they make more voltage go to the eltronics .... witch means more power and faster .. and yes u can do it to ur gen 1 but u should no what ur doing its not east and u have toi have experience but once u get it down u got it but wach this vid close and meny times to lern how and so u have a good idea on how

bro its all good but be care full make shure to get the right fets and the right sodering iron and soder braid thin soder 18gage wire and take ur time and pratic on something cheap first maby a broken curcut brod from toy rc or something

Just a suggestion to ya, I used to wrk in a shop where we assembled and soldered PCB's. When we goofed we used a device called a solder sucker. You may know what I am talking about, but it could cut the time way down when disassembling a board of it's components. It's simple and very effective at immediately removing molten solder from a board without a lot of fuss. It basically is a syringe with a spring inside. Check it out if you do a lot of this wrk. Very informative vid by-the-way.

FETs, field effect transistors. Then control the power going to the motor in xmods, mini-zs, etc. They can only handle so much power going through them before they overheat and blow. The stock FETs aren't all that good, so replacing them with better units lets you run liths and hotter motors. Stacking them splits the load between multiple FETs, and means that you can run just about anything.
