Research shows that banning guns produces more crime - look at Washington DC during the ban.
More guns => higher chance the criminal will be encountering armed resistance => less crime.

guns are not banned in DC only handguns are. Shotguns and rifles are still legal and many have them in there home including me. Gun violence is by far, by FAR much less in Canada, so its silly you even bring that up
There might be less violent crime in Canada (not by much) but that might have to do with the fact that there aren't as many drug dealing minorities as in US. In Canada 90% of the crime in TO is Jamaican Canadians (incidentally under 1% of the population in TO).
Now, in Canada there is nearly impossible to get a permit for a handgun. Guess what? Most of the criminals have them and commit crime. They know they are unopposed. And Can crime rate keeps increasing while it decreases in US.
Now before the ban in DC has been proven to be anti-constitutional, the highest crime rates in US were in Chicago and DC, incidentally the places with the highest restrictions on gun ownership. Ever since the gun ban has been instituted in DC, the crime rate increased sharply.
Removing this restrictions will ensure that criminals might run into armed opposition.

More guns => higher chance the criminal will be encountering armed resistance => less crime.

guns are not banned in DC only handguns are. Shotguns and rifles are still legal and many have them in there home including me. Gun violence is by far, by FAR much less in Canada, so its silly you even bring that up

There might be less violent crime in Canada (not by much) but that might have to do with the fact that there aren't as many drug dealing minorities as in US. In Canada 90% of the crime in TO is Jamaican Canadians (incidentally under 1% of the population in TO).
Now, in Canada there is nearly impossible to get a permit for a handgun. Guess what? Most of the criminals have them and commit crime. They know they are unopposed. And Can crime rate keeps increasing while it decreases in US.

Now before the ban in DC has been proven to be anti-constitutional, the highest crime rates in US were in Chicago and DC, incidentally the places with the highest restrictions on gun ownership. Ever since the gun ban has been instituted in DC, the crime rate increased sharply.
Removing this restrictions will ensure that criminals might run into armed opposition.
I used to believe banning guns is the best thing ever, but I actually looked at the facts and changed my mind. Now it's your turn.

Her defense of the right to bear arms is pretty shallow. Basically she says everyone can have guns because murderers would have simply used another method of killing had they been denied the choice.
It is a lot harder and riskier to kill someone anonymously with physical contact or a blade than with a gun.
Removing guns from the street would remove the capacity of many criminals to kill without being detected.
The right to bear arms is a ridiculous law. Britain does fine without it.

Now in order for this to be a fair argument let me educate you a bit on what the right to keep and bear arms originally meant when written in the constitution in 1791. This was derived during the American Revolution where the right to bear arms was created that people could PROTECT themselves PHYSICALLY from militia. Do you see how this could possibly be out dated and antiquated? Now a womans right to choose? This was brought about because women were having at home abortions and dying.
