This song reminds me of one of the best times in my life. I was with my grandparents going to Atlanta to see my Uncle. My mom/sister was already there at his house when we pulled up. When we got out of the car they had a radio outside. As soon as I shut the door this song came on. Everyone that I have ever loved was within arms reach. My grandparents & aunt has now passed away but every time I hear this song I think back to that day. What a precious memory this song brings back.

This has to be one of the most beautiful songs to have ever been written. I have always absolutely loved this one. When I listen to this song, I do feel like I am sailing away and I feel alive in my heart and soul again just as I did in my youth. This is a very powerful song here. You can feel all emotions when you listen to it. Christopher Cross really outdid himself here. He made a masterpiece that is a timeless peice of music. A real classic that is exceptionally gorgeous. I am a sailor because of this piece of music. It started it all for my wife and I back in 1983, and we were able to but a boat over time, and now we live onboard fulltime, om Lake Superior...during the April to November period. Truly, this piece captures the soaring feelings, excitement and beauty of sailing..anywhere! Thanks for the wonderful photography.
