  • Ok, I may not be a singer. But, I was under the impression that breeathing from your diaphragm was the best way to go. Not breathing from your chest...Maybe I'm wrong......

  • thanks for the advice. not only it made my voice great. but it made me healthier :)

  • 1:20

    "this sex is tooooooo gooooooood!!!"

  • dude! who/what are you looking at?

  • The breathing exercise at 1:05 .. You should breathe in from the nose !

  • @mohitl1985 That's not true. You don't have to breath in the nose during an exercise like this.

  • I did an Art of living course where they taught Pranayam, yoga and a special breathing technique .. I have been practising that and my Vocal strength and stamina has increased manifolds :)

  • Hi David, sorry for the correction:as a matter of fact lung capacity can't be expanded, holding the breath doesn't develop your diaphragm and taking a full breath as you demonstrates by raising your chest and shoulders which then collapse when you push your air out is contrary to efficient breathing. The chest and shoulders shouldn't move, and most importantly for a singer it's necessary to learn to manage the breath, not to augment its volume or the pressure with which it is exhaled.

  • @taurdur I have taken professional vocal coaching for a month now and these are the first things that I also saw was wrong in this video. I just cannot believe the amount of misinformation out there. Thanks.

  • @taurdur sorry to tell you, but you are wrong as well. For some people it's good t breath the way you explained it and for other people it's better to to it the way David explained it. There are two types of breathing and it has something to do with ur birthday. It's important to know, if you are a solar person or a lunar one.

  • @taurdur Lung capacity actually can be increased by doing various cardio and aerobic activities, as well as other things.

  • The fact that people actually thing this is how the singing process works is a travesty.

All this guy's videos are filled with wrong wrong wrong. Its a sad thing.

  • @Webarton So much poor advice in one video...People should pick up Richard Miller instead of seeking a youtube quick-fix

  • @Webarton This particular video is not wrong at all.

  • great advices!

  • thanks , great advices !!

  • great advice!! I would have never thought of this.. thankyou!!!

  • this is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......what a blessing on a Saturday morning

. its nice to find people who really know how to teach and be generous..thank you ..gracias.!!!

  • this guy has no clue!

  • I learned this in Band ^^!!

  • Don't forget panting

  • This is a great help although ive been singing since i was 4

    xxMarinaxx

  • When he breathed at 1:07 his shoulder lifted up. I thought your'e not supposed to let that happen when breathing correctly?

  • @gabannaania174 you're right, but in your you should be aware of where you can breath at.

  • @gabannaania174 I'm fairly certain he was just exaggerating for effect. Besides, you can breath into your stomach AND chest for MAXIMUM AIR.

  • This guy's great and to the point!

  • Im confused when you breath properly your diaphragm/stomach moves out do you hold it when singing or do you gradually release the air so your stomach decends in when singing?

  • @ds1985 he said.....realse slowly,listen carefully

  • @ds1985 your stomach should be descending in by nature if you're having your air flow on you vibrations.

  • @ds1985 you gradually release it... never hold your breath. there should be a little air left after you have let the air out

  • wow thank you...it has helped me!

  • Not bad;; any 'learn to sing with diaphram?"
