  • Very nice review

  • @SABONDSOUNDS thank you!

  • Looks like BBP is going head to head with Jaybird. They just announced their Mobiband bluetooth headphones too that are very similar, but I think the best thing is they fold and don't come in cheesy 80's colors.

  • would these be good for just like chilling too?? :D

  • @AriGLizG i think they would be just fine for chilling, illing, maxing, taxing, or relaxing.

  • Nice video.

Do they hang on to the head well and is it easy to break?

  • @FoxSuperPower Thanks. My experience has shown that it is definitely best to have the head vertical, like running or most weight lifting. As soon as you start hanging, or doing push-ups, they'll start to slide around. They have NEVER, NEVER fallen off! They only FEEL like they might slip, so I adjust them. The assembly seems sturdy and well-made, although I have never dropped them. I have also worn them in the pouring rain! Check out the SB2 which is available now, I believe.

  • guy dont call it a satchel your rockin a god dam fanny pack!

  • @hixvill00 haha! wtf is a satchel?

  • nice review! i have a question, can i listen internet radio on jaybird?

  • @hugo68 On my iPhone I listen to aol radio and pandora radio apps with jaybird all the time! If you're referring to listening on your computer, I assume that if your computer has Bluetooth it should work out.

  • compared to the headsets that come with the iphone how is the sound quality

  • @Safaie7 The iPhone comes with in-your-earbuds. That would be a different comparision. But, I'd have to say that although the sound on the JayBird is good, the sound of the iPhone earbuds are better. That is, assuming you can tolerate the whole cord issue, which is what spawned Bluetooth in the first place.

  • works with iphone? D:

  • @FerraretionGx I used an iPhone 3GS for this review. So, yes.

  • 1.How much do they cost?

    2.Are those headphones loud enough?

    Thank you.

  • @amahovac 1. This is the model SB1. I bought it about a year ago for about $90 direct from Jaybird. They now have available an SB2. You can check anywhere for pricing.

    2. The sound was good for me. But, to be fair, I'm not the type of person who blasts loud music. I used them in all different scenarious - gym, driving, running, cycling, and the mucic was fine. Phone calls good too.

  • dont no anything about these but would they work with ipod touchs?

  • @lano94 They need a Bluetooth connection. For an iPod Touch you might need a Bluetooth adapter, which I believe Jaybird sells.

  • I noticed that the "subjekt pulse bt headphones" seem to be the exact same set with different badging for half the cost..... Looks like the manufacture just sold them cheaply to vendors who passed them off to us, guess Jaybird is just more greedy.

  • @scorpio3195 I've seen them on some Chinese direct site with a different label for less money also. If you get them please let me know how they work for you.

  • cool headset indeed!

this works in all devices that has bluetooth technology. if your device doesn't have bluetooth (such as nano/classic/CD player), it will still work, provided you also bought the uSport (jaybird product too).

this video was in Jan 2010.. last Sep 2010, Apple released the iOS 4.1 for iPod touch/iPhone which includes AVRCP feature that now lets you use the next/previous track buttons in sportband rather than using voice control which was really annoying to say "next song".

  • @psaphirro Cool info! Thanks!

  • does anyone know if they would work on a blackberry curve 8520 ?

  • Thanks mate, good review

  • @MrNuigit Thank you!

  • I have purchase these on Amazon the Candy Apple red and i have great reviews and heard them in the gym and they love them. People since you don't know something that i know......When you download music on YouTube or File Sharing they headset turn that quality into CD Quality and because of the MTX patent technology its awesome. i tried 4 major headset and nobody can surpass these especially for the gym or riding your mountain bike. They stay on and anti-sweat. SO GET ONE AND YOU'LL BE HAPPY.

  • @davewc39 I didn't know they had all these cool colors. When I bought mine they only had black. Thanks!

  • Does anyone know if you get a phone call, do you hear the call in BOTH ears? The Freedom only plays in NOE ear for CALLS

  • @jonjoslin Yes. Both ears.

  • Awsome review!

  • @MriBackup Thanks!

  • Thanks alot for the review. Just one question about the foam or sponge on the ear piece, is it good quality? from what I see on the web it looks like that cheap sponge you get with normal cheap earphones? Thanks.

  • @colinmc81 I've had my headphones for about five months, sweat and all, and they seem to be holding up fine. They actually seem to be better quality than the usual foam you might see on cheap phones. In my opinion, I would say they seem pretty tough and durable.

  • Thanks for the review man... Makes me feel MUCH better about the order I just placed with them. I was quite concerned that they might look a tad effeminate on my head, but apparently, that isn't the case.

  • @420squeeg HaHa! Well, post a video of you and I'll tell you if you look effeminate!

Thanks for the comment! I just checked the JayBird site and the BlueBuds are not yet available. WTF?!

  • @SalvadorLosAngeles Oh man, it's been a friggin kickass month... I can't say I "love" the way I look with these things on, but it could be a LOT worse (s9, cough)... I sweat like mad, and I haven't broken these things, even walked back home through the rain one day (since they dared me to). Been working out 6 days a week, and I got them like mid-may. Thanks soo much for pushing me that little extra bit to buy these. Oh, and the foam seems to dry in like 2-3 hours or so, maybe less...

  • @420squeeg You're welcome! Glad you're having fun!

  • I am disappointed by the SB1 headphones. Despite being 'sweatproof' fact is after an INTENSE workout at the gym, the set turned off and was unable to come back on. I returned them under the lifetime sweat warranty. The replacement broke literally upon turning the earpieces (as they also advertise this ability) and finally got my 3rd set a few days ago. My first workout at the gym, about 45mins into cardio, they turned off again and I can no longer turn them on!

  • @makerofdrums Sorry to hear that. I haven't seen or read of this happening to someone before. You are more patient than me. After the second pair breaking I would have demanded a refund. Might I recommend the Motorola Bluetooth? Although I've read many reviews of sweat causing problems, I know two guys at the gym that swear by them. Good luck!

  • so sweat doesn't affect these? i had the motorokr s9 (2 pair) and they suck. as soon as you sweat they stop working.... and when i run, i sweat. thanks sal

  • @alwalser I bought these after extensive online research. It seemed the thing people were complaining about the most when it came to bluetooth headsets was their vulnerability when it came to sweat. JayBird dares us to "run in the rain..."

    (Quoted from their website.)

  • Well... Hope you return with an update in the near future! Can't wait to hear if there is any pc lag!

  • Have you tried connecting it to a computer via Bluetooth? I am curious to know what the sound delay (i.e. latency) is when watching Youtube!

    Interesting review by the way.....

  • @Maxifylicious Thank you. I have not connected the Jaybirds to a computer. Wish I had; interesting question.

  • Thanks, i was watching for the Jaybird and it made me want the Gel Pak. Great review also, no one else was so kind enough to put it on their head.

  • @tysonology You're welcome.

  • whats the name of that pack "satchel" you are using. can't find it anywhere.

  • @tysonology Nathan Gel Pack. Nathan has many models, but I found the Gel Pack to be the lightest and most comfortable. Able to fit iPhone, keys, cash, and gels, if need be. I picked it up at Sports Chalet in Los Angeles for $20.

  • do these headphones move at all while running? i'll be doing workouts that involve a lot of jumps and pushups and I get extremely sweaty. So just wanted to know if these would move at all once on.

  • @mohd4325

Sounds like you'll be doing sort-of a crossfit workout. Running, they stay put. Jumps, and jumping jacks, or anything where you're vertical, should be fine. Although they've never fallen-off during any exercises I've done, including upside down Roman Chair back extensions, they do shift around a little and require ocassional adjustment. They are labeled sweatproof.

If you are doing crossfit, these are probably not the premiere choice. Might wait for the new Blue Buds.

  • thanks for your reply. i think i might just buy these, I'm doing this workout called Insanity, if they stay put during jumping jacks then I guess they should be fine for me.

  • thanks for the review.

  • Great review! I've been trying to find reviews of these before I grab them. Im gonna be using the nike + gear (shoe thing and watch) so I will see how that works with those.
