He could not lose as much weight and just go down to 206 or a little above and still be effective. It would be a huge match up and make tons of money for both fighters and ufc. It would be a bigger match up that a silva/gsp or a silve/fedor fight. I'm hearing they're taling about silva / fedor at light heavy weight.

He has said in interviews that it would be very tough and he would lose a lot of speed, he would rather keep his quickness advantage at hw. why do people say fedors not big he is very poerfully built..just bcz he doesnt have bulging muscles means nothing..all the best fighters have a layer of fat.being too ripped is not good as a fighter. he tense up quicker. fedors shoulder and lats are massive meaning he can punch with more power from the waist. twisting his body into the punches. and putting bulk behind every punch.he has the stamina by the looks of his chest capacity. big forarms are ensential for good fighter.

Agreed, I always laugh when the fedor nuthuggers say he is a natural lhw or mw but fights at hw to challenge himself. He has said himself he probably couldn't make 205. I saw a picture of him face to face with randy and fedor is ALOT thicker than randy. I was really surprised. I thought they were about the same size. He's not tall or ripped but is a big guy. Some guys just carry a little bit of fat.

He has said in interviews that it would be very tough and he would lose a lot of speed, he would rather keep his quickness advantage at hw. His frame is very thick, I saw a picture of him and randy head to head a few years ago (when randy left to fight him) and fedor's frame was a lot bigger. Randy is a fairly large lhw, using an iv to rehydrate after the cut and wrestled at 196 in college over 20 years ago. Just for a little perspective.

Please the reason why the middleweight division is weak is because anderson made a fool of everyone. Fedor has definitely faced more cans in his career then Silva. Irvin is a respected LHW not the best but decent. Griffin is a great fighter mostly because his heart and his hardwork former LHW champ. Griffin did beat Shogun and Rampage and has always fought hard so dont call him a shitty fighter. 3/4s of Fedors record consists of cans and fighters past their prime and thats fact.

@dt089 Don't get me wrong, i'm a huge irvin fan, that guy brings it but he is far from great. He shouldn't have been in w/ a fighter like anderson. It was pretty obvious that the forrest/irvin matches where set up for him to win. Style wise they had almost no chance. It's kind of a trade off, fedor has dominated everyone but is in a weaker division. Anderson has looked like shit in some but is in a very good divison. Personally I think gsp doesn't get enough love for p4p ranking, ww is stacked.

Yeah no doubt when Brock beat herring though that was only his 3rd MMA match ever so he was still learning. Brock needs a little work yet and not to mention hes been fighting at 60% the whole time due to his illness. Thats pretty scary.

Fedor has fought fighters that are "good matchups" for him. Big and Slow. Sylvia, Rogers, Randleman ect ect. Arlovski fast with good striking but hes got glass jaw. Cro Cop a good fighter but he came to the UFC and got worked. Btw Brocks doctors said he was fighting at 60% dont ask me how they figure that out. Its an estimate obviously and hes had this illness for a year and a half or longer.

There is no way to objectively say one is better than the other, only opinion. Pretty much all of my favorite fighters except a few aren't even ranked right now. The matchups I want to see fedor in are in the ufc or unable to get licensed (barnett) and anderson seems bored with 185ers not being on his level.

Fedor is never the bigger fighter. What he does in one word, amazing. The smaller, great submission grappling fighters are the ones that give him the most trouble. You watch his stand, he peppers his opponants with punches. There's one picture when he fought Cro Cop, Fedor throw a head kick to cro cop, Cro cop 6'3Fedor 6'0, the kick barely missed it would have KO'd cro cop. Also he checked a body kick perfectly. pure beauty.

Fedor has good kicks, not his strongest asset, If he landed that kick he would knocked out cro cop. To be great like fedor, you have to be able to use your feet, legs as well as the hands.
