Jon Oliva started his own project known as "Jon Oliva's Pain". Same did Zak Stevens, look for "Circle II Circle". Former Savatage guitarist Chris Caffery can be found simply as "Chris Caffery". Great bands, have fun listening.

Zacks voice is monsterous! reminds me a lil too much of dio sometimes lol but still great. and skolnick is my favorit guitarist but w/o the oliva brothers this band isnt Savatage!!!!!....its great and everything its just like some1 said, some of the magic is gone...but imo thats what makes they so legendary, that when they did have chris and john together magic happened.

Alex did a great job steping into a hard spot. No one could really replace Chris. This is a great album, not as good as Streets or Dead Winter Dead, but how many beyond belief CDs can you have ??

on this recording of the Handful of Rain album its has been said that Jon Oliva actually played all the piano/keys, bass, drum tracks and rhythm guitar himself as the rest of the band was not in the recording spirit after Criss's tragic death. However the pictures were used and promoted as the other members performing their respective duties. Only Alex Skolnick came in to lay down lead overdubs and Zak to perform all the vocal tracks. So technically Jon is all over this record :-)
