Um I have cows and it wasnt cruel for hte owner to bring his/her cow to sell. It will still bring money for meat and she will be put out of her misery
Maybe standars are bad in certain parts of America (or where ever you are) but the rest of the world has no problem dealing with Mastitis I assure you! It's a short term loss for a long term gain, any farmer worth his weight in gold knows that!

@doggieyo you're obviously not in the beef industry or you would know that slaughter houses don't go to ranches to get their killer cows and railers. they go to the auction barn to buy these types of cows because that's where the ranchers bring them. if the rancher is close enough to a slaughter house, then they might take them direct, but most of them are nowhere near a kill plant. within 24 hours of this video, this cow was dead...that seems pretty humane to me. your ignorance is baffling.

And of course I'm not in the beef industry but why would that mean I have any less idea about I'm talking about? I've been around livestock and have done my research. I know this is an auction. I know this cow was probably killed but that still does not effect my ability to see that this is cruelty.
We had quite a few cows go blind in one eye from infection. This is more common than one would think. Normally one blind eye gets the McDonald's Express.

i live right behind a 'local' livestock auction house....went in there once...so many cows with lots of injuries, many emaciated, but they are usually bought anyways. pretty pathetic of people.
There are no words to aptly convey my horror at the lack of care this cow received in her lifetime on earth. Humans need to remember they are to be good stewards of all the Lord has provided and it does mean good nutrition and medical care to the animals in our care. I have tears in my eyes for this sweet spirit.

Whoever brought this poor girl to the sale needs to be shot in the head! There is no excuse for this type of cruelty. I wonder who purchased her, I sure would have. Bless her heart, you will not be forgotten.
