  • Krispy Kreme tastes terrible, I feel bad for all of those people waiting in line to be disappointed. :<

  • Schmucks!

  • i would wait in line for a doughnut too if it was the first one not filled with godamn curry

  • I tried a krispy kreme, it tasted jjust like a normal doughnut...whats so special about it?!?!?!?!!??!!?

  • hhahahaha have well that not suprise me the line for buying tortillas in mexico is more bigger than this really and is EVERYDAY!! ahaha

  • Hahaha, well Krispy Kreme I think is worth the line. xP

  • I went to this location (by accident) when I was in Tokyo recently (yes, I kept my eye out for you TokyoCooney, but alas I didn't run into you) and during the day there was no line, but later at night (just as the sun was setting) I noticed that there were indeed people lined up out the door--I just didn't know what to say.

  • That is a freakin' long line.

  • MurdocC yes he did and the wii ***** you hear me I will repeat myself the wii *****.

Thank you it's final no comment

  • I can see why they would wait that long if there was hype about something, but it's still pretty damn funny.

  • I know ay! When Krispy Kreme first came to australia you should of seen the line!

  • Omg! Did u just compare Wii to a doughnut!? Oh no u didnt! Watch ur mouth Kevin.

  • Hell yeah. I mean they were eating the doughnuts with beans and cury in them and I bet that probably wasn't working out so well so Krispy Kreme fixed all that. I agree Krispy Kreme really isn't that good either, useually the best doughnut shops are the ones that aren't affiliated with anyone. Ironicly my local shop is just called "Donuts" with a yellow light up sign and is run by a Japanese family and it's better than both Krispy and Duncan.

  • @chronicleone Yeah, the little mom and pop shops/bakeries usually have the best stuff, ya know? :)

  • I am shocked and curious on why they'd wait so long for doughnuts, I mean they are good but still... a new game system makes more sense but it's whatever they want to do, I wish I could be that patient for food. XD

  • @FelineFantsy there isn' t that many donut shop here. but i guess the reason they wait in line for anything new ( or anything that came out on the news) is because they r looking for some happiness in life. they look for cheap thrills.

  • I guess it's quite sad for all those people waiting for that "stuff" .. I was at Kochigaya last year when KK opened up another store there and the line was stupidly long... They remain weird people...

  • Comment removed

  • After watching video 3 (or was it 2?), I imagine the Japanese would be quite surprised to find that these donuts don't have beans or curry in the centers.

  • omg, do they not have anything better to do?? lol

  • well, i think is real cool how they are genuinely interested in other culture.

  • I use to run a Donut shop & believe me i've seen so line for donuts, but never that long. WOW!!!

  • Oh my god... that is fscking sad. Though I have to concede to the fact that their doughnuts are pretty good. But then, how would the Japanese know that? Hmm

  • There was still a sizable line when I went there a couple months back. I didn't bother, too busy exploring. Baskin Robbins is pretty popular there too.

  • People dont use

    tape very much

nowadays, they use solid state memory cards or hard disk drives.

  • is your keyboard broken?

  • Japanese Windows Language Mode in the Regional and Language options in Control Panel.

    (^_^)

  • hahaha, nice! I might try that one day.

  • hahhaa

  • HA! Good thing the hot doughnut light wasn't on, then the line would've been three times as long. ^_^

  • such a huge line for doughnuts?!?

oh..wait..in my country in the old days (communism )you had to stand in line for milk

  • Holy crap, if i had to in that line for a donut...i'd be wanting a Nintendo Wii with that!

  • Kevin, did you know there is a New York Donut Plant outlet in Shiodome? Much better than both Mister Donut and KK in my opinion, and way better coffee. It's next door to the Ampan Man store.

  • Man, I swear I was sitting in the Takeshimya Times Square department store on the restaurant floor which is across the street from that actual KK donut shop, It was absolutely hammering with rain and people were standing in line for at least half an hour to buy donuts. Now don't get me wrong donuts are nice but would I que for half an hour in the rain to get them? would I ***k!!

  • brilliant!

  • I was thinking like some american made electronic or something like. But you said donut I just laughed my ass off.

  • Same thing happened here in Puerto Rico when KK opened their first location last year. ^^;

  • I think they're gonna open one in Old San Juan!

  • Wish they'd open one here in the west.

  • hot now!

  • : )

  • Krispy Kreme is amazing. Totally worth it.

  • all because of donut ? lol

  • Dunkin' Donuts should go there ... . No competition from Mr. Donut, their donuts stink.

  • no go with the doughnut cause the wii sucks. lmao

  • My Brother would make the Line for the the Wii... but Ill Go for the Donut Anyday!!! ^_____^

  • ROFL if i was there i would probably just fall on the ground laughing XD

  • Krispy Kreme. Started in Winston-Salem NC, just like me...shit.

  • same thing happened when krispy kreme came to australia. haha

    i dont see why either.

i wanan live in japan! i dont speak japanses though... yet...

  • ... that is awesome.

  • i think i will go get some from tesco

  • Yeah! there's krispy kreme in tokyo!

Ah, now i can sleep with ease. But a last, there is no Taco Bell ): I'll have to eat a hundred of them before i go.

  • Hahahaha oh man I remember that! That must have been 2007, because I remember going to Shinjuku the day after that opened, and being utterly floored by the line there. I seriously saw at least 10 poeple in my train car goign home with krispy creme bags. The usually bought at least 2 dozen.

  • You know you're from NY/NJ when you say "on line" rather than "in line" :)

  • Lol, the things they w8 in line 4...

  • i seriously think they sprinkle crack on their donuts coz once you have one you just want to have more

  • Hahaha Ivebeen there. The Krispie Kreme near the Tokyu Hands. And sure enough, ppl were waiting in line. I found it while getting lost in Shinjuku looking for shinjuku koen

  • It's funny because in Texas, or rather the U.S as a whole, you drive by a Krispy Kreme donut store and there's maybe 10 cars in the parking lot.

It does make me feel better how they are so obsessed with some american products ^_^

  • they opened a krispy Kreme like a month ago her in PR(puerto rico) when i saw this video it was like Deja vu

  • i want some now... i think ill tell my mom to buy a box.

  • haha its funny because i live in puerto rico (the caribbean) and they opened up a krispy kreme here like 4 months ago and the line was as big as that one and after 4 months it's still like that and its hard to get a krispy kreme! i haven't eaten one over here... so i went to vegas and ate 2 dozen to satisfy my needs and not wait in a line for more than 2 hours...^^

  • I know, Clari! Now I'm jealous you ate that many, even though you gained like 10 lbs.

    LMAO!

I guess we're not the only ones crazy about or "new" Krispy Kreme.

  • our*

  • bitch! i didnt gain 10 pounds... i actually stayed in the same weight cause i EXERCISE.... ^^ :P

  • Oh, come on! You did none of that until after you came back you guilty fatass!

    LMAO!

    I love you, bitch.

    <3

Let's go ride a bike or something.

    XD

  • butch you can't even fit in your school pants! haha! i can >p *its suppose to be a mean smily* lov ya

  • Your school pants aren't even from school, Clarianne.

    :)

    ^

    .

    .

    .

    .

That's a smile! That's a smile! Now, everyone, thumb us down!

  • m gonna bitchslap you so hard!

  • Looool.

All I have to say is wtf. xD

  • Lol.

  • It is official... Krispy Kream has the best donuts in the world! <3

But tell me something... Was this line during the "cold" hours or was it when the "Hot" sign was lit? Because we all know that long lines form more quickly for fresh-out-of-the-oven donuts!!

  • You do such amazing work! Thank you for taking time out to show us all these wonderful things. Please dont stop!!! You keep me going!

    Sincerely, Fan 203 :)

  • LOL!

  • Don't you just hate long lines.

  • oh, i heard about this! They also had Cinabon and the cheese cake factory there and it started off as a huge thing but the cheese cake factory i heard wasn't very successful so it closed down.. how about krispy kreme and cinabon?

  • i wonder what would happen if you slipped in the line toward the middle :D

  • i ttly agree with u best believe i would be in that line for the doughnut with my fat ass lol

  • OMG that long line for Krispy Kream?! Wow, they are good but jeez...

  • do they taste more like the the USA or different

  • Dough nuts, but not just any dough nut... the all mighty Krispy Kreme... Behold the god of the dough nut world... it is still crazy as hell that everyone and their mom would wait in line for Krispy Kreme... but then I remember the halo 3 release... and the day after thanks giving sales...

  • Thats it im sold, i love japan now, it has everything great, and cant wait to move lol looks like you finally dont have to worry about curry filled in KK!!!

  • Krispy Kreme doesn't have any branches in my state, I had some once, but only because a friend of mine brought some across state lines, and yet they have them over in Japan! Still Krispy Kreme donuts are pretty awesome.

  • lolol its really like the same vid xDDD

  • I agree with audiomuse.

I feel as if im actually in tokyo when im watching these videos. Keep them up man, these things are insane!!

  • You videos are so damn interesting!

you capture to culture so well, I feel like I'm in Tokyo with you when I watch these.

Also, that's crazy, everyone waiting around for a doughnut... but I doubt they will like it, maybe to sweet for Asian tastes

    -Fellow America

  • hahaha wow, damn

  • i hope they dont get fat eating those dougnuts

  • LOL! I know! I don't want to finally go to japan one day and for all the women to be obese...

  • You want it to turn into a festering shithole?

  • i meant to say i don't want it to turn into another America....

  • Oh, thats ok then.

  • Who in the world would even compare a Krispy Kreme to a Dunkin Donut? I am diehard KK shmuck if you want to call me that. I live where KK started and that is the only donut I will eat. Lemon filled and raspberries are numero uno and the glazed!

  • looks like wen krispy kreme came to canada, horrible, they dont get a whole lot of buisness here now tho...

  • OMG! Donuts!? There was in no way on God's good green earth that would have enabled me to foresee such a thing. An everyday thing that I take for granted over here is something they wait in line over there. Wow...

  • Gah, Mister Donuts no hou ga ICHIBAN II. I don't know why people waste their lives away waiting for crispy creme.

  • But krispy creme doughnuts are so good, but waiting in line

  • What is it America makes that would inspire

"Americans" to wait countless hours in line?

    DOUGHNUTS!!!

When they opened a new store in Dallas, TX, when I lived there, people just blindly followed others to this joint drawn like moths to a porch light. Oh my God, you wouldn't believe how many cars were lined up in circles around the place for weeks on end! And this was to just get a dozen glazed doughnuts and coffee. Only ONE word could accurately describe them..... SCHMUCKS!!

  • On my comment below I meant Emo and Screamo suck ass but bands like the Eagles, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus, and Red Hot Chili Peppers are really good bands. fyi Limp Bizkit and Avenged Sevenfold suck.

  • Takashimaya!!! that's my hang out. its soo crazy there since that place pened in december its been like that

  • whoops i accidently rated this 2 stars. my mistake. i did that

  • Heh, wait till they get Dunkin' Donuts!

  • When KK came to Canada, i waited in line too just because everyone was. People camped out and kids skipped school. Now the KK is going bankrupt and its been only around 2 years since it opened.

  • What the fuck is wrong with people? Donuts. -_-

  • America has influence Japan since the 50s, music movies, etc, actors do commercials there, getting piad 2 million for a days work. why? They know the majority of the market and how Japanese go for anything cool and trendy from American. With the information age, Japan is just barely catching up on influecing us.

  • whoa...

lol i bought my Wii on february because i didint wanted to do lines jajaja

So yeah, we dont have krispy Kremes here, my friends tell me is awesome but this is a bit too much...

  • I stood online for a Nintendo Wii =[

  • Hey i just wanna ask, how much does it cost for housing in japan?

  • depends on where, but Tokyo is comperable to NYC prices

  • I have heard that Krispy Kreme was was comming to Japan, my first thought was "Great! Now hopefully those bastards will start becoming fat"...

Anyways, I also heard that in Mcdonalds they now have a burger that has 4 patties. The mega-mac... o.0 Thinking about it already clogs my arteries.

  • yeah, the megamac is selling so well that McD had to put a daily cap on the number of mega macs they sell so they dont run out. I also just read today that Burger King is coming to japan this year... BOOO YAHHHHH!!!

  • the same thing happend when they opened up one near my house...there were cops and everything for the first 3 weeks...then the adkins diet came and now there struggling for business...

  • Hey, I just found these videos of yours. I even subscribed, and I've never subscribed to anything on youtube! But, I enjoy your Life In Tokyo segments, so I took the plunge.

  • I don't find it so outrageous tbh. We just got Krispy Kreme here in Melbourne and at first the waits were around 3 hours+. I waited in the drive through line for just over an hour for some, but hey it was just a fad type thing, now the queue is like 10 minutes max but no one goes because it's not popular anymore.

  • xD; Aw snap. I love my Krispy Kremes but holy crap! Interesting to see the comparison to us. Is it like that for American items/products only? Or anything new?

xD Damn didn't view this until around 500 views AGAIN. I'm slow lately.

    Keep it up :D

  • Just to clarify, Japanese people don't mind waiting in line. Patience is part of their culture, even inherent in their religion(s). I have known Japanese people to line up outside of the best restaurants for hours on end, just because they have heard it was great food. I just wanted to illustrate that it is not necessarily that they love Krispy Kreme so much they would wait it out, they probably just wanted to try something brand new coming from America - and don't mind waiting in line to do so.

  • This is very true.

  • People always talk about how much Japan has influenced the U.S.A and make fun of kids in highschool who take Japanese and wear Japanese clothes and drink Japanese drinks calling them "posers" when they don't realize how much we have influenced the Japanese. I can't even count how many young Japanese kids I say wearing Pink Floyd shirts, even though they have never even listened to the band...

    Cool video.

  • you insult pink floyd... :O pink floyd are english!!! lol...

  • Yes they are english but I meant that pink floyd was an icon among American culture. I wasn't saying that Pink Floyd was something that came from America, I just meant that it is something that is was and is still big in America; maybe even more so than it is currently in the UK...course' I don't know I don't live there.

  • Shiadon Pink Flyod are from England ok you know the U.K. so um I think the english have influenced them with rock and roll. But Americans have influnced them in other dumber things like Emo and Screamo not something to be proud of but hey at least we produced the Eagles, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and a few other rock bands that the Japanese would die for.

  • Yeah, I know they're from England. When I said the U.S.A influnced them I really meant western civilization. Oh and your right about all those bands. The "Pink Floyd shirt" was a bad example.

  • The krispy Kreme in my town barely had any customers so it was shut down, seeing this made me laugh

  • omg that is crazy, who would a thought doughnuts were so important, yo have to wait ages like s schmuck! quite strange

  • wow thats crazy, but, i guess its not that big of a suprise, a new food that everyone likes thats huge in america...

  • Okay, okay, so I own two Japanese cars and several Japanese TVs... but they did lose the war, dude! Let them eat cake.

  • Krispy Kreme was kind of a big deal when they first started popping up around here in LA too - just not to THAT extreme. I'll have to admit, tho - it doesn't get much better than a yummy morsel of tasty pastry. I oughta tape and upload my local bakery as well.

  • krispy kreme doughnuts went bankrupt in new mexico or maybe in the entire west area of the country casue yea i havent herd anythign about it in years

  • is it donut dependence clasified as a drug habit?

those can´t be that good, are they?

but, what do i know? i don´t eat donuts, i never had.

btw, i´m waiting for that food topic vlog. i´m sure that it´s gonna be great

  • Actually food will have to be several vlogs. There is just too much to cover.

  • It was the same way here for Krispy Kreme... except americans were sitting in there cars waiting =P I like donut holes and KK never made them until recently, and they aren't good like the rest of their donuts for some reason. As far as line cutters... they don't have them, only we are jerky enough to do something so weak as cut in line. Plus they have those cool uniformed line guards!! I saw one of those guys directing traffic in a parking lot of a Home & Garden store over there!!!

  • Those guys are awsome. I actually asked one of them once at a baseball game what he would do if there was a problem and he pointed to his radio and said "Report it... immediately!"

  • well, i understand why it must be a guard to prevent any attemp on such thing as a baseball game or any event that call for a crowd like that, but for donuts?

japanese people loves their sweets i guess

  • Ur kidding me...I hate krispy creme donuts, there way to sweet for me...

  • mmmm.... donutness

  • Wow, those are some hardcore donut fans. How do teh Japanese sit with line cutters. Would they stand for it, or would they just pretend it never happend?

  • Honestly I almost never see a Japanese person attempt a line cut. But they actually had guards to prevent such a thing. But, while many Japanese will say nothing, there is always one who will.

  • i am just surprised every time i watch one of these Cooney Thanks!

  • at least they aren't shooting each other for a spot in line

  • ah japanese people and their donuts

  • it was as insane here in Montreal when Krispy Kreme first opened, but now they're pretty much dead...Tim Hortons rules in Canada...thanks for your videos!!

  • Actually I was surprised... I looked at one of the other videos about Tokyo Krispy Kreme. Evidentally the shop has been open since December 15th... I can't imagine what it was like when it really had just opened.

  • that is insane, just for krispy kreme donuts.

  • Wow. That line is crazy. Coincidentally I just returned from Krispy Kreme. But I think I drove through the wrong one cause my donuts are stale !@#$

  • I personally don't think Krispy Kreme is that good enough to wait for... the Wii I can kind of understand... but I mean... you eat a dough nut in like 5 minutes max...

  • wow, now i really want a krispy kreme donut

  • daaaamm they must love that Crispy creme

    good video mate

  • the Donut's must be really good...

  • they should have crispy creme donuts in england

  • i'm sure the japanese put their own special touch on crispy creme donuts, maybe putting animal parts or somthing weird in the donuts?

  • I only wish... I actually might have waited on line if their had been sea urchin flavored creme in them or something, but no... just regular donuts.

  • just like that cow tonge flavored icecream that you ate last time?

  • Hey Cooney, how come you didn't grab a doughnut for the sake of your viewers lol ?I'd like to know what kind of krispy kreme doughnuts they have there.

  • i would queue for a crispy creme...that makes me sound like a fat guy.

and i've posted a comment within, 10 minutes of the video being uploaded. i think i should get a job!

    as always mr.cooney, good work.

    chris

  • meh i posted in 35 minutes

  • Definitly deserve a speed record... if only I could pay you for it.
