I honestly don't think opening of federal lands to drill is a long term solution. Not even an immediate short term solution. It takes time just to haul all the necessary crap to a location that you know for a fact has oil. Then once your set up, start drilling. That takes time as well. This stuff just isn't a couple of feet down. You just don't poke a hole in the ground and you have oil the next day. It would take months possibly a year before any effect would be seen in a price drop. Idiots
