Hi, I need some help. Recently I have purchased, accu-chek performa from Singapore. I came back to India. Used once for my mother. Today when I tried to use it again, the needle pressure is not going through ie., it is struck. Needles are available but backside push is struck. any one can help?
if you want accuracy, using the same sample within minutes, will not give an accurate result, using any substance to cleanse your fingers, other than warm water and soap.. then thoroughly drying will also, not give an accurate result..the chemical from the alcohol wipe mixes with your blood sample, hence giving an 'inaccurate' result.
Scary but true, the regulators only require meter companies to produce products that are 'close' to accurate. That's why you get variations between the strips. One is 10% too low, one is 10% too high. Given the cost of these things, and what's at stake, it is amazing that the regulators don't tighten the accuracy requirements!
i only used it once then 5 months later went to use it again and the strips are out of date and the chip has expired. what a con ! i understand 'medical' items have a sell by date but in an airtight container and no option to override trhe message for someone to get a ballpark figure who is not taking the reading too seriously for health is a rip off imo
I am grabbing a Nano today... Based entirely on my own consumer impulse because it looks sexy. Heh... I see yer using a Performa... Sharp looking, and isn't that very similar to the Nano?

Also, I am wondering if your first drop of blood may have had some inter-stitial fluid in it.
