Why does everyone play like a damn noob. Stop being so protective. Blast the shit out of him with magic and have him staggered within a few rounds. Then rape him.

I don't know how to stagger the boss, it keeps dropping back down to 100.00 after doing chain attacks.
I used Yin and Yang (Lighting being Ravager and Hope being Medic). It took me about 30 minutes... takes for freaking ever!!!! I got him down to about 1/50th of his health when Hope healed himself right as the fucker bodyslammed me. I also found out using Odin when this guy is in Water form takes about 1/4 of this health if you use it correctly.
@vyseskies i liked it, the characters had emotion unlike in 12, plus they didn't sound like they were talking into tin cans like they did in 12 lol not as good as X but it's still a great game so far. Sazh is awesome
Wasn't hard, buff up so his roflcopter won't damage you as much. Heal and switch to full Blaster to get to his stagger point, as soon as he changes elementen switch to Yin&Yang. Repeat till buffs run out.
Oh and summon Odin when his weakness is lightning (make sure you use Libra)

I just kept using the L - Ravenger and H - Medic combination until it had about a quarter health left. Then I waited for it to change it's elemental weakness to lightning and then I went Odin on his ass. Took me just one try to kill him with this combination....After 50 tries with others >.>
Whew~!! took me 12 tries but I finally pwned it's crazy ass. And I forgot to use Odin too. Geezzz it was a crazy ass endurance fight. Glad it's over.

Just beat this pokemon without libra or odin, Just use items for instant support spells before you enter battle like protect, veil, shell, bravery, faith etc. You'll take him down within his first stagger.
zomg this boss took me 20 minutes to kill. every time i healed up i would be dropped to red again so i was basically stuck on commando/ravager and medic combo
i love this game! the battle system is a little funky but besides that its my favorite FF game. i hope versus will be better tho because i like the KH battle system better so cant wait for versus lol.
@NeaMariette yeh if you keep running past everything your gonna find it mega hard later on, if you fight everything on the way you'll just about be able to kill most bosses
ok one question. When he does the spin attack, he takes out both lighting and hopes health down to at least 100. How do you increase health besides the crystarium. Accesories or something?
I used the slow but worthwhile process. All I did was make sure Hope is a level 2 Medic then right when the battle starts I have Lightning as a Commando and Hope use Medic (War and Peace Paradigm). Throughout it, I would just have Lightning hit him with a level 4 Gladius while Hope heals both of us during. Hope does well as a Medic as he heals you almost instantly either of you are hurt. It is a slow process, and I only got two stars from it, but it is worth it if you want to beat him.
FML, that deformed looking insect killed me over 4 times, THAT NEVER HAPPENS TO ME! Light and Hope don't have that much HP, what the hell am I supposed to do?!
Haha I screwed up so badly on this boss... took me I think 14 minutes to beat him..? XD I stopped caring about trying to make him stagger at the 6 minute mark and just started slowly chipping at his health... It worked though! =D
ok guys heres a tip for beating him, first i used archamage which deflects and cast shell and relflective spells of his elemant type the i used slash and burn and double dose when needed , when he throws stuff and thrashes also i used pheniox downs, where needed and also odin when he got to 14000
You guys for real? I beat this guy the first time... without useing Odin. This person actually got it easy, because Hope was the Medic in this video. Lighting can only be the medic on the X-Box 360... so you had to switch back and forth a couple times. I do not know about the PS3 though.

keep switching between those two, and you'll build up a chain fairly quickly on bulbasaur...once the chain has run out, just repeat until he's chained again, and summon odin...took me about 6-7 minutes to beat him this way...be sure to use libra, it helps a ton. good luck
that spinning attack gets me killed everytime even with odin i can only get the over grown plant down to just under 1/2 hp. hope is useless, he dies every 5 secs using up all my pheonix downs leaving me with no way of healing.
Keep attacking with 1. until you first get hit, then switch to 4. untill you have your shields set up which will boost your defence then switch between 1. and 2.
@robotrhys Adding onto Robotrhys comment, If your having trouble getting up the Stagger Bar. Then make another Paradigm Shift.
1. L - Commando - H - Ravager
2. L - Medic - H - Medic
3. L - Commando - H - Synergist
4. L - Medic - H - Synergist
5. L - Ravager H - Ravager (The one i have added)
Continuing on from Robotrhys comment. Keep switching from 1-5-1-5-1-5-1 until it hits you until around Half HP, If you stay around half HP his spinny whip attack thing could 1 shot you

that thing looks like something from kindgom hearts...didnt the guys who worked on kh2 work on ff13 as well? (i know they are both made by square enix)
@consumev you may not know this but final fantasy is initially a square production, before the collaboration of both square and enix, so its my guess that kh is more of an enix brainchild, I believe square has most of the pull with FF production.
I got it down to where the green was barely visible on his health bar and somehow, Im not sure how, but he SOMEHOW managed to knock hope out, and while I was reviving hope, he knocks Lightning out.
well i dont see how this boss is so hard :S I didnt even use odin, use libra and also use protect on your allies bcuz that boss is using heavy psychical attacks
for some reason i had actually had no prob beating this bastard.. just make sure light libra the buastard first, and let hope cast magic resistance(barthunder, etc) or to himself and light to reduce the damage. suggest to use double potion acc. and use dualcasting in order to get the bastard to stagger. after that, relentless attack (commando and ravager), cause light's damage is freakin high...and odin is not necessary actually, just gotta be fast in changin the paradigm shift and potions
beat this guy after 2 tries, first try was epic fail:P but i got a cycle going, started with supersoldier, got both characters buffed up. Then went War And Peace until both my characters were up to at least 3/4 of their health then went duel casting, when health drops, switch back and so on. This should get the multiplier up, P.S Launch helps ALOT:) hope this helps
just beat him without odin. A few tips for some people who are having trouble are: 1. Straight at the start i would reccomened the supersoldier padagrim so light can get shell straight away
2. USE WAR AND PEACE FOR THE DURATION OF THE BATTLE!!! + if light and hopes life drop to far just use a poition
3. Use libra and switch to dualcasting as soon as he changes but dont stay on it for too long - Hope these tips help guys

that spinning attack gets me killed everytime even with odin i can only get the over grown plant down to just under 1/2 hp. hope is useless, he dies every 5 secs using up all my pheonix downs leaving me with no way of healing.

i tend to:
Lightning - Commandor
Hope - synergist
to start with, then once some HP is down i swift to
Lightning - Commandor
Hope - Medic
Once fully healed i switch
Lightning - Ravager
Hope - Ravager
repeat and the boss should go down easily :D

just a tip for you guys:
Have these 4 paradigms available:
1. L - Commando - H - Ravager
2. L - Medic - H - Medic
3. L - Commando - H - Synergist
4. L - Medic - H - Synergist
Keep attacking with 1. until you first get hit, then switch to 4. untill you have your shields set up which will boost your defence then switch between 1. and 2.
When your shields disappear switch to 3.
Then keep switching between 1. and 2.

1. L - Commando - H - Ravager

Continuing on from Robotrhys comment. Keep switching from 1-5-1-5-1-5-1 until it hits you until around Half HP, If you stay around half HP his spinny whip attack thing could 1 shot you

@consumev you may not know this but final fantasy is initially a square production, before the collaboration of both square and enix, so its my guess that kh is more of an enix brainchild, I believe square has most of the pull with FF production.

I got it down to where the green was barely visible on his health bar and somehow, Im not sure how, but he SOMEHOW managed to knock hope out, and while I was reviving hope, he knocks Lightning out.

for some reason i had actually had no prob beating this bastard.. just make sure light libra the buastard first, and let hope cast magic resistance(barthunder, etc) or to himself and light to reduce the damage. suggest to use double potion acc. and use dualcasting in order to get the bastard to stagger. after that, relentless attack (commando and ravager), cause light's damage is freakin high...and odin is not necessary actually, just gotta be fast in changin the paradigm shift and potions

beat this guy after 2 tries, first try was epic fail:P but i got a cycle going, started with supersoldier, got both characters buffed up. Then went War And Peace until both my characters were up to at least 3/4 of their health then went duel casting, when health drops, switch back and so on. This should get the multiplier up, P.S Launch helps ALOT:) hope this helps

just beat him without odin. A few tips for some people who are having trouble are: 1. Straight at the start i would reccomened the supersoldier padagrim so light can get shell straight away
2. USE WAR AND PEACE FOR THE DURATION OF THE BATTLE!!! + if light and hopes life drop to far just use a poition
3. Use libra and switch to dualcasting as soon as he changes but dont stay on it for too long - Hope these tips help guys
