"infertile couples" - I have heard this kind of argumentation before. This is like less than 1% of hetero couples. I would not be making this 1% corner case as the base from which to argue, but the gay community has no qualms about this kind of fake reasoning.
The norm is fertile hetero couples. That is the reference point, not the corner cases. The fact remains that no gay couple is naturally fertile, and using an infertile couple to equate them is trickery and treachery.

I am not opposed to gay people living together. I am opposed to them hijacking the word marriage and then trying to retroactively redefine it to mean something different from what its meant for centuries, which is a MAN and a WOMAN. Gays can form "civil unions" which for all practical purposes is the same thing, but it does not connote the religious imagery and remains a distinct concept from traditional marriage.

The central idea of marriage is the celebration and sanctification (in whatever way you concieve this) of the union of man and woman in a naturally reproductive relationship. There are exceptions but as a rule these are not deliberate exceptions.

The central idea of marriage is the celebration and sanctification (in whatever way you concieve this) of the union of man and woman in a naturally reproductive relationship. There are exceptions but as a rule these are not deliberate exceptions.
