They are being offered £14,000 + flights home, any additional hotel stay and a full refund on the total coat of the cruise + another cruise should they want one. Obviously those people that have lost someone will get millions.

I want the cruise's staff to also be compensated. There are almost a 1000 of them that worked on that ship. According to this video they won't be compensated which I think is very unfair. They worked for that company and should be compensated at least 14K each. They all had families to support too.

Yeah I know 6 or so people died (and they should ask for millions) but it could have been much worst. I think that compensation for the passengers is fair but the staff of the ship are getting nothing; there's gotta be at least a 1000 staff on that thing. They should get compensated for at least 3 months salary or so. Fuck that cruiseline

@ghayath2011 A lot more than 6 people lost their lives on the ship, and plenty still haven't been recovered yet so the death figure will easily rise from the current 15 confirmed to very possibly double that. The thing is, this wasn't just human error, it was human negligence which can throw a spanner in the works when it comes to compensation. Yeah there are people who got out without injury and lost a few bits of luggage, but others genuinely will be scarred from their experiences of the event
