I think I can help you a little bit along the way. Go to the Chordie website and search for New Shoes. The correct one has the capo on 1st fret and these chords: A, Cadd9, Dsus2, E, G. I've checked it and it corresponds with the chords on this video.

Mind that he plays the A-chord as a barre chord to make life easier. To make the sound "stop-and-go", repeatedly lift your left hand a bit off the strings to damp the sound.
