i notice that you keep the stock headers on all of your cars....people say that the shortys are a waste, but i took long tubes of my cars and put shortys on and there was not a big difference between the two in hp #'s....or FEELING THE POWER...sure the LT's were a little more powerful but not a crazy difference....

@ROBBY639 im not sure how it would be for the 4.6L engines but there was an article about an 89 5.0 stock that they put shorties on and longtubes and dynoed both of them. They actually said shorties lost 4rwhp while longtubes gained about 15rwhp

I'm picking up a 97 cobra at the end of february and thinking of going with SLP catted X with LM1, and maybe some longtubes.

@TheMustangmaniac95 i mean i have read articles about them losing power, not losing or gaining power, and gaining power...so i guess it is just depends on the car/motor and how mant miles etc....i noticed a difference, but now that i think of it it isnt near as much as longtubes....just dont get an O/R x pipe with SLP's....wont sound sound that good

Yeah, I know O/R x and LM1 or ungoddly loud. I'm actually considering a prochamber with LM1 or o/r x and borla stingers

Theres not much drone but these resonators with an offroad or highflow midpipe is not recommended in my opinion its just too damn loud and raspy for my taste. But then again i like flows with an H but not an X without cats. So all that being said if you have a factory midpipe i think these would sound really good, with little drone. But if you have a midpipe thats catless i'd prob go with something else.

Im half sold on these resonators but not completely... sounds great but a little loud as i put a lot of KMs on my Mach1 Did you get much for drone on the highway? I would be looking at just a muffler swap on the stock pipes for now...

did you ever have it tuned and dynoed if so numbers i have basically thesame setup minus the spacer and headers and i have under drive pulleys but it hasn't been tuned yet wanna know what to expect

@e303gt Nah never had it tuned, but It was very quick when I got traction. I miss this car a lot.... I should have never sold it.

@01GTUntamed Very loud... It was too loud inside... I could have handled it outside but the inside was just too nasty sounding, it popped alot and stuff.

Excellent choice in exhaust my friend - I was debating whether or not to go with a catted/decatted X or H pipe, but this sounds quite perfect.

@WeekendWarrior1210 Its very loud, it sounds much better on the outside than it does on the inside. Inside sounds like the motor is coming apart. I don't recommend.

The 2valve gt engines sound okay but the exhaust notes between the 2valve and 4valve motors is very diffrent the 2valve is single overhead cam the 4valves are dual overhead cam . / in my opinion you get the best sounds threw the 4valve d.o.h.c motors.

do NOT run LM1s w/ LTs and o/r midpipe. Loud as poop and absolutely no tone. Go o/r w/ LM2 or Powerflo, or go catted midpipe w/ LM1s.

yeah i had lm1's too, i'de say o/r h and lm2's would be sexay. i couldnt stand how normal my flow 40's sounded though. lt's would be awesome as well. and cams...then it might make some power too =P

Yeah I had planned on doing a vid of just that but unfortunately I missed the Flowmasters and Off-road H... So i swapped back. The SLP LM1's sounded good but it was just too damn loud and raspy under light throttle above 2000rpm and below 5k rpm...

Thanks! Pypes is pretty cheap and good quality. Bassani has the best quality with the chambered X. VRS, Dr Gas, and UPR are probably about the same... I recommend Bassani for sound... upr for price.... and pypes for price and quality... just my opinion though... read some reviews

Good quality but a tad expensive... IMO... Don't like it personally because of the size of the cats... other than that i've not heard anything bad about it.

Does not sound as clean as the flows do. I love the smooth clean sound of the flows and those slps have a very nasty sound to them and at certain parts of the vid they sound kinda dirty like someone let out a very nasty, loud fart. IMO, I LOVE the sound at idle up to 1500, after that though it loses that nice sound.

Actually I still Loved it, but Stupid government is forcing Emissions testing in Atlanta, and I got tired of taking pipes on and off every year. So I got the loudest thing you can buy with Cats. And turns out its louder than off-road H with Flows. Different sound. Not better or worse just different and equally good imo.
