  • the truck driver got a free ride going right lol

  • Like a good neighbor, State Farm is their.

  • @DionJoseph there...dumbass

  • Notice how the corsica wouldn't move until after the truck got hit, then it pulled up

  • @bignarant your wrong dude it all depends on the material of the vehicle if it is metal to composites obvious answer is metal will win there is a video of garbage truck which derails the train because it is made of metal so it don't mean train will always win it means the stronger material will win whether if it's a tank or a train it don't matter so yeah

  • I happened to go by the location where this happened, and this will no longer happen because the crossing is actually gone. BUT, considering that trucker is an idiot, he could barely fit into any part of the intersection. Solution: GO A DIFFERENT WAY. AVOID RAILROAD TRACKS. lol.

  • Bottom line- STUPID TRUCKER. THE END.

  • Norfolk Southern for the win!

  • notice the BLACK train is picking on the WHITE truck? hmm... I think it was a RACIST train! :P

  • I laugh at the people who say the train should have stopped. These people are obviously numb in the head, as to realize your dealing with forces that way exceed 4000 tons. Stopping a train at 40 m.p.h would take about a mile or a mile and half to stop. Learn physics people!

  • @moldraxian Mile and a half? Learn physics.

  • @charlieb640 he's actually right...

  • i dont know man, that truck it putting up a good effort of hanging on.

  • heh trucker is most likely in jail... how many charges can you spot... destruction of private property, criminal neg..., creating public safety hazard..., maybe more.... remember railroad interferance is a federal felony... oops

  • Wheres Hancock when you need him?

  • Trucks never win

  • petty truck...

  • Replacement knuckle coupler and air hose - $850

New block signal and wiring - $7,500

    Maintenance of Way overtime - 80 hours @ $35/hour.

Getting another truck off the road - priceless.

There are some things that money can't buy.

For everything else, there's MasterCard. :O)

  • That is a scary looking truck. but it's even more scary that a train literally carries it away like a shark on a fish.

  • damn the truck owned the crossing signal and railroad signal. i believe the engine was a sd60

  • @11254cdk wrong d8-40 not a sd60

  • That truck driver should pay for "all" of the damage incurred by his dim-witted bravado.

  • @myConscious the dumbass train driver should pay for all of that he was going slow enough he could have stopped.

  • @Semitruckman101 it still takes a while for a train to stop. at 5mph it can take it atleast 1 minute to stop. Notice this happens less then 10 seconds. A train cannot stop 55 seconds less that easily. Trains dont have car brakes.

  • @MrCSXboy98 NO SHIT DUMBASS

  • @Semitruckman101 Then why blame the Enginer?

  • @Semitruckman101 You're just mad because that train totally pwned that wimpy truck. Real men drive trains.

  • @tehatemachine I honestly don't care, as long as both the engineer and the driver of the truck was ok.

  • @Semitruckman101 I guess its now become apparent to you that a loaded manifest train cannot stop on a dime. The average freight in America is around 4000 tons in weight. Apparently this train was travelling in excess of 40 mph when the engineer was told the crossing was blocked. He was already in emergency braking having dumped all of his air when he hit the truck.

  • @Semitruckman101 lol yeah like the driver of the locomotive could have stopped a 6000 ton train in a few yards

  • You all are silly. A friend of mine (and avid train enthusiast) filmed this. It happened in Lafayette IN at a very complicated train crossing that is no longer there. The blue car does not move because more tracks are in front of him, and then a vehicle intersection. It was not staged and got a lot of publicity since it was the early 90's and not many people carried cameras to film trains while waiting on them in traffic. Oh, and no one died.

  • Lol you gotta love the engineer just sitting there

  • I guess some people have turned stupidity into a form of art

  • i know what can stop a train........

    brakes can...

  • it takes a half mile to stop a train

  • @njquadracer11 ya going 60 MPH

  • @Semitruckman101 and ur point lol

  • that blue car stopped so the truck would get hit

  • yeah right. LOL

  • After the truck was still like 50 feet from them, the blue car drove right off.

  • i woulda ran that blue car over gettin out the way

  • i saw that in the news and they die im serious

  • there is no way that was only 5 mph because average walking speed is about 3 mph and that looked faster than i could run. granted im not on the track team but that still seemed pretty fast

  • @kingsyco963369 you're right, that was faster than 5mph. it would be tough for you to run beside it and be keeping up with it like that. avg run speed is 8-10 mph (jogging) and that train would have passed you jogging. sprinting all, you could probably stay with it but that's around 14mph but, ive hit 19mph before; granted i run track.

  • HOLY DICK!!!!

  • lol stupid truck

  • @fireboy900345 lol stupid train for not stopping

  • i love the power. its like my caprice hitting a stupid tarrier.

  • this is a pre set up stunt on a documentory from descovery channel called train wrecks.

  • it was absolutely not staged. LOL.

True it has been featured on many documentaries including Discovery, but it was not staged.

  • thats on train wrecks

  • And now no one will know if a train is coming because the gate and crosshatches are gone!

  • repair

  • Dumbass don't shift gears on a rXr crossing!

  • It's because the idiot car driver in front of the truck DIDN'T MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!!! Instead, he just watches, LIKE AN IDIOT.

  • I think you shouldn't drive onto the tracks in the first place if you see you can't get off them again.

And then again, I as the car driver would of course speed up so that someone behind me could leave the tracks.

But here it seemed to be too late. The signals had to be all red, the truck couldn't stand there for that long...

  • TRUCKER:I'VE BEEN HIT GOOD BUDDY!

  • hancock help him!

  • fairly n00bie

  • What a waste of a good truck. That is why they must stop before crossing and look both ways, truck or bus.

  • Maybe it wasnt his fault

  • Maybe the train is always alowed to go first and nothing can stop it and thefore the truck had no reason to be on the track?

  • Maybe his truck stalled

  • they should stage a train running thru a building or walmart now that would be cool

  • Yes Walmart sucks!!

  • He taking that truck for a ride :D

  • put a nuke on the track in terriost country

  • not full length clip

  • now i could be wrong...

but i think the train won.

  • Train vs Truck

    train 1 : 0 Truck

  • thanks for stating the obvious now time for round 2

  • dum truckers

  • Also call the 1-800-number on the crossing gates to alert the RR in many cases they can get a dispatcher to halt a train before it gets to the crossing.

  • is this kid like commenting then agreeing with himself VVVV

  • umm looks like it yeah haha wow lol

  • at least someone has the decency to post a helpful and educated response, your obviously a truckie.

  • holy crap!

  • trucks are big, but trains are even bigger!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • agree...............

  • Truck didn't take much damage because the Train wasn't going at full speed, it was going very slow.

  • the train kicked optimus prime-s ass

  • Maybe the train was in league with the Decepticons?

  • "I AM OPTIMUS PRIME", but not against the deceptacons when they take form of a freight train and slam it into me at a level crossing jammed with traffic, though i cuold have just transformed and got out of the way............A new scene creation is occuring here for the next Transformers Movie, how cool would that be.

  • Amazing how monstrous trucks are on the highway but to see it tossed like a little rag doll by a train like that just goes to show...

...their's always something ( or someone! ) bigger!

  • Poor truck.....but it deserved it...

  • what do you mean it deserved it...trucks are what keep half of america's economy going.

  • Trains can haul more and trucks, aren't as cool, plus trains have been around longer and America has enough money w/out bush.

  • are u kidding me our debt is over like 3 trillion.

  • i think trucks and trains are as important as eachother, haven't you seen how they just put a trucks trailor right on to a freight car on a train?

  • WTF dose that have to do with anything. a train will pwn anything nomater how important i is.you could park a tank on the tracks and ill bet the train would pwn it.

  • Or a giant Bulldozer

  • or a bloody office building, it'll still punch a hole through it, we're talking 200 tons of metal sliding down a hill at 40 miles an hour, lol

  • A train would pwn a boat weighing several gigatonnes

  • Unless it is a P42 locomotive a small Mitsubishi truck can de-rail one of those POSes

  • Lol i commented on this like 4 months ago, Did you go looking for my comment?

  • @bignarant lol a 60 ton tank vs a 6000 ton train i think we all know who would win

  • @bignarant WUt about the Bullet train?

  • lol the guy in the car is just watchin like woah wut a dumbass

  • lmao

  • Engineer is just sitting back too.

  • enggineer isn't sitting back, i've worked for csx as a freight line conductor for 12 years. When this occurs the engineer is in the process of slwing the train down and the conductor at this time who also has brakes on his side of the engine is putting them on and is making the call to nearst railyard and alerting police and medics

  • 12 years in the cab and you think the engineer wasn't the individual putting the train into emergency?

As a CSXT conductor you called the police yourself? How did you know which jurisdiction you were in. And you knew the appropriate medical facility? Or did you just dial 911 from a cell phone. You must have worked only local jobs.

I never worked for CSXT, but with Conrail and NS we were instructed to call supervisors and let them handle notification. Surprised CSXT is different.

  • An impressing example for the inertia of masses. 1000 tons of train against 50 tons of truck.

  • lol only 5mph!!!!!!!

  • LOL! That semi caused alot of damage! Why can't people just listen to railroad laws instead of getting drunk and paying for it with their lives? At a crossing, the train ALWAYS has the right of way.

  • but without dumb asses like them youtube will not be as funney

  • True.

  • Semi got owned.

  • Pity the video didn't run longer.

It ended before the wreck did.

  • Dragging it like a toy.

  • why the hell didn't the truck driver just pull onto that grassy area, better off with the possibility of getting stuck in the grass than loosing your job/investment/truck/fines etc.

  • right in every way :)

  • I agree, but if you were actually there in that situation i don't think you would think of that, but maybe you would i supose, honestly when i first watched it i never even saw the BIG GREEN GRASSY PATCH that the truck could have pulled on to , but after reading you comment it's very obvious.

  • truck king of the roads can kiss my ass, P.D. train ..

  • the truck was NOTHING to the train....did it even slow down any faster?

  • Too bad there was no sound. That adds a lot.

  • shit!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the truck was probably stuck in grid lock.

  • TRAIN - 1

    TRUCK - 0

  • "Train vs Truck 2"

    TRAIN - 2

    TRUCK - 0

  • YEAH, REALY, 1 LESS DUMMY ON THE ROAD

  • the bad part of this is that it broke down a signal

  • and the crossing

  • lol!

  • Trains are unstoppable. Only thing that can beat them is...um...an Oceanic cargo ship, or a B-52 (although that would be just one big explosion).

  • Superman

  • I hate this clip.

  • ive seen this everywhere

  • ONELESS DUMMY ON THE ROAD

  • "It's hard to stop a Trane"

  • But Tra-i-n is easy to spell.

  • not unless a tank iz der!

  • The semi truck broke down. The huge freight train needed something like 5 miles to stop.... it didn't make it before the wrecker for the semi got there and crunch goes the semi. Driver wasn't in the semi of course.

  • Owned by physics.... Force = Mass x Acceleration

  • Yep. Physics doesn't care whether you live or die, it just is what it is.

  • know did the driver get out 3 hours ago or is he in the truck?

  • High centered. Very short steep crossing I came upon this wreck just hours after it happened. There was truck pieces all over the place. They tried to warn the train but it just could not stop in time but it did slow down a lot. Only about 3min from where I used to live. Knoxville TN Fox road.

  • i'd know but...it's stupid...

    Is that a Kenworth ??

  • That would be a Freightliner.

  • did the driver get out?

  • That happened where I live back in like, the 90's. I remember seeing that exact video on our News. lol. I know the exact crossing where it happened.

  • remember, train ALWAYS wins

  • Like they tell ya in Driver's Ed, DON'T stop on the tracks! WOnder if they had to clean the seat in the truck.... :D

  • no the truck isnt, the driver is

  • WOW THE TRUCK IS A VERY STUPID

  • I dunno I think the truck driver has a bigger role in the poor outcome of the truck. Lets point fingers where they should.
