  • BOND ARMS please make a 4 barrel 410 shooter similar to the cop 357. Use the tranter type trigger system to make it double action. You guys would kick the taurus judges' ass with that.

  • Judge or Ranger, you'll understand if I wouldn't want you shooting an apple off of MY head with either one. Lol.

  • @MrProDreamer At least with the .410, anyway.

  • Like many of these kind of videos penetration is totally ignored. We know they can print a pattern on paper and kill fruits and vegetables but how about penetration in a human? After all an ugly but shallow wound will not stop a determined attacker. Too many uninformed gun owners are buying these kind of guys and will aruge to the death that they are plenty of firepower based on the fact that they can make a lot of little holes in a paper target or blow up fruit.

  • @itouchnj Well yeah but I've seen where they can penetrate over six inches into ballistics gell. They say if it can't go 12 inches then it is not good for self defense. The thing is, if it only goes half way into a torso and not all the way through, it applies more stopping power. A human rib cage isn't made of steel or anything. If it can shoot through a 2x4 ( it can), it can shoot through a sternum.

  • Own ss & poly public defender, you make that Texas Ranger look very interesting- thanks BMB

  • Thank you.

  • Great Video Sir

  • that last part was epic!!

  • Nice touch with the Ecstasy of Gold song.

  • I use my Taurus Judge (3 in cylinder) loaded with 5 000 410 shells for home defense. I conceal carry my SW model 60 (3" barrel) along w/ my Bond Snake Slayer as backup. Best

  • I Have the new Public Defender "Judge" Ploy LOVE IT!

  • Shooting paper wont tell you about penetration on muscle (snakes are all muscle)

With 7 1/2 shot mine just bounces off of snakes and groundhogs at distances as close as 25ft.

dont believe me? try the 7 1/2 load on ballistic gelatin covered with a piece of thin leather to simulate skin and you will see.

The only way to kill a snake with this reliably (without being closer than 6ft) is to use.45 LC

Its a belly gun and nothing more. It will serve you well as long as you dont expect crAzy things

  • @jedirifleman common. wut about #4 shot 00buck 000buck slugs.

  • i like the judge better.

  • Guns dont kill people, people dont kill people, bullets kills people.

  • @SladeForelly bullets dont kill people, blood loss does.

  • Hello there, again. Good vid. I also have the Judge Magnum ( shoots the 3" 410 shells or 45 long colt). The revolver is both single and double action. I love it

  • Is the tarus judge single action too?

  • When 2 rounds are not enough, don't give up - RELOAD ;-)

  • Good test...good video! Thanks for posting!

  • Nice job...Like em both;-)

  • WHATS THE SONG WHATS THE SONG WHATS THE SONG!

  • @imoutofnames1993 Title of the song is "Ecstasy of Gold" by Ennio Morricone... made famous in such film as the Good, the bad, the ugly.. Great spaghetti western song.. Metallica used this song as their intro for many years in their concerts.... GREAT SONG!

  • Awesome, "The Old Stand By"

  • that was a great vid

  • Why do you focus so much on Bond Arm's? You made 7 vids about them, using 3 different models that I could count from the titles. That's $1000+ worth of guns right there. $600 if you just changed the barrels. Something's fishy here.

I own a C2K model and it's freaking awesome. Bond Arms are definitely worth checking out. I don't think I could make a half dozen vids about them.

  • The biggest difference is that the Ranger is American made and the tarus is made in brazil, thats all i need to know

  • Funny guy. :>

  • In the words of the beatles "Happiness is a warm gun, bang bang".

  • "if you cant get it done in two shots, you're probably going to loose." pretty sure youre alone on that one bud.

  • @MrBallistics I think he means that if you miss twice, then your SOL in a real world attack which is pretty much true.

  • @HoldGovtAccountable Not true man. The police switched from revolvers to semi autos because they found they were expending all their ammo before the threat was stopped. I know of many police shoot outs where it took 14 rounds to hit and subdue the attacker. You never know what the "attack" is going to be. To each his own, but Id rather bet my life on more that 2 rounds, especially when the gun weighs over 20 ounces!!! You are in 1911 territory now.

  • @MrBallistics I will agree with you about the fact that more is better. I carry a Taurus PT-111 on myself and a Taurus judge in my car. I think that increasing your chances of survival is far better with 6-8- or 10 rounds is much more comforting for me too. Until we are forced into a life threatning situation, we will never know what the outcome will be. I still think think that one or two well placed shots are more desireable than the spray and pray approach however. :)

  • @HoldGovtAccountable I agree, shot placement is the most important. Derringers will be fantastic at what they have always been designed as: a back up weapon. Unfortunate though that this one weighs so much, dont think it'll work for ankle carry. If I were to carry a derringer for primary, Id go with one of th 45-70 survival models. If one shot will drop a bear, Id feel pretty confident about dropping an assailant. of course, some bird shot to the eyes would probably diffuse the situation too.

  • @MrBallistics Amen brother. My wife just got a Bond snake slayer IV 410/45, mostly for fun and to carry in her saddlebag when riding her horse. She carries the SW ladysmith 38cal. for personal and the Derringer for fun. (Early Christmas toy). The Bond Derringers are a little pricey ($435) but you can also change cal. for $139.00 which is pretty cool. She had the 38/357 comming too.....I should have never showed her that damn "Bond" website. haha.

  • @HoldGovtAccountable haha, I know what you mean. Just be glad you've got someone to share the hobby with! The snake slayer is on my shopping list as well. I cant think of a better snake gun, so the name is pretty apt. In Ga, where I live, they get really active in the spring. One of these babies in the pocket would be all you would need in copperhead country.

  • @MrBallistics Have you fired the Derringer 45/70, if so hows the kick?? seems that it will really hurt ones wrist after 2 rounds. But then again, in a hostile confrontation...who cares.

  • @HoldGovtAccountable haha no, not something I would go plinking with... I have read on boards where a full power load caused a man to be unable to use his hand for a month. There is a video on here somewhere of a guy shooting a weak load, looks to me like at least a 500 smith kick. Its got a 45-70 and a 4.10 barrel. Its morbid, but i figured the rifle round is for the bear thats on top of you, and the 4.10 is for yourself if the first round doesn't stop it... Id rather feel lead than teeth...

  • @MrBallistics Haha. right. Merry Christmas and happy shooting to you too.

  • @MrBallistics why do you feel that way? about the qoute..

  • @TheThroney Uh, because the average amount of round discharged in a SD situation is 3-5, according to the NRA -ILA website. If 2 was enough for every situation, all guns would have 2 shot capacities.

A wise man once said, anyone worth shooting is worth shooting a dozen times.

  • HA! good music choice, Ennio Morricone.

  • The Judge is much more intimidating.May not even have to shoot some fool with it as you call 911 on the idiot.I do like the fact the Bond is more compact. The sad thing is both are less acccurate/shorter range than my snub .38 or Ruger LCP so I wont but one except in a very limited niche scenario. No one can say you are looking for trouble with a derringer holding two shots.

  • can you shoot slugs with eather of these firearms?

  • Great video!

  • Very funny ending. I love your videos.

  • yes but if there is more target aka bad guys the juge is the way to go

  • Great vid

  • judge in my opinion is a gun youd keep in your truck on your lap.. can just blow straight through your door and murk anyone trying to car jack you.. i could see carrying the ranger for a backup gun though lol

  • Woah. The barrel lengths are not the same.

  • @tavspop I have to agree. The barrel on the Texas Ranger is half breech. I would say the Judge has a 2.5" longer barrel. I am surprised how alike the patterns were.

  • @77winkleman I own a judge and it has a 3" barrel. That means 3" of rifling to spin a projectile. After the Ranger is loaded(with .45 long colt) about 1.5" of barrel are left. So when shooting shotshells, patterns are about the same. When shooting .45 long colt the judge has much greater range. I can shoot 3" groups at 75' all day. I'll bet the ranger can't do that at 25'. Not really a fair comparison, but I would still love a ranger if it ever got up close and personal+ concealment.

  • Love them both, this is a nice video,The Happy Trails Made me Laugh but still loved it Thanks.

I really did like the Comparison's

  • was the music from Good, Bad, and The Ugly or Fist Full of Dollars? I have both movies but for the life of me cant remember. Good theme, and excellent review!

  • what are you trying to compare? "conceal-ability"?...pointless! you are shooting the same ammo in both so why would power be any different? if your are comparing the hand guns themselvs then capicity is as important as size. I SAY THE BOTTOM LINE IS HOW MUCH TROUBLE YOU HAD LOADING THAT BOND ARMS..better hope you dont need more than two shots

  • @h2omadman concealability is pointless? have u ever handled the judge? lets see u walk around with that cannon on your hip, and u probably wouldnt need more than 1 shot, u are talking a .45lc and a .410, doubt u need more than one to get it done.

  • @davism4a1 ok,ok. the bond arms is smaller, yes. size/capacity is a trade off with all hand guns. size is VERY important in a carry weapon. my point is reloading for the bond arms is unique, therfore anyone could fumble with it. it also must be reloaded often. stats show even trained police miss 80% in real life shoot-outs

  • @h2omadman yeah all good points, i see the bond as a carry gun and the judge as a truck gun

  • I would go with the judge more ammo=more protection there is always the chance you will need more than two shots.

plus the two pistols are like the same price.

  • i like the good the bad and the ugly theme song in the backround

  • Hey Mr. Straightshot,

I like you videos. Nicely done. I was wondering if you've ever tried tossing skeets up and shooting them with either of these guns?

  • I've just realized, no gun is complete without one-liners. At first, he's just some typical, weirdo American gun enthusiast lowering my vast amount of gun ignorance, but as soon as he says "anyone for a little fruit salad?" BANG! he graduates to grade A badass.

  • @MarlonOwnsYourCake You do realize that it is not the Person who decides the one liner? its the boomstick!

  • Guns are beautiful

  • Dear Sir:

Well done. I really like the musical score. Partner, that is what I call a good talkie of a picture show and sure nough good shooting. Happy Trails! Bravo for You.

The old UncleSasquatch is sold on both!

  • love the video. It's great to see the two side by side. l only have a couple of comments. The barrel on the Bond arms isn't a true 4" like the one on the Judge. The Bonds barrel is only 1" if the .410 round is 3" long. Plus you don't have to cock the judge every time you want to shoot. I still plan to buy both guns because they are both very cool in their own respects. And at that those ranges they both did very well.

  • damn where can i buy one?

  • @Frostyjesus At the bond arms site

  • long live the 12 gauge! haha. great video!

  • The Ranger just made the top of my wishlist.

  • Great video. This shows that the bond arms ranger is much smaller and would be much better to carry. And you are correct if you need more than 2 shots you are in bigger trouble anyway. Love the music. I would like to see more this professionally done.

  • I would like to see the Ranger vs Judge shooting 45 at 7 yards. I do like the ranger better.
