  • Where can I get some bare molex fan connectors? (UK)

  • Yes, It is verry simply but I doesn't know that there was a plastic clip over the house of the molex. Know I learnd what in Belgium-Leuven inclusive this languages. When a 20 years ago with commodore or msx it was very different!

    Thanks,

    Roel

  • is there a way without that tool

  • I have a sycthe gentle typhoon fan. Its 3 pin but I I am not sure where the pins go...

How can I can test if the fan works or not, using the PSU?

  • @MrGrandDragon You can connect it to motherboard 3-pin header or get a 3-pin to molex 4-pin adapter. There is a tab on there so it oly goes on one way no worries about wrong installation there.

  • @RickArter

I removed the white Molex connection because I wanted to braid my cable. But I forgot in which order the cable go back in side. On the left hand side of the Molex connector there is an arrow...I think the black cable goes in there..?

Grounding, voltage and I think speed control are the the three function of the three pins

  • can u pls make a video how to turn that molex fan plug in to 3 pin motherboard fan plug or give me a link if u already have 1

    Thx

  • @KIREMS You can go 3 pin to molex but not other way around iirc. Since the molex only runs power and ground. The 3/4 pin connectors have a extra lead for RPM control and RPM sensor.

  • i have coolermaster haf 932, and i wanna put 4 120mm fans in the side, can i connect the 4 fans and just plug it in one motherboard fan socket? please help!

  • You can connect them together and run off single molex but not through board the headers wont support that much draw through them will burn them out.

  • if you do so, wont the molex deliver the power and the then the current is devided to the fans?

  • Really awsome tutorial. Thanks. Can you teach how to make a 4 pin to 2 pin adaptator? Im looking all over the web for it but i cant find it.

  • why would you remove it..

  • Removal is only a necessity if you are sleeving or extending the cables or possibly adding a different type of connector.

  • This really helped me, i did my first cable sleeving test ever when i watched this video :P and it surely helped about the male-female connector.

  • NICE NICE :)

  • So rick I was going to sleeve a fan of mine that has this passthrough molex and couldnt figure out how to open that little door, lmao. I didnt want to break the molex so I passed, now I will sleeve it for sure thank you, btw that sunbeam tool you have is pretty flimsy. I have one as well and I wish they were a little stronger. Why didnt you use the molex tool?

  • nice vid rick

  • no problem man

  • they do sell the pins them selves

    on crazypc(dot)com under molex connectors

  • STFU DOG DAMNIT.

I actually was looking at one of these and couldn't figure out how to open the damn door lmao.

  • that happened to me too the first time, but it did it the wrong way and it broke haha

  • Ya I almost broke the door too first time with is type of connector.

  • nice how to vid :)

  • i can hear a dog in backround :D

    cool video 5/5 STARS!

  • Ya that damn dog always meese up my vid I have to redo more vids bc of him then bc i mess up lol.

  • I was wondering how to get the wire to stay inside of the molex connector. because one of my fans will not stay inside the molex connector, and it will fall out when the case is moved. it does not have a little door on the connector. its for a small 20 mm side fan. I guess tape it or glue it, its sad though because its on a molex connector that lights up the entire case.

  • nice man nice... 5/5

  • I was your first view. Even though I have no idea what this is
