behind The Horizon) in the chorous as well. Make sense?

  • @Nightlightknight We cant complain about it. They had to do it to bring this beautifull song to english!

  • THe german version is great! I love it! Ich liebe ists!!!!!EEEE>Great>thanks 4 uploading:)

  • @ryuuzakilover

german verisons are always the best. and the english verisons are Never the actual translations, I've been a fan for 5 years.. so I've noticed this many times.. and wrote my own translatons of their lyrics. I even did my own english verison of Lass uns laufen, "Let us Run" bc thats what lass uns laufen translates to.

  • para mi iceman

  • This song is soooooooooooo beautiful.

  • wow...that's a lot of different terms there...but i think it is okey since it rhymes and i much like the meaning in german version...(or is it because i like dark things*)

  • ICH LIEBE TOKIO HOTEL!

  • I find it odd that the German and English version differ so greatly, not in just simple terms and phrases, but in whole meaning, as well. I know enough German to know that this is the case with many of the songs on Humanoid and, to a lesser extent, on the other albums.

  • i agree completely, it's too bad that so much gets lost in translation.

  • Or maybe Bill is just messing with those of us that either only know German or only know English, while the bilingual individuals laugh at our naivety from the shadows.

  • lol maaaybe. ^_^ do you think he'd be that evil?

  • Hmm, maybe. But does that really constitute evil? I think it would be slightly clever, though the two version COULD be a LITTLE more similiar. Durch den Monsun and Monsoon are at least somewhat similiar in message.

  • well, what i think it is about these 2 albums, i think the songs on 'Scream' were closer to the original German ones because they probably chose the songs that translated best. on 'Humanoid', they wanted the same songs on both so they had to stick with not-so-good translations

  • Hmm, well that makes sense because not all the songs on Zimmer483 were on Scream and only a few from Schrei were made into English.

  • yeah, they were able to take the ones that had a more concrete translation for 'Scream'.

  • @MelyssaAKASkittlez because its the same song monsoon is the english translation for durch den monsun thats why

  • @90Rhapsody Monsoon isnt the english Translation. It's the English Version..

if you take a look at DDM's actual translation and compare the monsoon lyrics, there are differences.

  • I am sorry if someone said it beofre, but at one point yopur lyrics are wrong... it is "Lass uns laufen bis die Nacht sich erhellt" and not "...bist die Nacht..."

but a great video, i like it very much ^.^

  • @chileo93

yes, i am aware......i realized my typo as soon as i uploaded. oops! :O

  • i agree.

    aw, lucky you!

  • thanks for posting the german version of this song!! it's so cool that the english translation of this song is so different from the english CD, and that's why I always love their original CD better--not everything translates from german to the english CD. i love both CD's but I really love the German CD for the lyrcis =)

    thanks again!
