  • Lol @ comment about hopping the fence... its true though big difference between public land and private land bucks, that first buck they saw would not have grown that big if he was on public land.... would've been killed a long time ago as a 2x2

  • what kind of rifle were you using?

  • why don't you guys jump the fence and hunt a real buck and leave your pets alone

  • Nice buck bro!! I been huntin D-8 my whole life and had great success!! I get one every year! My dad got a nice 4x4 up by capital rock awhile back and i got a sweet 3x4 up in the "dust bowl" on the last wknd on oct. 2010! Wish u guys luck this yr 2011

  • I hunted doe on the tejon ranch last year for the junior hunt and my grandpa used to take care of the mountain lion problems up there. These are both awesome bucks.

  • Hello Cauby43 We understand your concerns, as it seems it was a ridgeline shot, however we were very aware of all our surroundings and the backdrop and felt more than comfortable taking that particular shot

  • That looked like a ridge line shot. I wonder if she considered her backstop prior to shooting. The video didn't show the DayCare Center a mile in the distance.

  • Thank yiu drumminghunter, he did take a lot of work and was not on a private ranch, but the end result was worth every step.

  • Thank you. I used a 300 WinMag

  • Congrats! very nice for CA....I also noticed you use Swarovski Optics....the finest money can buy! ALL of my optics are Swarovski! What caliber are you using? Every buck i have ever shot has dropped where he stood.....?

  • Martinez418,

I too have hunted California Deer all my life..and I have seen many deer of this caliber and better. This is certainly a very nice Ca. buck but you either need to get out of your jeep and walk..or learn to hunt better or find a new zone...there are very nice bucks in this state. They just get a lot of pressure and they take a lot of work. Certainly, private ranch bucks are less spooky but they are not stupid. Nice shot Mari..and nice buck.

  • Whats an elk hunt goin for on Tehon nowadays 100 grand haha.

  • Where do these people hunt!! that is BS, i have hunted all my life and never seen Californian deer that huge or for that matter standing that stable or calm looking at you from 50 yards? They must be hunting in private land resorts were you pay$ and the deer are home grown? were's the fun in that! stop abusing the sport LOOSERSS and become real hunters, can stand these artificial hunters and there obsurd resorts. Even a five year old can kill a buck at this resorts. Really fake bs dude....

  • Can anyone recommend a good rifle for a CA deer hunt ? thank you !

  • @yadid 30-06

  • @yadid 7 mag? great hunting rifle for deer and other big game.

  • @yadid i think a .308 would do a great job. i use a 30/06 but that is overkill. i only use it cuz i don't have another deer rifle and you can't hunt deer with a .22-250 (and I would if i was allowed.) my friends and i are tossing around the idea of using a lever action 30/30 with iron sights, but you would want to be really close. where we hunt is the c-4 zone and we stick to the more heavily wooded areas as opposed to the hills and ridgelines in that area. but any .30 caliber rifle should do.

  • Respond to this video... also, i would say to save the $ and just buy a remington 700 in a 30-06 or .308 and spend an equal amount of $ on a good scope. some good brands are.. U.S. optics, Leuopold, Zeiss, and the best of all... Swarovsky.

  • Hey, what if you missed, where do you think that bullet will end up? In the ground or on the other side of the hill?

  • BEAUTIFUL BUCK!

  • im going hunting there at the begining of th buck season

  • poor deer reeee

  • Those are some nice bucks!
