In the past, I've often told people that if I had enjoyed science and math like my father did that I'd like to work in forensics. After seeing this video, I now wish I had what it takes to do for animals what was done in this video. As it is, I can only be thankful for the wonderful people who gave Bailey and other animals a second chance at life. What a beautiful video. Thanks for posting.

I have a rough collie who is about 12 now and has developed hip dysplasia. She is on a NSAID now but her hind legs have atrophied quiete a bit. Do you think that water therapy would be able to help her? Thamks I will be checking out loveyourdog as well.

This is just amazing....came across this video by accident and it so much reminded me of my old boy Scamp who had bad arthritis in his front paws and spondylosis in his neck and back...he was treated in a similiar way and he had some good yrs until he passsed away in Feb this year almost aged 15!.....It is amazing what we can do with physiotherapy and water treatment....Hope Bailey is still happy bouncing on the beach! :-)))

Wow, this was amazing.. you can see his recovery in progress. I had a GSD with Degenerative Myelopathy which is not treatable.. and so it was just beautiful to see you work with a condition like this condition that can be helped through PT. This made my heart break in the beginning and soar at the end. I've had collies my whole life....some arthritis but no dysplasia (thank God).

And P.S. My collies have all been swimmers (because my sister has golden retrievers they've always been at the lake a lot right from the get-go) and they are always low in the water like that too!

there are only 20 registered collies in my country and i think mine is the oldest, she a few days ago got intoxicated cuz of a lizard and my family was worried about her cuz of her age.... she barks like crazy even though she's 13....i was the one who realised she was acting weird....basically she was doing nothing....but now she's fine. Collies are such beautiful dogs

i rescued a siberian husky that was diagnosed with a mild hip dysplasia.. your video did touch me and gave me a push of hope to continue her therapy

please if you can share any more ideas i can use?? im living in a country were no underwater tredmills are available.. im using medicine and ill try to use a swimming pool and the sea for her water therapy.

WOW I'm almost at a loss for words. Bailey is so lucky to be loved by such a wonderfull family helping him make such a recovery. God Bless you both! I had a collie same colors except mine had the blaze like Lassie, her name was Tempest and she was a princess to us she was 13 and diagnosed with cancer couldnt walk and we had to put her to sleep, the hardest thing I ever had to do. Your video made me think of her so much and remember the good times we had with her, thanks for sharing!

Bailey is a darling sheltie. He reminds me of my Walter who I rescued from a mud hole. He was owned by some horrible people who kept him outside under a door for most of his life. They were going to shoot him if they couldn't get rid of him. Fortunately a relative of theirs contacted sheltie rescue and I drove the nearly 4 hours into the mountain in a snow storm and fog to get him. He was so sick, he probably wouldn't have lasted another day, living in sub zero temps.
