@gta4lifeguys in arma two you can get sound mods that give it a very close realistic sound, plus if players on the ground have the mod then they will hear rounds impacting along with the report a second later.

Of course. I didn't say it would destroy a tank with a single round. I was simply stating that most games tend to dumb the GAU-8 down in both rate of fire, and destructive capability, to the point where it seems like a machinegun with just increased armor pentration (or just the ability to damage heavy armor, if some games use a system like that)

OFP:elite is totaly shitty tho... it has the rof of a .50 cal and wit the imposibility for tiny adjustments in aiming its useless against tanks

Little late but it's very accurate as fas as damage goes. Strafing a tank with the Harrier generally only results in damage and the crew bailing.  One good rip from the A10 and the tank goes up in flames.

Yes- It's very realistic. The A-10's main gun is far ore powerful than the SU's gun, of course, but the SU-34 is equipped with 40 air to ground unguided rockets, etc.
