...many fond memories...I can still remember hearing this tune in a company's truck between job sites back in '89; this live version is so crisp in its style.
Folks don't forget that it isn't always going to sound the same all the time unless you are listening to the CD/tap/ or album. The line up has probably changed since you last heard them also, and let's not forget the biggest thing...everybody has off days, even these guys. Try doing your job consistantly the EXACT same way all the time (or at least see if you can do it that way) day after day, year after year without some kind of changes. They were probably tired and just wanted the day to end.
That's for sure! There's not a single band/performer who's not had an off night. Its a lot like touring in the late 60s-70s; sometimes you had 2-3 hours sleep if that and you'd forget where the hell you were playing next. One only has so much stamina! No one EVER wants to put on a dreadful performance, but it does happen so I can understand why this performance is not up to par for some.
so its funny how I come acroos this video. A man said he written the song while I was talking to him over the phone fixing his cable. I'm in Canada, he is in Florida. Long live call centers and Bright house networks!... I would of never heard of the song.
Good story! I tried convincing a girl back in the early 70's that I had written the song 'If' by Bread, because she loved that song.
Actually, this is one of the few songs that no one from Poco had a hand in writing. it was written by Billy Crain, Ronnie Guilbeau & Rick Lonow. Maybe it really one of those guys who is your customer!
i hope this video reaches as many people as possible this is an open air venue the back drop is the gorge in lewiston ny neighbor to niagara falls ny many artists that have performed here have commented on its beauty and majesty these concerts are free also !! yeah we luv it here in western new york thanks for posting !!! by the way sounded good to me hope they make it back chuck
Thanks, it really is a terrific venue. I had a chance to ask Paul about playing the State Fair in Syracuse. They'd never played Syracuse. He was good enough to put me in touch with Rick Alter, their manager. Rick sent me the promo package, which went directly to the guy booking the fair acts. And then they scheduled a gig there last summer, along with Firefall and PPL. Now it looks like they're booked again for this year, their 40th year. Hope you can make it to Syracuse on August 27!
Not sure what you mean. This is shot with a video camera with the built in mic, from probably 200 feet away. No, it's certainly not album quality, but for what it is, it's not bad.
Sorry, there happened to be something wrong with my audio card just as I was watching several Poco videos on You Tube... I discovered it after I had commented.
do they still tour.

I saw Rusty and Poco play this at Taste of Colorado the other weekend and he played it the right way with the lead done on the mandolin.

wow... they are just horsing around or don't care anymore. that sounds bad. and i like them! loved the legacy album!

It does sound like don't care anymore.
This is really terrible.
They were at their best with the '89 Legacy line-up....but this has got to be a joke.
