  • Who the fucks skip bayless ahahha

  • First u hate on Calvin den on tebow

  • Fuck Chris carter that's what he gets for hating I remember he was hating on darries heyward bey when he got drafted talking all that shit. Fuck him

  • Carter has to learn how to debate. When he starting laughing, it was over. Then he brought up his resume, and skip finished him with the "rings" diss.

  • Anytime someone throws in "I played the game", you know they know shit about football analysis. Totally bogus. Great players make the worst talent evaluators. Semper Fi.

  • Skip and Tim are having the most committed relationship in love history.

  • its funny how Skip disrespects one of the greatest players to ever play in the NFL and the praise Tim Tebow wow

  • @sone1ne, 22dab95 is right. Everytime skip bayless makes a bold prediction he is critized. Funny thing is 90% of the time he's right. Think about before the year started. He predicted they'd go 7-4. Well what do ya know they went 7-4. This guy believed in Tebow when no one else did. This man deserves a lot of credit of that. He is the only reason I watch First Take. Without him this show would suck.

  • bottom line, chris carter handled the situation well and professional he didnt even react emotionally when skip said he has no rings.. i watch first take almost everyday.. skip got pissed because chris was laughing.. skip is a dick and hes immature as hell lol... skip bayless is 60 BTW if no one knows this.. hes immature as hell for someone his age. skip says crazy things all the time but he was out of line for that comment, but he did apologize the next day

  • Chris Carter starts to tear up @ 1:49. "I---I-- give you credit for that... bahahahahah!"

  • There are 4 guys at that table and the oldest one at the table is a homosexual hiding in the closet.

  • Honestly surprised Cris Carter didnt get up and punch Skip in the face. Wow.... What a dick. I even like Skip

  • This is the most inaccurate title to a youtube video I've seen. Skip Bayless didn't say anything substantive in this entire exchange

  • @jookboksnmbr3 eh..his most substantial reply was, "yeh, and how many rings you have". pwnd cc. Lol

  • UNLEASH!!!

  • 2:34 Cris realizes he's been made a fool of, once again, and nervously tries to laugh it away

  • Glad Skip didn't let this pompous, dogmatic windbag off the hook. 99% of the former players who now pose as analysts on ESPN are clueless loudmouths, and Carter is one of the worst. "Tebow can't play... Ok, he can play, but he can't win... Ok, he can win, but he can't win a division... Ok, he can win a division, but he can't beat the best defense in the league in a playoff game.... Ok, he can beat the best defense in the league in a playoff game, but he can't win a Superbowl." WHEN DOES IT END?!

  • no one is right al the time but god!!! hell to tebow

  • Skip Bayless is the worst.

  • Skips not always right like he said but this time he is. Tebow is 75% of winning motivating his team on off the field sinelines, i saw Cam this year on sidlines with head down does not motivate your team. Tebow does Denver before year suppose to do what?? Starting 1-4 Give Tebow chance quiet the crowd but likur worst nighte Skip said hes your nightmare but even Skip lost faith this sunday upset me stand by ur man. I wore my Tebow jersey the whole game at a bar i supported him always

  • I wonder when his shock value will run out and people will just get sick of him. I get so tired of all the BS that comes out of his mouth. Anyone who agrees with skip is a zombie.

  • skip owned both these clowns and all the idiots on this post that don't like him bitch!

  • These guys are great! Laughing my ass off. Chris Carter's such a good sport!!!

  • i didnt see chris carter play much but he seems really braggadocious. on a human level i felt bad for him but it was sweet to see him be knocked down to size in 'championship' fashion. pretty sure when he broke him by mentioning the number of rings he had that made him get emotional

  • Since Carter has little if any skills as a broadcast journalist, whenever Bayless cut's him off he has no choice but to remind Bayless that he never played. That's the obligatory line for all these ex-jocks who are now pseudo sportscasters.

I lived in Minnesota during his playing days.Considered selfish and a disruption to the team he also was the self proffesed leader, BUT only he belived it.Not very popular with either his teamamtes, the media or the fans. Never anything resembling a leader.

  • Carter didn't get "told" here - he was personally attesting to the movitational factor NFL players have. Bayless might be right in that there's some things sports writers can figure out from analyzing the game, but I'll trust Carter's word about how players react and respond to motivation over Bayless' endless Tebow love.

  • Skip is making a fool of himself

  • I hate the fact that these former football players think that their word about football should be considered godly and no one can have a different opinion. Im glad Skip Bayless ripped into him and told Cris Carter off, since Cris tried to rub his pro football career in Skip's face. These 'football' analysts get paid millions of dollars to be wrong a lot of the time, especially in the draft... where fans 'who have no business of talking football' be right a lot of the time

  • Cris got fucking told

  • how many players r in the football team? its a team sport. jesus christ skip ur such an arrogant prick for a 60 year old! pointing at people, yelling so u can get ur point accrosed. skip is an asshole!!!

  • Well cris you are just a straight up choke artist

  • Guys like Carter are jealous of the run Tebow gets because they don't believe his game deserves it. It's not that their criticisms of Tebow are invalid, it's just that they voice them too loudly (I'm looking at you Merrill Hodge). Here's the thing: football is a spectator sport, and for whatever reason, a lot of people like watching and talking about Tebow. The real zinger is not that CC has as many rings as Bayless, it's that he has as many as Tebow.

  • Never bring a knife to a gunfight, CC. Anyone who is surprised or disgusted by Skip Bayless asking how many rings Carter has - have you watched the show or heard Skip before? Chris Carter knew what he was walking into, or he should have.

  • only a buckeye gets bitched by skip bayless

  • Chris Carter is a ass hole! "i'm a 8 time pro bowler" he loves himself!

  • @baracudda52 No... Skip bayless is is an arse hole. no respect for people who clearly have much more knowledge and ability then him.

  • @MrTragic95 your right skip is a punk! but come on chris doesnt need to say all that extra info about him playing the game and being a pro bowler! just because he played doesnt mean he knows whats going on in the broncos locker room day in day out! he was just puffing his chest out!

  • @baracudda52 I agree that it doesn't mean he knows everything about football, but if i had to listen to him or skip bayless i listen to him every time. Skip is an idiot who is payed for putting out crap for shock value. Like his call to get rid of kickers.

  • cris carter got owned plan and simple. i for one am not a tebow fan or a skip bayless. but for cris carter to act like a baby and laugh with all his insecurity is comical. he keep looking to others for support cause he had no valid points.

hitting the nail on the head was "how many rings do you have?" skip wouldnt have gone there, if CC would have acted like an adult. i lost alot of respect for CC because of this.

  • @kingnut I lost respect for skip bayless with his get rid of kickers article. His calls that scottie pippen is not a hall of famer. That Tebow is a better clutch QB then Rodgers ( which he probably isn't). His hatred of LeBron purely because he is more TALENTED (not better player) then Jordan. His commitment to talking shit about sports he knows nothing about. His declaration Jordan is the greatest athlete ever (I bet phelps and bolt and countless others disagree and have a fair claim.)

  • @maddymud. I understand what your point was. But don't undervalue Carter's success at the NFL because he is a candidate for the hall of fame. Carter's success makes his opinion on what to it takes to succeed as an offensive player is more credible than Bayless's opinion in this case. If Bayless doesn't agree with Carter's opinion then he should at least be respectful of it. In the video, Carter was just trying to restate the reality of what it takes to succeed consistently as a quaterback.

  • @atime07 -- I LOVE Chris Carter, think he's a great analyst. But, I just don't like guys pulling the "I played, man!" card to trump other's opinions. Think about what a bad manager Ted Williams was. How many awful decisions he mad, and how wrong he was about talent evaluation. I'm sure there was some dork who didn't play next to Ted, being shouted down because "I played, man!"

  • @maddymud

    Try Jerry West.

  • @drbayoms try Mike Leach. Attorney who decided to coach ...

  • @maddymud

How many Natl Titles does he have again?

  • @drbayoms -- oh, so that's the criteria now? The NFL looks at what Leach did at a notoriously horrible program with 3rd tier talent. He's gotta compete against Texas and Oklahoma programs taking all the best players first. He is certainly a more successful college coach than Rick Venturi (I played, man!) ...

  • @maddymud

    - oh, so that's the criteria now?

If it was not the criteria (in Skip's world) he never would have made himself look like an ass by asking "where are your rings"? So apparently Skip feels that Natl Titles/Rings, etc, ARE THE CRITERIA. Do you agree? Think about your answer before posting it. Because if you answer incorrectly, you basically undercut your whole argument. And Skip's

  • @drbayoms -- Skip is merely one-upping Carter's argument. I don't actually think he believes you have to have a ring, to be valid. He's just saying, oh, since I didn't play, then you didn't win a ring. I have seen other players pull that argument on players who haven't won. I never said I liked that argument. So, basically, I undercut no one's argument. Good try, however!

  • @maddymud -- if you weren't so into name-calling, etc., I think you would realize that I actually agree with you on some level. My argument is more to the all-inclusive Playing-ALWAYS-trumps-not playing re: opinion. Do I want a sports GM who worked his way up at least (which is a different argument than you first proposed) vs. a guy who has only consumed and commented on sports? Of course. But, on INDIVIDUAL arguments -- could the insider guy be wrong? Yes.

  • @maddymud -- to further what I said below -- the Browns organization was full of a million guys who were long-time NFL guys, former players, worked their way up the organization, etc. Yet, most of them did not advocate the drafting of Ben Rothilsberger, the guy who plays in their backyard. Meanwhile, my friend who never played organized football did. On singular opinions, the trump card does not always work ... I'm out ...

  • Oldest argument in the book from Carter -- "I played the game, you didn't. My opinion, is thus, more valid." It shuts down every argument. Comparable -- "I don't like Citizen Kane." "Yes,but I've sold a screenplay, and I do like Citizen Kane, so my opinion is valid." Playing the game at a high level does count, but it doesn't mean that every opinion you have trumps every other persons opinion ...

  • Comment removed

  • @drbayoms -- it's a perfectly good analogy. You are entitled to your opinions about Citizen Kane. There are plenty of guys who simply "watch" movies, critics who've never made one film -- and they have every right to put forth an argument about Citizen Kane, and whether it's good film or not. Their argument will live on its merits, not just "I have made films, and therefore my opinion is more valid than yours."

  • @maddymud

Those who can, DO. Those who can't, simply WATCH those who CAN DO. You live in this Kardashian world of being famous for NOTHING. Cris PLAYED on the highest level possible. He knows more than an idiot who NEVER has been employed IN ANY CAPACITY for ANY NFL team. Name one position within the NFL that Skip Bayless has held? Name just one?

  • @drbayoms -- so many major league managers could not DO (all caps!) in the minor leagues, but could manage with great CAPACITY. Earl Weaver -- bad player, Walter Alston. I will grant you that playing the game at a high level certainly gives you knowledge, but I don't think it gives you the ability to be right 100% of the time. Theo Epstein had never held one job in baseball, before he got his first job.

  • @maddymud

Please, get off of Skip's dick. His biggest accomplishment is writing a book claiming Troy Aikman was gay. He was pushed out of the Dallas Morning News and then a few years later landed on ESPN. Where he feeds the egos of failed amateur athletes as well as Madden and Fantasy Football Geeks. Get some perspective. If you want to learn something. You might want to listen to the guy who actually played. This is the same Skip Bayless who said Reggie White was overrated back in 1996.

  • @drbayoms -- wow, you couldn't wait to take the argument to homo-erotic land. I hope you act on your issues soon and get some relief ... Michael Jordan actually played basketball pretty well, and his talent evaluation, etc. was not so good. Theo Epstein never got past Little League as far as I know, and his talent evaluations were pretty good ...

  • @maddymud

Do you know anything about Theo Epstein? Theo actually HAS MORE experience with Sports than Skip has. Theo WORKED his way up. Starting with the Padres. If you are not playing, coaching, scouting, managing, etc, you are simply an observer.

  • @drbayoms -- I do know about Theo. Look what I said -- before he got his first job in the majors, he had not worked in baseball in any capacity, i.e. -- didn't play. And you've changed your tune -- first someone has to be a great player, now they just have to "work their way up an organization." Please stay on track with your argument ...

  • @maddymud

Thanks! I thought I was losing my touch. It took a little longer than usual.

Now that you admitted that Skip's "no ring" remark is invalid and stupid. What actually did Skip say that made any sense in his defense of Tebow?

Because the entire debate was overshadowed by the insecurity of Skip, not Cris.

So what was Skip's point again?

  • @drbayoms

Give me a guy that has played or worked his way up. A guy who knows the inner workings of the NFL, by virtue of being INSIDE the team, at ANY capacity. Not some 25 year old columnist who is known for writing articles insulting Tony Dorsett or years later insinuating Aikman was gay. Now 35 years after his "big splash" he lands on ESPN feeding those individuals with limited intelligence who deride actual accomplishments and achievements.

  • @maddymud

Jerry West put together 2 dynasties totaling 8 NBA titles and 14 Finals appearances. What NBA Exec over the last 30 years can touch that? He won Executive of the year, twice. If you have NEVER played or held a job with the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc, IN ANY CAPACITY. You are simply, an observer.

    Yes Virginia, experience counts.

So what was Skip's job title again?

  • @drbayoms -- and Earl Weaver was the most successful manager in modern baseball history, and he was an awful, lower minor league player with NO major league experience. So, what Major League Baseball team did he play for again? Oh, that's right. None.

  • @maddymud

So what you are telling me is that Earl Weaver had more experience than Skip Bayless? Did I hear you correctly? A guy who played baseball (Earl Weaver) was a great manager.

Actually I haven't changed my tune. When debating another idiot. I ALWAYS stated to him this fact. You NOR I DO NOT have the working knowledge from simply playing Madden or watching football to run an NFL team. Or even to scout, draft, develop an NFL Player. Nor do we know what it TRULY takes to be successful.

  • Fuck skip he hasn't done shit

  • chris carter you're wrong period ur body language shows ur confidence and ur a hater

  • Lmfao this is classic ,Carter look Butthurt smh he got owned!! Lol

  • "no you're wrong on that!" that seemed to come outta nowhere. The look on CC's face was like he wanted to reach out and smack Skip. man that was great tv every point cc made skip was refuting it and cutting him off. I must've rewound that segment a hundred times and i was dying laughing.

  • this nigga said calvin aint top 5 gtfoh

  • Notice how Cris Carter is always looking at Stephen A Smith waiting for him to back him up because he knows he dead wrong. Tim Tebow's leadership does inspire the defense but that isn't even the point. Tim Tebow's style of play allows the defense to rest on the sidelines for long periods of time because he can run the ball and pass it down field to take time off of the clock. Thats a fact. And obviously Cris Carter is too stuck on his past success to admit he is wrong about anything NFL-related.

  • Chris Carter needs to surgically lower his eye-brows...

  • skip acting like a fucking baby again

"How many rings do you have?" its called T-E-A-M bitch

  • @bumsenright He said that because Chris just was piling up his resume to the guys.

  • I hate Skip Bayless because he ignorant and wrong 90% of the time. But for Chris Carter to suggest that Tim Tebow does not inspire or motivate during the game, while he's engineering some critical drives is just bull shit. And i'm not even a fan of the bronco's, just a rational human being.

  • @Sone1ne Skip wrong 90% of the time? He said LeBron doesn't show up in the 4th quarter, correct. Philly won't win the division, correct, Denver would make the play-offs, correct, and he was right about Aaron Rodgers too.

  • @22dab95 Yeah, that' the 10%. I'm guessing you don't watch or listen to the show that often? He one of the biggest trolls out there who says stupid things to rile people up and generate conflict.

  • @Sone1ne I watch the show every morning. And those things I mentioned are the main things he has said that have created the largest controversy around him and he has been right about all the things I said. He has been taking heat for the claims I mentioned but he proved so many wrong. He is wrong sometimes, but who isn't? He has the balls to make bold predictions like the ones I mentioned.

  • some day somebody will just punch the hell out of skip

  • @HypeGGbelgian my man Terrel Suggs will eat him

  • Cris Carter is right. Tebow is not a good starting QB, and he's benefiting from bad luck and stupid mistakes on other teams, outstanding Bronco defense, and strong team play. It belittles everyone else to solely credit Tebow with these wins

  • @thisiscommentary

    Bingo.

  • chris carter is a moron... youve been wrong 7 times... i went to 8 pro bowls..what does that have to do with anything..laughing like an idiot was a good move chris lol

  • i love stephen a smith but he sometimes kisses former player's asses TOO damn much. Skip tells it like it is, Chris Carter - eat fuckin crow. You said Tebow cant PLAY in the NFL. Then you said Calvin Johnson wasn't a premier wide receiver in the league. And now you're backtracking and talking about how many pro bowls you made. Well Calvin Johnson leads all WRs in touchdowns, and Tim Tebow is 7-1. Hows that crow taste Carter?

  • @M3GTR

Look up Scott Brunner and Marc Wilson, stupid. Brunner was a 2nd year QB who took the Giants (before Parcells) to the playoffs. He held the record for most 4th quarter comebacks in the first 10 starts of a career. Ever heard of him? Probably not. Marc Wilson did the same thing. Ever heard of him?

Those 2 QBs ended up riding the bench for most of their careers. Skip feeds off of you idiots who do not realize that their was football before the year 2000.

    THIS HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE.

  • This debate made cc personality look so so soo bad its not even funny..not even about tebow... But just in the fact that he try to shit on skip ...skip made his point whether he was right or wrong , he debated the right way..and then the MORTAL KOMBAT VOICE CAME IN....." SKIP FINISH HIM"...skip" HOW MANY RINGS U HAVE".... FLAWLESS VICTORY. Fatality

  • Sports journalist cant give beatdowns if they never played a sport before. Its all just to entertain

  • Why do black people have to scream loudly to prove a point that they are grasping at straws at for in the first place?

  • @peteykirch

skip is yellin his ass off too. way to be racist.

  • Did i mention carter got his ass schooled by skip? He laughs to try and divert the beatdown he was getting and skip laid into him for it.... Go skip...

  • Carter got his ass schooled, funny as hell. A beatdown for unibrow....

  • 20.25 ppg during the time that Tebow's started.

  • Skip is right, tebow does motivate his team. but he went a bit far with the ring comment lol

  • carter keeps lookin towards stephen a. loudmouth to defend him when skip buries carter

  • Skip is right. The worst judge of talent are most NFL scouts and coaches and ex players. How many players would have been all stars but never got a shot because they are stuck in their BS way of thinking by these so called nfl legends and greats?? Alot! Tebow has proven all these ex players, coaches and writers wrong. The kid can play. Its the existing NFL structure that CAN'T change is the problem.

  • Bayless said you can look at my draft record. What players has he ever drafted?

  • Tebow's wins are against, Matt Moore, Caleb Hanie, Matt Cassell, Mark Sanchez & Carson Palmer who was in his 1st start in 9 months. Go look up who Scott Brunner beat. Until last week he had the record for 4th quarter comebacks in the 1st ten starts of a career. Where the hell is he now?

Also, Skip tries to use Jordan as an example of great players who can't evaluate talent.

He suggests that the "greater the talent, the worse they are at evaluating".

Really? Tell that to JERRY WEST!

  • How many rings do you have? OWNED

  • @MrGriffindor1989

Actually that was a stupid comment by Skip. So Trent Dilfer, Jeff Hostetler, Brad Johnson & Mark Rypien were better and SMARTER QBs than Marino? I guess Marino can't evaluate talent because he did not win a ring? That's stupid. Skip is stupid.

So David Givens is better than Randy Moss, Wes Welker, etc, because he won rings with Brady and they did not? Wake up.

  • So the guy with 1.000 catches has no clue what it takes to be great. But the guy who has never been employed ON ANY LEVEL for any of the 32 NFL, 30 NBA or 30 MLB teams does? Give me a fucking break. Kyle Orton was 6-0 two years ago with wins over Tom Brady & Tony Romo. Is he worthy of anything other than being a backup? Where the hell is he now? For you Tebow idiots out there. Look up Scott Brunner & Mark Wilson. Before you respond, Google those names.

  • Skip is not objective.

  • chris 1 skip 1 after that

  • How much does that host hate his job?

  • Lol Skip is a bad MUTHAFUCKA remember what he did to cordell ,he ain't been the same since

  • Lmao cris got owned! Skip really hurt his feelings with the ring comment lol cris got so mad he laugh

  • Comment removed

  • skip looks like he enjoys a bit of dick in his free time

  • christ carter is a racist

  • I gotta think Skip was a bit harsh here. Cris Carter listed his achievements to validate his knowledge of the game, not to brag. Skip ridiculed him and probably caught him off guard. Both were wrong in this case, but I think Skip was being a bit of a jerk.

  • @PianoMan1532

No, I've seen Cris Carter do this a lot including to other non-HOF players to try and shut down their arguments about quarterbacks or wide receivers he doesn't like. He did this same thing to Skip about Tebow a few weeks ago, I could understand why Skip gets sick of it, and fights back. And really even if you are a great player that doesn't automatically make you into a good judge of talent.

  • I can't believe any of these jagoffs get paid for this junk.

  • Skip is a hater?

Cris Carter is the one that REFUSES to give Tebow any credit after he has been wrong 7 TIMES in a row!

To top it all off Carter resorts to reciting his OWN personal accomplishments as if they provide weight to his argument at all. Skip calls him out on it and Carter feels cornered. He's embarassed, In DENIAL. so what does he do? he starts laughing, an age old, schoolyard defense mechanism. Just sad. Skips not always right. but hes right on this one, Carter is DEAD wrong

  • @mitchellspenser89

I agree, but Bayless is obnoxious. Even when he is right.

Until Tebow stops winning, all you can do is shaddup and watch. Like Peter King said, this is one of the greatest stories in recent NFL memory, just enjoy it...unless your a fan of a team he destroyed in college.

  • @mitchellspenser89

    Actually no, Cris is correct.

  • @mitchellspenser89

Cris Carter laughed because like most people with a brain he found it retarded and ridiculous that anyone would think that all the years of PLAYING FOOTBALL on the highest level made him "LESS LIKELY" to evaluate talent. Which is completely ignorant. Skip caters to dumb teenagers and the weekend athlete who think that playing Pro sports is easy. Athlete wannabes who can't accept that it takes more to be in the NFL than simply drinking SYNTHA-6 and lifting weights.

  • Matt Millen & Mike Singletary come immediately to mind.

  • @TRDBucket

Your attempt would have been perfect if the titles of these two men you named were switched. Matt Millen was the GM. Mike was the coach. Mike NEVER picked the groceries. He simply proved he can't coach, right now.

Further, Matt was not a great player. Skip says 'the greater the player...". If Mike was a GM that would be one thing. But he never drafted anyone. I think you are looking at Millen's rings and not his production. He played on great teams, but was not great himself.

  • @mitchellspenser89 Totally agreed. Chris Carter had no warrant for his argument which was "a player can't inspire a team". That's bogus. Any player in the NFL can inspire another player to win. When David Tyree caught that amazing pass from eli in the superbowl, did that not inspire the players to believe it was possible to win. An attitude of belief vs an attitude of disbelief are two totally different things. Belief wins games, disbelief.. well you know.

  • @mitchellspenser89 I believe they are both wrong. Tebow is the best QB at Denver (a starting QB) but he is nowhere near as good as skip makes out he is at the moment. After a full pre-season (this one will probably end this week. Though i did say that last week) we will see how good he really is.

  • lol how uncomfortable it mustve been to be jay during this

  • Skip is hater..

  • Steven A's looking like, "Shit just got real.."

  • Skip layer in to Chris and all Chris could say was I played I should know.

Chris carter needs to get with the times. Actually Chris needs to pull his head out of his ass. Tebow wins. He does his part for that team to win just like everyone else on the team. The job of every player is to win the game. The broncos are doing it in an unorthodox way. So be it but as long as they win tebow deserves to start.

Chris's idiotic comment about tebow not inspiring the team to play better shows how out o

  • Never heard so much hype for a guy who has gone 7-1 in his first 8 starts. I usually love watching Skip but he was wrong for trying to call out Cris wish Cris would've taken the barber shop advice and whooped Skip's ass. Being a pundit on a talk show doesn't mean you have to resort to acting like a 4 year old with a bad temper tantrum.

  • "Good track record when it comes to evaluating talent"-basically he just says that every sec and big 12 qb is going to be good and that everyone else isn't.He said aaron rodgers was going to be a bust and he's still hanging onto that one.

  • Skip, you've been right about Tebow for the most part but everyone has their opinions.

Tebow is clutch, and he's a winner for sure, but the man has some serious flaws in his game.

I dont even like Carter like that, but to diss the man's credentials, and dismiss his opinion like you're some prophet who knows everything is messed up.

Waiting for someone to pull a Jim Everett on this guy...

Smh...he goes overboad when it comes to defending his issues...

  • Sorry people but Skip is right on this one. Tebow is inspiring his team by what he's doing on the field and how he's handling the bullshit press conferences. Carter says he has to "say things" to his team to inspire them...what the hell does that mean? Carter didn't win SHIT. Now he says what he can to make players like Tebo look like they shouldn't even be trying...he just couldn't handle Tebow getting a ring. Carter is a loser. He's worse than the "one and done" Sapp and Marshall Faulk.

  • @DiceCarlinKinison "Couldn't handle Tebow getting a ring?" wow... you blind supporters are hilarious. Marino didn't win a ring did it diminish his greatness? Carter was a great receiver, Tebow is a flash in the pan story for this year...........

  • He couldn't and u know it. Now ur comparing Marino to Carter?? LOL what an idiot.

  • @DiceCarlinKinison Nobody is comparing Marino to Carter, idiot. The point is you don't discount a player's achievements because they haven't won a ring. Ed Reed doesn't have a ring, is he not a great safety because he doesn't?

  • @2phillyjay2 u r a failure if u don't make the playoffs, and u are a failure if ur last game of the season is a loss. the ultimate stat is "how many super bowls". I wouldn't trade a lousey stat super bowl winning team, for a team with the greatest stats ever without winning the big game. ask the fans how they feel when their team loses a playoff game or failed to make playoffs. Marino is a QUARTERBACK, so his stats of being the best can't be overlooked. Carter is a joke.

  • Why would Cris Carter admit to having the same amount of rings as Skip when Skip never played in the league? Cris just dissed his own damn self....

  • All the doubters who are witnessing Tim go 7-1 have nothing so they revert to, "don't give him too much credit, his teammates are the reason they win!". The problem with that is if the Broncos lose, every last doubter will blame Tebow for the loss. He would get all the blame. But if they win he barely gets any? That ain't fait, if he gets all the blame he definitely deserves most of the credit for wins. Where were his teammates during that 1-4 start?!

  • Glad Skip didn't let him off the hook. Cris Carter has been 100% DEAD WRONG about Tim Tebow (and everything else for that matter) since day one, and he's been disrespectful and insulting about it. Just because you were a great player, doesn't mean you know EVERYTHING about it

  • The QB is what makes a team go, whether or not they have a strong D (00 Ravens,85 Bears) It starts and ends with him, period.

  • someone needs to smack the shit out of skip, he's feeling himself too much

  • Skip made himself into Cris' daddy

  • Um...hate to tell you this, but Skip served no one. Tebow has been playing very well, but I'll lean towards the decorated NFL vet rather than the d-bag reporter.

  • get him skip! haha "how many rings do you have" lol

  • I had to take off my headphones about 1:30 in. I cant listen to that idiot. He is like ESPN's version of Jamie Dukes.

  • LOL Skip is a douche.

  • Chirs Carter is more right about Tebow than Skp. Alex Smith has ten wins and the niners would trade him in a minute. And be real, Tebow wishes he had Alex Smith's talent.

  • @GCMorrisjr

Not an accurate comparison. Alex Smith started the season, Tebow came in with the Broncos at 1-4 and looking like they were serious contenders in the Suck for Luck sweepstakes. The 49ers defense has given up the least amount of points in the NFL, the Broncos have the twenty second ranked defense points-wise. The 49ers have Frank Gore (1054), the Broncos Willis MacGee (920).

  • @sedeyus it's a totally accurate comparison. the niners have allowed 14 ppg; the broncos have allowed 20.25 ppg, including the 40 points they allowed to DET when Fox had Tebow try to, you know, pass the ball. McGahee missed a game, and didn't start another, and his yards rush per game is 77yd/g. Gore's is 81 yd/g.

  • @GCMorrisjr

I'm going off stats kept from Yahoo and they say the Broncos have given up 23.2 points per game compared to the 49ers 14.0 per game. That's a difference of nearly 10 points a game.

  • @sedeyus

The guy you are talking to is referring to the last 8 games. Denver gave up 162 pts, divided by 8 games Tebow played, that gives you 20.25 (or 20.3) points a game.

Now take into account that Von Miller did not play in the Minnesota game.

In the Lions game, Tebow's turnovers led directly to 14 pts (the Chris Houston "pick 6" & the Cliff Avril strip that was returned for a TD).

So instead of 162pts, it's actually 148 pts.

148 divided by 8, gives you 18.5 pts per game. Even better.

  • @drbayoms

Every quarterback is going to have turnovers that lead to points in the course of the season so don't act like that's just a Tebow thing. I more impressed that Tebow has five turnovers in eight games compared to Kyle Orton who had nine in five games. That's a way Tebow helps his defense. And I wish someone out there who's much better than me with stats had the difference in the time of possession between Tebow's offense and Orton's offense as I bet it's significant.

  • @sedeyus

You are too stupid for words. Even with clear evidence you continue to sing this bullshit song. I think the other guy figured out earlier than I just did, that you not intellectually capable of understanding the information he gave you.

When you get a free moment Google Scott Brunner. Tebow will be a career journeyman and backup. Just like Brunner. This HAS happened before. Get some perspective.

  • @drbayoms

Yes, insulting the other person is a brilliant argument. What clear evidence? Who cares about Scott Brunner? The guy was a quarterback thirty years ago during a different era when it was much, much easier to play defense. Going off of Pro football reference, he never rushed for more than 200 yards in his CAREER. Tebow has 500 yards on the season. You don't think that matters a little bit?

  • @sedeyus

Scott Brunner played in an era where it was easier to play defense? So that must mean that the QBs and WRs that played in that era ARE BETTER than the ones in this era, right?

Conversely, that means that the defensive players of this era are better than Scott's era, right?

Do you recognize how stupid that sounds? Actually the problem is you do not.

So why is it that Von Miller and the Broncos Defense (who play in this tougher era) are not getting the credit that deserve?

  • @drbayoms

Dude, you're gonna honestly sit there and pretend that offenses don't have it easier now than they did in the 80s? It's nothing to do with skill, it's all about the rules and what they allow defenders to get away with back then. There's a reason about four quarterbacks are on pace to break Marino's record.

  • @drbayoms

And I'm not trying to take anything away from the Bronco's defense but an offense can help a defense by controlling the ball and not turning it over. Which Tebow has done. Let's do a comparison: Under Tebow, 20.3 points a game. Under Orton, 28 points a game. Now of course Tebow's not all of it, but he is a part of the reason the defense is playing better.

  • @drbayoms

The comparison between these three guys is so stupid. Brunner and Wilson played in a completely different era with different rules about what players could and could not do. The 80s Giants and Raiders would go on to win Super Bowls. The Broncos from 09 - now have been a horrid team except when Tebow has started.

  • @sedeyus

The Giants would not win the Super Bowl until 1986, 5 years after Brunner accomplished this feat.

Brunner's wins put them in the playoffs that year. Parcells was not even the coach. This was not the same team that won the Super Bowl 5 years later.

  • @drbayoms

They still had LT. And Belichick was still on staff, as a Linebackers coach but still.

  • @sedeyus

What you are watching is the infusion of someone new. That's it. The same thing that led Orton to a 6-0 start. A 6-0 start that included a win over Brady and Romo. Not Caleb Hanie and Matt Moore.

You Tebowites are ridiculous with this overreaction to something that was done TWICE in the past. And by your "standards", under more difficult circumstances.

  • @sedeyus

And the sad thing about your weak argument is that you do not even realize you are insulting Tebow. By suggesting that Defensive players in the past had it easier, you are also saying that Brunner and Wilson had it harder, right?

So Tebow is having an easier time because Defenders have a harder time in this era, right? In a roundabout, scatter brained way. You are making my argument about Tebow for me.

  • @drbayoms

You ever heard the expression that the NFL has turned into a passing league? And by extension, it's turned into a quarterback league. It was easier to hide a quarterback back then as there was a greater focus on defense and the run game. Tebow's not a classic pocket passer but he's also a guy who has the ball in his hands alot by either throwing or scrambling and therefore has a greater impact on his team than Brunner did.

  • @sedeyus

What? You just said earlier that Defenses today have it harder than they did in the past. So that would mean you believe Tebow has it easier than Brunner did, right?

Von Miller will be lucky if at the end of his career he can say "I was close to Lawrence Taylor". Personally I do not think anyone will EVER do what Taylor did.

But the fact remains that Tebow has a LB in Miller that already has 2 more sacks than Taylor did in his entire Rookie year. And there are still 3 games to go.

  • @drbayoms

What I'm saying is that football was a much more team game in the 80s. Over the past couple decades, the game and the rules have significantly changed to put much more importance on the quarterback and the passing game. You can't hide a quarterback like you use too.

  • @sedeyus

I understand what you are trying to say. But I want you to go back to 1989. Start at 1989 and list every QB who won the Super Bowl. What you will find is a list FULL of HOFame or HOFame worthy talent. No, you could not hide QBs back then.

List every QB that won a Super Bowl. With the exception of Mark Rypien, Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer & Jeff Hostetler ALL of the other QBs are CURRENTLY IN or WILL BE IN the HOF. You MUST have a stud at QB that can throw. Tebow is not it.

  • @sedeyus

Start at 1989 and stop at Aaron Rodgers.
