R38's are now retired. R32's will last into the early 2010's. R40m/R42 will retire fall or winter of 2009. R40 Slants are draining away and would be scrapped and reefed by mid 2009. R46's would last until the mid 2010's decade, and the R44's would be pretty much the same. They would be replaced by R179's.
the A ran r38s for years now all of the r38s disappeared now I only see r40s, r44s, and one rebuilt r46 set. And the r38s are falling apart, i saw one car the screws on the ceiling had super glue on them. XD
They are gone now. R42 next, R40a modified may stay longer, R32 has a lot more cars in service so that will take longer to pull & replace with R160, but by the end of the year only R40m and R32 will remain. R46 will last another 2-3 years probably before they too are replaced by NTT, however they may be pulled "early" to allow more flexibility in where train-sets that will replace them operate. They are currently not allowed to run on several lines.
Talk about creative maintenance techniques. What inspector even permitted that to pass?

Is the express an A or D?
Kote12TK 3 years ago
The D is express in some places, and the A is express in some places.
ibook133 3 years ago
No, I meant what route was the R38 on the Express?
Kote12TK 3 years ago
It was on the C....
ibook133 3 years ago
The one that bypassed the station?
Kote12TK 3 years ago
Oh, that was probably a D train.
ibook133 3 years ago
Are you sure? If it really is, then it's history in the making. R38's are Super-Rare on the D. Maybe it's an A.
Kote12TK 3 years ago
I have never seen an R38 on the A. Only ever seen R44 on the A.
ibook133 3 years ago
Shocker. But have you seen an R42 on the A.
Kote12TK 3 years ago
Yea, a few times.
