  • the gayest town ever!

  • This is an excellent, nicely paced film. Everything works together so well. Thanks for sharing it.

  • Thanks for a great video of a wonderful seaside town. Swanage, gem of the Dorset Coast

  • Love the video, it brought back many happy memories of days there before i moved to New Zealand

    expom

  • I used to work in the place where the gas cylinders were, screen printing tiles, with a local chap called Chinchin, he lent me my first art book, I was in digs near the station.

    How it's changed.

  • I absolutely adore this video. I lived in Swanage for 9 months only, but they were the best of my life. I love that place and I hope I can go back there, at least as holidays. Thank u for uploading, it brought me beatiful memories... THANK YOU!

plus we may see you again this year! we'll say hello this time ha ha!

  • I hope to make another video this New Year's. In fact I already had the music picked out by February. However, it will be released under a different YouTube channel. I've provided a link in the side bar.

  • I've lived nearby all my life, this video is really lovely, captures all the nicest things about the town, and the music is great too. Thanks for uploading : )

  • An excellent vid! There should me more creative stuff on u-tube!

Just returned from Dorset and I really liked Swanage. Not too big, not too busy, a good Victorian era seaside town.

  • I went swanage this weekend travelled 600 miles to get there, had a well good time as it is a fantastic place.Hope to live there 1 day.

  • Thanx 4 the vid. I must, must, must go 2 Swanage again this yr I love it esp at dawn :)

  • IT IS TRUELY AMAZING

  • This is well good...You should become professional :D

  • Thanks, snowflakett. Professional? I wish! Anyway, I do have a 'part 1' coming up soon, I hope. Computer problems are delaying me getting it out there, but you might like it. Thanks for your kind comments.

  • Love the video almost as much as i love Swanage seeing all that reminds what a fantastic place Swanage really is no other place on earth can match the beauty of the place even though i moved from there over 30 years ago i still look upon Swanage as home thanks for the video and for the memories

  • Thanks, Sparky, that means a lot when it comes from someone who is as smitten with Swanage as I am. So glad you like the video and I really appreciate you commenting on it. For other really nice general footage of Swanage check out my part 1 video.

  • A great record....

    Thanks for posting

  • I am impressed you were up so early after the night before, I know I didn't get to bed until 3.45am! Did you still have your costume on?

What a difference in the surroundings from a few hours earlier, good video..

  • Thanks! No, I didn't have my costume on :) I went to bed at 4:30am, got up at 6:30am to film this video and then went back to bed at 9am. I was actually really surprised and a little disappointed that there weren't a few discarded fancy dress costumes strewn across the streets.

  • Thanks for posting this on my 2008 sunrise video page. I love the background music. Do you by chance know the song and/or artist names?

  • It's a beautiful piece of music, isn't it? It's called Birdland by Takagi Masakatsu

  • I love it. It sounds very familiar, almost like I've heard it in a movie soundtrack somewhere. Beautiful video....very peaceful and serene. I hope to visit there someday....on New Year's Day morning. :-)

    Thanks again....

  • i think i saw you filming this when you were on the beach near the mowlem, i was with some friends, good filming!

  • Thanks! I do remember, you walked along the sea front side of the Mowlem towards the square. Quite the coincidence that you ended up watching the video. Happy new year!
