Having watched the videos of TK, Deyi and Bowen, I still feel that TK is not far behind. TK bagged the title of the Best Display Band for many years too. The experience they have can't be denied. We are certain that during the next SYF Display Band Competition, TK Band will surprise the crowd, leaving everyone with goosebumps and our jaws dropped. I think this year, Bowen has set the benchmark for all other marching bands in Singapore to follow...

TK band is good and well deserving of the gold. But when you look in detail the marching, movements etc, you'll see that they are untidy compared to the other GWH bands.

@leeq yeah TKBAND standard indeed dropped. But that was due to the changes in the marching style I guess? It was new and it isn't easy for them to get use to it.

i think they spent more time practising on siniging then working on their marching, formations and dressings. TSK TSK. *no wonder standard dropped* AHEMS. :P

singing part. spine chilling. gives me goosebumps.

i'm just disappointed by the precision gimmick and drill execution.

plus i didn't like the walking. they should have had more marching. it will give them more slickness that tkband has. but nevertheless well done! :D

somehow i miss the classy tkband back in 2002&2004, when i was a student in tk. i remembered how i cheered, screamed and shed tears of joy when tkband was awarded the best display band and best drum major

those were the times whr no much gimmicks were used. just pure quality music which owned the whole competition. if only someone would put a halt to using those flags&streamers&what-have-u

nevertheless, a job well done tkband! u WILL clinch those awards in 2012!

agree much with your comment. probably one day, the flags and everything would become the main focu. the competition criteria is getting way out of the initial aim for this competition.

@chickynugget We( tk band members. Yes. I am one of them) loved that too, but, we were simply defeated by what didn't exist in the past, which were the gimmicks and all. OUr music was kinda epic, though. So we kinda have a WIN at music, but not quite a WIN at gimmicks and all....
