very nice :) though wouldnt it have been cheaper to use sonar what engineers use to track the distance of objects dont really know the actual cost but i saw a electronic measuring tool for 20 quid so asume there only about 5 quid as a component a parreal interface only costs about 4 quid to build so the total cost of the project would be around 15 quid compaired to 2 web cams? and the tracking would be more advanced id have thought

but yeah can see the next generation of laptops being twin screens with no keyboard just a touch display setup with will replace that horrid touch pad rubbish though i dont it will ever replace the mouse on standard computers

The main application of this system is to projected walls, because huge touchscreens are too much expensive. Maybe other hw would have been more accurate, but webcams are probably easier to find than other hardware. Anyway, thank you for the suggestion!
