They DO multiply that fast.

What grain do you use in the .243? They sure don't mess the meat up much do they? You wouldn't have to worry about that, though, if you take them all like this. Excellent shot, great video.
i shoot a .243 and i use 95 grain in ballistic tip and 100 grain nosler partition tips for big game. And when it comes to coyotes and foxes i use 55 grain.
Whats the fps on those 55 grain? I've never shot anything that light, but I imagine they would hustle. You'd have to hit a very vulnerable spot with those, wouldn't you? i shot one in argentina. But it was a russian boar. They are extremly tough so the guide said i should not use my 243 but use his 375 so i did. When i shot the pig it was running and i hit it in the neck. I blew a hole a foot wide and a foot tall in him

first time hunting you are probably going to be best off with a 243 or a 30-30. for deer hog antelope or otherwise. 30/30 is best for short ranges. id suggest "federalPreimiums" nosler-partition. a well proven design. knives really depend on you. i personally prefer the heavier knives to keep good control with. you can get the guns at any academy or wally-world. and i suggest going to a basspro or a cabelas for your scope/ammo/knife. ask the experts at the store aswell

How is it bad for the environment? Game animals are typically overpopulated game that are dangerous to the environment. Wild Hogs are EXTREMELY dangerous to the local environment and basically destroy all wildlife in a local community.

USA+ Shooting mother hogs and letting the smaller run away = BIG PROBLEM! More injuries at farms, more hogs get pregnant because the big mother hog push the male hogs away, when she is gone...BOOM! They are feral pigs. They are killing farmers' way of life. They root out food and allow other invasive species to grow. They carry disease. They out-compete indigineous wildlife for food and habitat. The more you can kill my man the better! Keep that .243 lead flying!

@rolexr it's weird, you can get pretty close to wild hogs, even if they see you, I've been within this distance a few times by accident, just walked up on them, not even trying to be quiet and once I walked right up to one on a dirt road, within 25 feet.

@lexmark136 I can't help but agree with you! Wouldn't it be great to be able to hunt them year round, with no need for a license, and know you were helping with a problem?? I've ate them, and done right (properly cleaned and handled) they taste fabulous! They are the best meat to mix with venison or whatever to make the very best sausage. Could be considered a good problem.

I am proud to call myself a professional environmental manager, I actively seek out sporting shooters and if they are accurate enough on the range they are more than welcome to shoot pigs any time they want to on land I manage. They are more aware of nature than 99% of so called "greenies".... And if they get a deer always offer me some of the best and freshest meat you can get!!!

That was a feral hog. An educated environmentalist ought to know that feral hogs are invasive. They are dangerous and destructive to the ecosystems they inhabit, including threatening extinction to indigenous species of flora and fauna.
Feral hogs are not natural; they were the result of cross breeding of wild boar with domesticated pigs.
The best solution to the feral hog problem: hunt them all down.

@skooteroo Hogs are insanely overpopulated. In texas, especially. Texas Fish and Game conducted a farmland 'thinning' of hogs to help reduce the destruction of these feral pigs. They took very skilled pilots and proffesional sharpshooters from the CMP. In 2 weeks, they killed hundreds of thousands of pigs. 6 months later, there was no difference in the number of wild pigs. They DO multiply that fast.

Even if they were hunting all day and all night, it would be 595 pigs an HOUR. Almost ten pigs a minute, every minute, for two weeks. Not fucking likely. Did they tell you that story while you were riding to school in the short bus???

What grain do you use in the .243? They sure don't mess the meat up much do they? You wouldn't have to worry about that, though, if you take them all like this. Excellent shot, great video.

i shoot a .243 and i use 95 grain in ballistic tip and 100 grain nosler partition tips for big game. And when it comes to coyotes and foxes i use 55 grain.

Whats the fps on those 55 grain? I've never shot anything that light, but I imagine they would hustle. You'd have to hit a very vulnerable spot with those, wouldn't you? I can't see them making much of a hole going in, or coming out. Keep making those videos. Haven't seen much from hogdude lately. Is he taking a break, or just too busy hunting?

i shot one in argentina. But it was a russian boar. They are extremly tough so the guide said i should not use my 243 but use his 375 so i did. When i shot the pig it was running and i hit it in the neck. I blew a hole a foot wide and a foot tall in him

most of the hog hunters in the us hunt them because they cause problems and they can also become very dangerous if they are left to repopulate. they dig up plants and small trees along creeks and rivers causing farmers land to be washed away. not to mention they will kill livestock and family pets. id say they got it comin. humans are animals to. nobody bitches when other animals protect what is thiers!

from the looks of it probably summer. texas is a wonderful place for hog hunting especially when we are almost over run by them. we have to put steet signs because they are almost as bad as hitting deer.

Hunters help regulate any overpopulation of deer, gophers, wild pigs, etc.

first time hunting you are probably going to be best off with a 243 or a 30-30. for deer hog antelope or otherwise. 30/30 is best for short ranges. id suggest "federalPreimiums" nosler-partition. a well proven design. knives really depend on you. i personally prefer the heavier knives to keep good control with. you can get the guns at any academy or wally-world. and i suggest going to a basspro or a cabelas for your scope/ammo/knife. ask the experts at the store aswell

i'm not the vid poster, but I'm headed out this season with a .243 and 95gr. Nosler Combined technology handloads. 42.3gr HMR4350, CCI large primers. great load, great bullet.
